I'm not sure who is at fault here the retailer or manufacturers but I'm seeing vast differences in pricing and it's unacceptable.

Purchased what I believed to be a 20 pack of superkings but on opening saw there was only 17 in it and for these I paid £7.69. The issue is I bought the same pack days before from the same retailer and he charged me £5.99 ok granted they were not super kings and their was only 17 in each packet but these were in old packaging so not the newer non branded crap.

My issue is that retailers are not able to be transparent and thus leaves us consumers vulnerable to being ripped off. Who is monitoring issues like this?

Will There be standard pricing tariffs that we can use to establish value for money? Will traders be able to set their own prices? If yes I feel this is going to be manipulated and the consumer will be the one paying the hefty price.
