My daughter, Katherine A. Bruno, completed her alleged free FAFSA application this week for the spring 2015 semester. She innocently typed in fafsa.com and completed the application thinking this was the website she had used when attending school in 2010. She was asked for a payment of $78.00 which she paid. Sadly all our personal information was entered - SSN, DOB, addresses, tax info, etc.

Sadly, I discovered after info was entered and payment made this was not the official government site - fafsa.gov. We have attempted to contact fafsa.com this morning to request the account, and all personal information be deleted, and a refund of her fees. We have been on hold for the past 13 minutes with no pick up.

Please advise next steps we can take to recover her "fees" and close her account.
