Intermittent and No Internet Service

For about four weeks we have dealt with intermittent or no internet/wi-fi service. We called Suddenlink on Sunday of last week for an appointment with a service tech. Then, on Monday service was up and working so I canceled the technician. The internet was up and down the rest of the week. On Friday I called and made another appointment with the service technician. The technician came today and said there was no problem with our equipment and no problem with our lines. He said he would turn this over to maintainence. Tonight when my husband spoke to them again after over an hour wait on hold, they said maintainence would be out on November 11th. That is two weeks from now. My husband asked if we would be refunded for the time we have not received service and we were told no unless we were continually out of service for more than 24 hours. We spend most of our days at home rebooting our modem so that we can watch a little tv. This is not right. We should not have to pay for service we did not get and the service we paid for should be provided. There are very few options for internet/WiFi in Nacogdoches and I believe Suddenlink knows they are having problems with their system but don’t care enough to fix it. Meanwhile they keep raking in money for services they are not providing. The call center could not provide a number for a supervisor that could help resolve the problem, a complaint number, or a number for a legal department. Suddenlink has almost a monopoly in our town and they are taking full advantage of it. If I only work a half day, that is what I get paid for, Suddenlink shouldn’t be any different.
