I have been a Client with SunTan City since 2004 and was former employee for almost a year. I have to say that the Lawrenceburg Salon is the worst SunTan City Salon I have ever been to and I have visited several salons throughout the state of Kentucky. I am astounded at the lack of concern for sanitation as well as Customer Service. In the past year they have gone through 3 Salon Directors, 2 Assistant Salon Director, and over a dozen Tanning Consultants. The faciity is unbelievably filthy. Beds are not being properly sanitized, the top acrylic and top caps are always covered in fingerprints and lotion, the mirrors have fingerprints and lotion splatter, and the floors appear as if they have not been swept or mopped in quite sometime. As far as the Tanning Consultants I have to admit that they are the most direspectful goup of ladies I do believe I have ever encountered in a Customer Serivce situation. They don't smile, they hound you about purchasing products, they socialize with their friends and neglect the Clients, and worst of all they act as if you were wrong for coming into the Salon to tan! I am in no way trying to be judgemental because I understand that all new employees need time to learn their job duties, proper bed sanitation, product information, and how to operate Sunlync but let me say that it requires no training to be friendly with Clients and treat them with respect. It is just good manners. I realize the most of the girls who apply for a position at SunTan City only do so for the free tanning, but there is actual "work" involved. Not one person wants to get in a dirty bed or be treated rudely. I have spoken with Client Services on several occassions expressing my concern but hopefully with enough complaints they will take action. When you lose Clients the business loses money. I really hope that the place can make a turn around because it's sad that people in Lawrenceburg are having to drive to surrounding counties to tan in a clean and friendly enviroment.

Bring your own eye protection OP. They have to try and sell producrs, they have a quota to meet and their jobs depend on it. Everybody knows basic tanning beds take many tans to get the results you're looking for. In 10 - 15 years your skin will look hideous from tanning anyway, not to mention the damage.

Rip Off City! $11.00 for a pair of "Peepers" that cost them .50 at the most. Waiting 10 minutes to get checked in while someone smells all 300 bottles of lotion. Basic tanning beds suck, you have to upgrade to get any color. Constant hawking their products very annoying.

It is def irritating when you are trying to get checked in and the employee is taking forever to sell something to a customer!! I went in to the Frankfort location on 3/16/12 to tan for the first time. One girl was waiting on a client and it was HORRIBLE! I got to hear about her boyfriend and how the customer was getting a spray tan so she could look hot naked for her boyfriend. The employee could not seem to stay on topic for anything!! One poor little blonde was checking in customers and cleaning beds also. I felt so sorry for her!!! I was in there for 30 min and the one employee was still with the same customer and the one girl was doing the best she could. Needless to say I left!!
