Charged auto renewal

I noticed the norton renewal cost was 49.99 then on line they had it for 24.99. I turned off my auto renewal several days earlier. I purchased the 24.99 option entered credit card details and it said 24.99. Great I thought, but then received an email stating auto renewal cost of 49.99. I went back into account and the auto renewal was back on. I am extremely unhappy of the under hand tactics. I have emailed them but not hopeful and don't know what to do.
