I ordered a flashlight on a promo from Marlboro where you only had to pay the shipping. Next thing I know there are 2 and they charged me $49.99 for the flashlight and $23 for some plastic thing. If anyone does business with this company they are asking for trouble. The are sneaky and crooked. Now I have to return the second flashlight to get my money back and they probably won't do that. Really crooked company.

LYING CHEATING

I ordered a tac light about 2 months ago, for 19.95 it was just an ok deal, now I get a 69.00 charge on my credit card,. I call and they tell me that it was a "trial period" and that the ad I bought from said so. IT DID NOT! WHY THEY HELL WOULD I NEED 60 DAYS TO KNOW IF IT WAS OK. AS WELL I CAN BUY ONE JUST AS GOOD FOR 20 BUCKS ON AMAZON. THEY WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK NOW. LOIVE AND LEARN, DONT BUY FROM THESE LYING CHEATIMNG SCUMBAGS

Commercial

PLEASE stop showing the commercial with the intense strobe lights. I have epilepsy. I enjoy watching television, but not knowing when your commercial is going to pop up, takes that enjoyment away from me. It's not fair that my LIFE is at risk EVERY time your commercial comes on when I'm watching tv. And yes, it IS that serious for those of us who have epilepsy. Strobe lights trigger seizures. This has been known to happen even in people who don't have epilepsy. A person can DIE from a seizure. I don't feel like it's ok to put people at risk unwillingly. It needs to stop. I get that you want to show your commercials and sell your product, but you can do that WITHOUT showing the strobe lights on tv. If potential customers want to see that part, invite them to check it out on your website or something. Don't force people to be exposed to something that can harm them. That's not ok.

a scam about the product

the beam at night is hardly bright.I walk at night with my dogs and it is not bright at all.i bought the military taclight t1100 thinking it was as good as it was advertised. it was very expensive.I feel it is a total scam. I can not contact the company. Maybe they want it that way.
The flashlight was $56 and a total ripoff. I just purchased 3 taclights for $19 at Costco.It is so much brighter. I feel safer and confident going out at night. I hope someone will respond to me. Remember words go along way promoting your product

Migraines

Ive been sitting on my couch for the past 2 hours with a horrible headache and i just realized that your stupid frickin commercial (after playing 3 times in a 2 hour period) is most likely the cause. Who give a shit it has a strobe. Almost every light you buy now a days has one WE GET IT IF YOUR ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED MAKE SURE YOU REACH FOR YOUR FLASHLIGHT THEN RUNAWAY LIKE A BITCH..Ah but i digress i work in the hvac field and i will personally make it my one man misdion that me and my 30 coworkers and the 60 other people we all know etc etc never purchase your product. So thanks for the headache assholes.

STOP Strobbing flashlight in commercial

Please STOP the strobbing bright flashlight pointed directly at the camera a couple times in the Tac Light commercial. It gives me an instant migraine and causes me to stop whatever activity i was doing or needed to do the rest of the day. This often impacts my ability to work to earn any money.
My migraines dont just go away. I can't always grab the remote and change the channel when your commercial comes on and I know I'm not the only one this impacts.
I'm waiting for this to turn into a lawsuit if it's not fixed please just fix your commercial.

Strobe light on commercial

Please, PLEASE stop showing the strobe light effect, on your commercial. On two separate instances, it has made my migraine headaches flare up. Also, you're just asking for a lawsuit, if it causes someone a seizure.

TacFlashlight stopped working

I bought 2 of your Bell & Howell Flashlights approximately 6-8 months ago. They were on back order for several weeks, but when they did arrive we were satisfied. However, one the flashlights has stopped working all together. I would very much like a free replacement. The items were bought by Georganna Brooks, 24 Pine Forest Drive, Jesup, Georgia 31546, they were put on American Express. I would appreciate any assistance you could afford us. We have also bought 2 of your lanterns in the recent past.

Commercial

That commercial is going to give someone a seizure if it has not all ready. My son is prone to them and i have to cover his eyes or change the channel ever time that commercial comes on.

tac light lantern

Ordered during the buy one get one offer including the deluxe upgrade in early December. It was not clear from the item number on the order confirmation that my order was the 'deluxe' item. I called and was told by customer service that I did not have to worry because all of the orders that were being filled at this time were automatically being upgraded to the 'deluxe' lantern. After a few weeks I checked the order status and could not find my order and the call to customer service informed me that they had been out of stock but the items were now in and mine would ship by the end of the week. Later that week I received a shipping confirmation from Tac Light but when my order arrived, it was the wrong product. Another call to customer service and they acknowledged their mistake and said they would send me two 'deluxe' replacements by the end of the month. Come January, no replacements and customer service now claims that a shipment was received but it was wrong and was sent back so product was now on back order. Customer service, a week later, said new shipment arrived and order would ship in 'a week or so'. A few weeks later, customer service now saying that they had no product but would be in by the end of Jan. Another week, another call. This time the story is we have no product and have no idea when we will get product but I can always complain to 'Corporate'.

I WOULD NOT EVEN TRY TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Bell & Howell Taclight

I bought a Bell & Howell Taclight at Menard's - after two weeks the switch disappeared into the flashlight and it is impossible to use. Bell 7 Howell doesn't seem to care about fixing these switches. Don't buy the Taclight.... there is an exteisive history of these switches breaking.

Recharger taclight

Gave as a gift. The prongs that insert into the base of the charger will not go in. Can't charge the battery. Wrote 3 times to support with no answer. Don't buy this!

Strobe light needs to stop

I am trying to determine how to get this issue to stop; as someone who has epilepsy I cannot just STOP the commercial each and every time it comes on. I would like to know how this company can either 1) stop playing the TV commercial or 2) change how the commercial is done and remove the flashing lights.I am tired of seeing these lights as they have been a serious cause to epilepsy in my life and I do not wish to go through the problem with seizures again. I would like to know how this issue can be resolved. I am going to continue a research on who can stop this company from using this commercial as it is a danger to those of us who have epilepsy.

Strobe Effect in Commercial

As some people are extremely photosensitive and/or epileptic, the very bright strobing effect of the flashlight demonstrated TWICE in the commercial is extremely problematic. I have grand mal seizures and am very photosensitive, and when I watch TV at night, I generally turn off the lamp in my room, as too much light is extremely uncomfortable for me. When this commercial comes on, I have to hide my face in a throw pillow until it is over, as the flashing will incite headaches in me, and could easily lead to a seizure if I allowed myself to watch the light strobe.

The people behind this commercial may be blessed in that they've never directly encountered epilepsy and photosensitivity in their lives, but we are not all so lucky. I wish they would consider the impact their flashy commercial can have on their consumers beyond how it might pad their wallets. If I could drag them to court to compel them to remove the flashing from the commercial, I would. Since I can't, I guess I'll just have to continue hiding my face every time their commercial comes on. Not fun :(

Commercial

Alot of people in my family have epilepsy, the strobe part on the commercial makes them have to go out of the room so they dont have seizures. Please tske that off the commercial. Me myself and sensitive to things like that and pregnant. I throw up almost every time i see the commercial because of the light.

I placed an order for 2 Bell and Howell tac lights in early June, when I called finally reached someone, the told me the product was on back order and didnt have any idea when they would be in. I asked to cancel the order and I was told someone would call me back. Still no call.

Deceptive Ordering Process

During the “unnecessarily extended” on-line order process, they repeatedly kept trying to up-sell me a more expensive product (with enhanced features) – AFTER they had already requested my credit card information, but BEFORE fully completing my order. (Typically web sites only ask for payment information AFTER the order is completed and verified by the purchaser.) I kept clicking “No” to these repeated upgrade requests, as I was satisfied with ordering the product they had originally advertised. Then, in their 3rd or 4th upgrade request (with each request offering a version that cost more money), they offered the product that they had originally advertised (the one I thought I had been purchasing all along) – at a price MUCH HIGHER that what they had originally advertised. I decided that I didn’t want to deal with such a deceptive company, and tried to cancel my order. But, THERE WAS NO WAY TO CANCEL IT – even though I had yet to click on any “Complete Your Order” button which is common on every web purchase site I’ve ever used. So, I had no choice but to close my browser BEFORE completing the order. The next day I see a charge on my credit card. I called my credit card company, and asked them to cancel the charge when it posts – which they said they would do. I’ve ordered many things on the Internet over the years, and I’ve NEVER had any problem – especially one like this. This company is obviously a complete rip-off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
