On Monday 10 Ovtober 2022 my wife was referred to an Orthopaedic Surgeon by a Doctor in the emergency services after falling at hurting her knee. On the Tuesday 11 October 2022 we went to see the specialist in Akasia at 11h00 as per our schedule and he examined my wifes knee and said it is not broken we should use pain killers that were given to us by the Doctor in the emergency services and we must come back i two weeks time. We told him that the sick letter ends on Friday 14 October 2022 and he said call me on Friday i will extend it as she will still be on pain for two weeks. On friday the 14 October 2022 we called but there was no one to answer us. We then called again on Monday where we were told we will get the letter at 16h00 as the specialist is in theater. At 16h00 we called again and to no avail. We then called on Tuesday and found the receptionist whom said she will call my wife to tell her when the letter is ready. She called few minutes later to say the doctor wants to see us at 13h00 and we agreed. At 13h00 we went to see to Surgeon (Dr Chigweza) and he saw us to my suprise he changed to say my wife is fime and there is no need to issue a sick letter after we refused his proposal of operating my wifes knee and he became so rude to us and telking he will not issue that letter we told gim not to put any claim to my suprise he has put in a claim to my medical aid, i saw the claim on my emails qhen i got home, this is fraud and he treated us like we are desperate for a letter if we dont go fornoperation then he will not issue a letter i need a meeting with the management and i am going to report this to the health council where he is registered. He is a foreigner who does fraud on medical aids and black mails clients to go for operations or he will not give them qhat he promised them. Now my wife have to take unpaid leave for two days and go to work in pains. I need a disciplinary and investigation into this or you will hear from my Attorneys for defamation against the hospital for harassment and fraud.
