I have been donating for almost a year at Talecris Plasma. I was recently wrongly deferred. I have had nothing but problems with their staff having attitude and being rude. I have tourettes syndrome. I dealt with a member of their staff bring a trash van up to me and telling me to spit out my gum. I said I have no gum. He said well you have something so spit what ever it is out. I told him I dont have anything in my mouth. I have Tourettes syndrome where I have tics that make me chew the insides of my cheeks. He said oh uh huh and walked away rudely. This upset me from his tone to actions. My Tourette's Syndrome started getting worse and I ended up having to leave before even being hooked up to donate. I called back the next day and asked about the situation and talked to a member if staff. She told me I was deferred indefinitely and it was due to my chart not having the proper information about me having Tourette's Syndrome. I tried to tell the manager that this is impossible I told the intake person I met with almost a year ago I had it. I remember walking in sitting down and starting the process I had a vocal tic that sounded like a hiccup she asked me if I needed some water I explained it was tourette's syndrome and it was my tic. We moved on to other diagnoses and she kept asking me about my scars I had which were from being a dumb teen cutting. And also my depression diagnosis. We went through the whole thing and I was able to donate the whole year with out incident. Now I'm being deferred for the member of staff not putting something in my chart? This needs to be fixed.
