Lawyer Howard Tanner Esq., 30 Vesey Street, Manhattan, NY, took my money and then closed down his businesss. I gave him a retainer fee of $5000 to represent me on a criminal matter. On my court date, he failed to show up so I called his phone which was disconnected. His office is totally emptied out. I did meet a Mexican delivery boy named "Hugo" who told me that he last delivered food to this office 3 weeks ago and that the office has been closed ever since. I feel ripped off and scammed. I don't know how to get my money back and I'm due back in court next month and without legal counsel.
