i need to know if these guts are ligit, i need to call bbb also cause i recieved a letter offering a settlement for some old visa in my husbands name from yr 2000, i asked why im just gettin this 12 yrs later, they say "could be numorous reasons, sold to several different creditors ect." but im also 90% sure i settled this in "05" with other attorneys because i was tryin to get allthese old credits takin care of & was being threatened of being taken to court so we were forced to settle a work comp case (we were winning, so he could get surgery) so we could get the attorneys off our case. but scince i dont have this reciept anymore (didnt think i needed 7 YRS LATER) now im worried these guys will screw up our credit even tho its suppose to be against the law after 6 yrs to put it on our credit report,& these attorneys charge $ just to ask thes simple questions anymore. i just finished cleaning our report so we can work on gettin a home for our children & out of this trailor park (trailor is fallin apart) so please tell me before i return their call on this matter if i can truly tell them i found out their not ligit or they need to provide me with ALL THIER proof of every so called creditor whose had this debt from "2000
