I was considering TD Bank one of the biggest banks in US, till I realized that TD Bank has limited licenses for many activities. Never use TD Bank for an international transaction or to transfer money to another country. The exchange rates of this bank are astronomical and they even don't disclose to you that they are using third party for it. They charged me more than 5% for the exchange transaction plus $50 wire fees. You can transfer for less than 1% with any other banks and the wire transfer fees could be low as $15. I would never recommend TD Bank to anybody.

On April 2nd,2018 I sent an international outgoing wire to UK. When recipient did not receive bitbi had a travel on the 10th. And when no response had a recall on the 12th. Since then I have called the bank repeatedly and always the answer is it is at the recipients bank and Barclays doesn't respond. It has been over a month and no one will help. The recipient has had it traced from his end and was told NO wire has been received from USA.
Who don't call. Who do I complain to. Why is there no escalation department?

I AM EXTREMELY DISTRAUGHT!!! I WENT TO YOUR BRANCH/STORE AT 4975 LINTON BLVD!!! I WAS TOLD BY THE YOUNG LADY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, MY DEPOSITED CHECK FOR OVER $4580.00 WOULD BE AVAILABLE TODAY. I THEN WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT, SAW THE MONEY AND DECIDED TO PAY MY BILLS!!! ONLY TO SEE THAT I AM OVERDRAWN FOR OVER $1333.24 DOLLARS!!! THIS NOW ALLOWS TD BANK TO CHARGE ME FOR OVERDRAFT FEES!! I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO YESTERDAY, WAS UNABLE TO VERIFY MY VOICE, SO MY ACCOUNT WAS LOCKED OUT!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!

I opened a free checking account only to find out 12 months later, it was not free. The have now charged me two maintenance fees and an overdraft fee, totaling $45.61. I want my $2 back. How are you going to send me to collections over a monthly maintenance fee and an overdraft charge on a maintenance fee. Close the account already. Really not America's most convenient bank. When I called in to ask about the account I was told that I had to give them a transaction. SO I had to log into online banking and research one. I never use the account and will be closing it. I will tell everyone who will listen how ridiculous this bank is.

Read the terms of your free checking account. You have to keep a set minimum balance in order to escape fees. That was explained to you and included in your account information packet when you opened the account.
