Would not accept defective item

We bought teapot for almost $100 but found item was defective. Went to Fairfield Ca location and spoke to Rebecca and she would not accept to exchange and even just a store credit. First time even to experience that store cannot accept retire or exchange of defect item. Worst customer Service!

No replacement lid

The gasket broke on my tea thermos (which I love) and now it is rendered useless because it leaks and there is no replacement lid. I feel like this should be an easy request to accommodate and will not be buying from the company again knowing this will continue to be an issue. Life happens to lids much sooner than the mugs themselves, replacements should be available. I'm going to seek out a company that I can have a better relationship with in the long term.

Teavana containers

Same issues as others. Top has broken twice. No replacenebt after 60 days. This was a gift so I have no receipt regardless, buts it's teavana brand. The store said to call customer service. Customer service said I was out of luck and you can't buy replacement parts. Not a happy customer and will not buy at Teavana again.

Terrible Response for Tea Tumbler

I have purchased 2 tea tumblers,and have had the same issue with both. The plastic small piece inside that you use to push up and down to get the liquid out, breaks. Replacement parts are unavailable and after many emails and phone calls I got a 15.00 Teavana gift card for my 2 no good mugs which I paid over 30 a piece for. When I escalated my complaint, I got nowhere fast. Their return policy is 60 days, so they were doing me a favor of replacing them both with 15.00 I will never buy from them again. No wonder they are closing all their stores in the near future. Customer Service and policy is awful as is their faulty products.

Cup with the pop top lid

Lid never worked correctly. Took it to be replaced 3 times!! No replacement ever given they just claimed to have fixed it!! Today a friendly worker said it would be replaced. Well, the manager said I would still need to owe $18 because the defective cup is discontinued and the replacement is more expensive! This company definitely does not stand by their product. It's pretty bad when the sales girl looks at the manager just as confused as me by what she is saying. A reputable company would've did with the sales girl originally said which is to exchange the defective product for something equivalent. I didn't mind spending lots of money on they're overpriced tea, because it is good, but I have to be done with this company. They're simply not a reputable business. After reading all the other comments I've decided not to even bother calling customer service. That too seems to be nothing but time consuming aggravation with a poor outcome.

Manager is giving tea free to mall employees

The manager Jeremy is giving away privately free full size cups of teas to mall employees (who are not working for teavana) and he is taking big big tea bags for free every day to his home. Besides that instead of doing his work he and all his employees are playing with the kids ( who are the kids of mall employees from different stores at the deerbrook mall) during their job hours. He even gives teavana tea cups and small containers from the shelves to the kids to play with them. The kids sit on the floor and rolls those cups on the floor and one of them broke the cup during the game which was for sale. And his employees are also playing with the kids and rolling those tea containers which are for sale during working hours right in front of the manager Jeremy. His employees are going out of the store
During work hours and chat every where at the mall.

Dislike tea in collection

Terrible customer service. They probably hire just anyone off the street to answer their phone it seems like. No help whatsoever, they do not want to satisfy their customers. Received a collection as a gift and two packages of the teas in a collection out of four was horrible! It stated Strawberry Grapefruit which was mainly grapefruit with huge grapefruit peels and so bitter. Disgusting!!! The other was Strawberry Lemonade and another disaster. Save your money, do not buy tea from this company. They will not work with you. They do not want to please their customers. I WILL NOT PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY to my many friends who are tea lovers!!!

Terrible Customer Service

I don't understand how Teavana hires their customer service associates. Do they pick people off of the street?

I ordered tea for my father on 12/7. We still haven't received anything. I called Teavana a total of 5 times - spoke to a woman named Tia twice, another woman, a gentleman, and a woman named Alexandra. I was given wrong information all four times and finally told that a supervisor wasn't available and that I should just call back to try to catch one. what. the.hell.

Tia assured me my replacement order was placed on 12/23. I called back on 12/27 to double check and the associate at that time told me the order wasn't placed - the associate chose to just note it on my account. After requesting the replacement order AGAIN, I called back again on 12/28 and the associate assured me my order would be on its way the following day and even said I would receive it in 4-8 days.

Just got off the phone with Alexandra and she just told me my order was shipped today.........on January 12.


do yourself a favor and do NOT order from Teavana. Try David's Tea instead.

Awful Company

I placed an order via website to send it it as a holiday gift to one of my husband's employees on December 21st. There was the Artisanal Brewing Collection Kit (worth of $69.95), Defense Wellness Tea (2oz worth $12.50) and (Joy Flavored Tea Blend ($0.00 - promotional item). I got shipment confirmation on December 23rd. Then, on December 28th, I get an email from Keyla Brown who identifies herself as a Teavana supervisor. She says I am sorry but the Artisanal Kit is out of stock, was never shipped and will not be shipped, proceeds to tell me that I was not charged (no kidding!) and then wishes me a great day! WTF!!! What kind of supervisor are you? You just made my family look as fools by shipping a $12-dollar gift to the employee! I sent her a reply email, and of course, no response. I call customer service (waited on hold for 34 minutes!) and the rep says there is nothing she can do - the item is out of stock. She sounds very confused at why I am upset and doesn't undertand it. I ask her to speak to the Supervisor and of course, no Supervisor is available but she takes my contact info and reassures me that they will call me back within 1 business day. Nobody called back. Here I am, I call again and wait for another 28 minutes and another rep answers. He says he just placed a replacement order for me. When I tell him the item is out of stock, he then says "well, I was able to place a replacement order." I am sure I will get another email a week later saying that the item is out of stock (still shows out of stock online) and wishing me a great day. Don't you what to make it right for your repeat customers?! My family spent so much money at Teavana in the past! Poor customer service, Poor business practices! Never again. RIP Teavana.

Defective Tea Tumbler

My daughter works at Starbucks as a Barista/Shift Manager and got us introduced to Teavana. We've spent more than I care to admit there and have a large pull-out drawer full of different teas. We bought the tea tumblers awhile ago, but only used them very sparingly as we usually take Starbucks coffee in our coffee tumblers on the road. I'm guessing I've used the Teavana tumbler maybe a dozen times. Anyway, around the same time, all of our tumblers had the same issue - the top mechanism the clicks open and closed came apart. We put them back together, only to have them fall apart shortly thereafter. My wife, being the better shopper in the family, recently took her mug back to the Teavana store and was told she could just pick a new one off the shelf - which she did. Hearing her experience, I stuck my broken tumbler in my car with the thought of taking it in when I got the chance. Last night, I made a special trip to the store to get that taken care of and was told they didn't have replacement parts in stock, they would not give me a new one off the shelf (from the dozens they had - even some on sale) and they would take my name and number to call me when they got parts in. I explained I didn't want to make another trip and told them my wife's experience with her tumbler. They called a manager up the chain for advice and got the same "he'll have to come back when we get a replacement part" answer. I appealed to their customer service over the phone and was told "there is not a lifetime guarantee on tumberls". I work for a midwest multi-billion dollar retail organization (not Walmart) where the customer can return anything with no questions asked - because we want the customer to be OUR CUSTOMER - not the competition's customer. I told the Teavana customer service representative that it would be very easy for me to not be a Teavana customer. He said, "That is your decision." My reply was - I'm no longer a Teavana customer. He responded, "Well, I'm sorry to hear that.". But there was nothing in the response from Teavana to the customer which demonstrated anything like - we want YOU as OUR CUSTOMER.

Teavana online SUCKS

I placed an order for my in laws. I PRESSED THE "SEND AS A GIFT BUTTON" and submitted the order. When my confirmation email came back it didn't say it was a gift so I sent an email and I called to verify 15 min after I placed the order at teavana.com.
I talked to a Gwen, don't know her last name since she refused to give it to me, who was very defensive and told me she couldn't change the order, modify it or cancel it. She asked me if a window popped out asking me for a "message for the gift" and I said no... so she said that then "it must have been OBVIOUS the button wasn't working and it was sent as a regular", and that everyone should know gifts have messages. I told her it was impossible for me to know this if it was my first time buying online (Im a regular at starbucks and tavern in store.. I go there with my husband more than 3 times a week)... anyway, she said then there was nothing that could be done, there was no manager, no upper level, no complain service, asked me if I had any other questions or if that was it and then she hang.

Teavana: Fraud or Gross Incompetence

I have had the most horrific experience with the Teavana website of my entire life. Terrible customer service full of rudeness and outright lies.

FALSE ADVERTISING: discounts offered on website were never applied. Promotions that were applied when placing the order DISAPPEARED in the confirmation e-mail.

IMPORTANT INFO: Teavana is a subsidiary of STARBUCKS and that is where I am currently trying to resolve my ordeal. The number is 877-421-9062 for their web orders and they are open 9 to 8 pm Eastern Time.I am actually suspecting system wide fraud at Teavana after seeing the same type of complains as mine all over the web.

After my awful experiences I looked up Teavana with the Better Business Bureau. In addition to having a rating of F there is an alert for this business.

Either Teavana and/or Starbucks need to get this business model fixed or I smell a class action lawsuit waiting to happen as well as a huge embarrassment for a major corporation.

No show Tea Pot

On June 3rd 2015, I went to Teavanna to purchase a cast iron tea pot to surprise my son for Father's Day. I was told that if I purchase more than $50, it would be shipped for free.
I decided to buy a tea kettle, cup and cup holder. It totaled well over $100. I wrote everything down to be mailed out of State. Well, it was never shipped. I called the manager several times and although she was pleasant, she lied on the UPS service. She made up more excuses about the tracking number to check the whereabouts of my purchase too. Finally, I called the headquarters and to my surprise they informed me that they were not able to communicate well with the store manager. Father's Day went by and no tea kettle, no cup, no cup holder. I am finished with this Company. I called my bank card and instructed them to cancel payment.
This Company has poor customer service. I will take my business elsewhere and informed all of my tea drinking buddies, not to patronize Teavanna. What a rip off.

several misrepresentations

Several styles of Teavana tumblers were on the same shelf at the store we visited just before Thanksgiving. I bought several tumblers, mixed the colors, and gave one to my daughter. When celebrating Christmas early, it was discovered that the one tumbler given to my daught DID NOT have a wire basket for the tea. We attenpted to return it to the store, talked to the manager but she would NOT accept a return on the one missing a basket for one with a basket. She was somewhat hostile to my wife and daughter stating we should have examined the product beore purchasing it. We were willing to pay any price difference. We were treated poorly especially after the fact that we had spent well over $200.00 at the store for the tumblers, tea pot, variious teas, etc.Will we return to Teavana? Not after the way we were treated or with your return policy. (Also it is interesting to note that --well if you/Teavana is interested to find out give me a call.

$ales Aggression

As background, I purchased tea as a gift for my mom last year. Initially, she was a fan of the product and shared she found the store in a local mall and began experimenting with flavors. She enjoyed them and purchased canisters and quantities of tea. Over time, as I asked, she shared she could no longer stand the service. She was too intimated by aggression too shop and stopped the tea. For a refresher, I stopped in tonight to add a gift purchase for her to sample more tea. I'm appalled and angry. In a matter of minutes I'm buying a large expensive 'cup' of tea believing I'm sampling a flavor and then purchasing some quantity of tea I have not understood. I complained to the manager and have received a refund. My shopping evening is ruined and I found it difficult to find further comfort in the shopping mall.. Disgusted. I learned Starbucks owns the firm and I am further discouraged and seeking now to avoid my favorite coffee shop. I do not understand how this store has thrived. Not returning.
