Was just at the McDonald's,, Wetex Parade, Muar, restaurant n ordered a Spicy Chicken Set, Fillet O fish Set n 2 ala carte Mc Chickens by looking at the lighted up overhead display board as per picture attached. Prices displayed were RM10.90 & RM7.95. But I was billed more than RM12+ & RM9+ without realizing it initially paid for the total amount of RM30+. But when I received the Receipt + the change, then only did I notice the incresed amount differing from what was displayed. When questioned the male staff adamantly pointed to a yellow signage with a message of several lines in small print stating that unless we mentioned medium size set, the customer would be served the Large set. THIS IS DAYLIGHT ROBBEEY! No such notice was on the Display board & Neither did the staff say a thing prior to payment. Only after complaining that this ws not right did they refund me the balance & changed to the mediun sets. When the lady supervisor was questioned if such a policy was nationwide, she said that it was a franchise & they could do as they wished. KINDLY CLARIFY & REPLY ASAP to [email protected]. Depending on McDonald's reply, the pictures & what tranpired will b spread on fb for every potential customer to decide if this is indeed a case of cheating the public without them realizing it. Unfortunately the photo size is nore than the allowed size of 2MB, which is ridiculous. Therefore, there will be no attachments. Thank you.
