$1,000.00!? I'm glad I looked around before I went through with the job.

A gentlemen from Terminix came out to the house for a consultation on replacing two small holes where rats chewed the mesh, set traps, and come back for removal. They quoted me for $1,000.00! After I paid, something didn't feel right about how much I had paid. My family didn't feel that sounded right either. The next day I got quote's from 3 other companies. Each quoted me 1/2 the price for the exact same service. In addition Terminix tried to offer me a renewal of $250.00 a year the following year. The other company was $150.00 for the same warranty. Terminix is overpriced with what looks like a 90% premium. Customer service offered to lower my price when I called in to cancel almost so casually as if they were use to this kind of thing.... At this time the 1k charge was pending on my credit card account statement. I called customer service and I was told they can cancel the workman to come over but for some reason couldn't process refund... I asked why and she said you have to get into contact with the branch manager for refunds. So I called the rep that came to my house who basically told me they would price match as a "client retainment program". Since we had gone this far I said ok lets still give these guys a shot. I told him exactly to the penny what the offer was. Turns out they wouldn't match with the warranty. So I asked about the refund. I was then told that my cc shouldn't have been charged that it was just to reserve the work to be done. The following day my credit was in fact charged. I called the rep back and he said that now it would take up 7 to 10 business days for the refund to process! Wow. This whole process is a nightmare and this branch is being run terribly. I should have looked at the competitors before I went for the brand name. Don't get taken advantage of these guys. Look around and get quotes.
