As a new AARP member, I was hopeful to take advantage of discounts through your partner programs. I called for car insurance and spoke for 40 minutes with a rep from The Hartford. We went over my driving history in great detail..the recent accident my daughter had, etc. He gave me a reasonable quote of around $300 a month. When I received all the documents and the on-line login to my account I went to billing and saw that I was to pay over $700 a month!!!!
This is ridiculous. I asked another rep hy this was the case and he gave me the same old line of "it still had to go through underwriting..."
This is BS! I went through my history in great detail..The rep even looked up some of my history. There is absolutely NO reason to give me a quote that far off. I immediately cancelled and I am still being hounded to pay for the first installment!!!
I am not happy. Is this the type of partnerships you wish to represent you?! I realize it;'s a big well known insurance company but they were wrong to do this and nobody has taken accountability.
