My husband & I were scammed by Six Figure Consulting Corp. out of Salt Lake City, Utah. It was represented to us as a business opportunity and told that only 2% of 2000 are given the opportunity. Mr. Nielson told us he was a Christian. We thought that they had a product or products that they wanted us to sell for them. We were told that we would have a coach to build our website. There was no mention of any other expenses in doing this business. We gave them almost $15, 000 and thought that would take care of everything. They said by paying this amount we would make our money faster and guaranteed that we would have our money back in 6 months. When we got set up to talk to our coaches and seen that we were actually enrolled in Thrive Learning Institue – we immediately tried to get in touch with the person who sold us this but he would not return our calls or our pages. We were also not told of the 3 day right to cancel. We told our coaches that this was not what was represented to us over the phone, and they did not tell us about the 3 day right to cancel. All they said that if we didn’t proceed we would loose our money. We worked every night 3-4 hours and on weekends. We finally found a product and finally had a website up and running, but we had no one emailing or buying any product. We had to pay to get a credit card through Authorize.net and later found out that we had to pay a monthly fee for our website which would have been charged to our credit card except that they quit doing business with the credit card company that we used to get into the business.
We all need to ban together to get our money back.
