I received a call in Sept 2015 from a Ken Baker from Timeshares By Owner in Daytona, FL trying to get me to pay a flat rate of $799 to help sell my timeshare. The phone numbers that shows up on my caller ID as Timeshares was 888-311-7653 and 386-304-3211. When I asked him to email me the contract before I decided, he said he needed to have my credit card number first but he would not run it until I signed the contract. He claims he could get me $10 - $12,000. for my timeshare in probably 3 months but he needed the $799 for 'marketing purposes'. He called back multiple times trying to pressure me to use their service. The Resort where I own the timeshare advised me to never pay any costs up front to anyone wanting to sell your timeshare because most of them are all scam artists. Well, this guy is a hustler. After searching the web regarding Timeshares By Owner and this guy's name in particular - there were PLENTY of negative reviews about both. Nothing more than a telemarketing scam that will take your money and RUN! When Ken kept calling and I finally answered and told him I decided not to sell, he got really pissed and hung up on me! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR THIS GUY!
