I just had a visit from a representative of KRI Resorts of which I have 2 timeshares. Without a letter to explain the reason for the visit, just a phone call to set up a time for a visit was all I received. The visit was to explain to owners of timeshares at KRI Resorts that they were changing the way from fixed and floating weeks to points. The change sounds good until I was told it would cost me $3695.oo to change over. Basically I was told to take it or leave it, without any time to think it over. I have already paid for my floating weeks which means I can move my weeks around to fit my schedule, so why am I being forced to pay more money for the use of my timeshare ? If I don't go along with this new system, I was told I would not be able to exchange my time to a different location. It sounds to me like they are just trying to generate a cash flow.
