Poor treatment of Employee in Front of a Customer

I was in the Homegoods side of the Tj Maxx/Homegodds in Colorado Springs when a young man with a Tj Maxx name badge that read Adam on it asked me if I needed help. I responded with a yes and he went on helping me. I was intersted in a chair and he gladly helped me with it. He carried it up to the front as I requested. As soon as he had reached the front desk, the person in charge of the front desk started ranting and raving loudly about how he didn't respond to something she had said over the walkie talkie. I noticed he had no walie talkie on and he said nothing. He went about doing as she asked just acting as if he did have the walkie on. The way Adam handled the situation was very mature and professional. He carried out my item to my car without any question asked to him, I offered him a tip after he finished lightly placing my chair in my car. He gladly refused just saying that my satisfaction was enough (and that he wasn't allowed to take it). He told me about the return system if I didn't like the chair, which I graitly appreciated. I asked him about the woman inside who had raised her voice. He replied with a simple answer. "It's ok. It's just a dialy thing." With a short laugh as if it was nothing. He wished my farewell and told me to have a very nice. day. I told him the same, and I went on with my business. It is very dissapointing that a young man that works very hard to keep a customer like me happy be treeted like this. God only knows what could be happening behind closed doors.

Poor treatment of Employee in Front of a Customer

I know how that feels.. i work at t.j. Maxx and the managment is very rude to the workers ! I've also had this happen to me, while helping a customer i had my head set in and a manager starts screaming at meover the headset saying that i was supposed to be at the front .. i calmly told her ill b there as soon as im done helping this customer and ( withall the other employees with headsets on listening ) she screamed i donty care who your helping you need to be up here at the front right now ! I felt like i was so rude having to leave the customer unsatisfied but i explained to her that we were short staffed ( as always) and i had to go up front to help my associates .. thankfully the customer was very nice and understood ! So yes i agree completly with you !!

Poor treatment of Employee in Front of a Customer

thats just it they dont train the employees .. nut then they write us up for things noone ever taught us to do .. it wont do anything to bring it up to the managment because for the most part they are the problem !!!
