Do not be fooled by the “eye candy” quality of a Toll Brothers home and most importantly their very superficial customer care. We purchased a $500, 000 Toll Brothers home in Fort Myers, Florida (not Estero as it was being marketed).

Our home was delivered to us with a construction defect that allowed rats to enter our attic for 2 years and 9 months after we closed and took possession. Toll Brothers made continuous attempts to band-aid the situation insisting that nothing was wrong and that rats are able to chew through anything and they could not warranty “mother nature.”. Finally, we took control of the situation and had our attic inspected from the inside (something Toll never did). It was apparent that one of the corners was wide open with the roof tiles visible from the inside of the attic and the soffit not connected to anything.

Although Toll Brothers finally removed the soffits and roof tiles and attempted to make the repair properly they are ignoring the fact that our attic is infected with rat droppings and urine. The Project Manager insists that this does not qualify as a construction defect and they cannot be responsible for the heath hazard that exists in our attic.

THIS COMPLAINT HAS BEEN RESOLVED TO THE SATISFACTION OF ALL PARTIES AND SHOULD BE REMOVED.
