On 2018-03-10, i went to exchange a top which my husband bought my daughter as a gift. When i got the lady by the till refused to exchange the top and indicated that the holder of the account my come or authorize me to exchange. Despite the fact that i had the receipt. The manager by the name of Dipuo also refused to help me and indicated that my husband was suppose to indicate to the teller when he was buying a gift in order for him to be given a gift receipt in case the are exchanges to be made.

This amazed me because it was not the first time to return goods to trueworth South gate. And i was even more suprised because i went to trueworths at Eastgate mall to exchange some of the items in the receipt which were bought as a gift and i was helped without being interrogated. I had to go back to eastgate mall to exchange the item.

I have never heard that whenever a customer buys goods he must explain himself to the teller if its a gift or not. I just feel that I was treated in this manner only because i am black and therefore i am a thief.
