I have been receiving messages on my phone stating that my account is ovordue at Truworths i need to make a payment, i did not take this seriously as i did not open any account with Truworths and infact i thought its one of those messages about new accounts and so forth. Up until i receive a call from a Truworths consultant telling me i need to make a payment i specifically told her i do not have an account with them, but she confirmed all particulars including my id number, she advised me to go to any truworths store and findout what is happening, and i quickly rushed there as this was something shocking to me, when i got there i explained my situation there to the guy named Thulani whom i was told he was a store manager, he told me, yes there was an account opened under your name and this account was opened somewhere in durban and i asked him how will that be even possible to not open an account here in Johnnesburg and go to durban an open one but even there he was just too cold about the situation telling me that there are a lot of customers who claim they did not open accounts only to findout later on they did through an investigation, imagine this account was opened the credit offered was R6000 and that person almost finished that amount given same day, does that not suppose to raise eyebrows to the people working in store, however i was told to go and make an affidavit statement and bring back my id book and my smart card of which i did , it was back in january, and last week i received a call from another consultant telling me my account ihas been handed over to the legal team, and to my suprise i am being handed over but they are not done with the investigation, i went to Truworths again to speak to Thulani, he told me the fraud department called me twice and they could not reach me hence they had to hand over the account if i ask they called me twice but they could not reach me and they did not even bother to leave a message or whatever, he told this department deals with a lot of cases so in other words my case is not that important. This guy he does not have that sense of being sympathetic, he is arrogant and he is giving that i do not care attitude.

I hope to hear from you soon as i need to buy a couple as well and this has affected my credit scoring.
