I went into Truworths Vaal Mall store in Vanderbijlpark to purchase an Elizabeth Arden product from the cosmetics counter. I paid with my Bank Card EFT, I immediately received an sms from the bank that the transaction went through. Truworths computer system went off at the same time. They left me standing for over an half an hour for them to try and look for the transaction in their back office. Eventually a lady, which I presumed was the Manager came to explain that an automatic reversal will be done, which never happened. They refused to give me the product without a bank statement proving that it went off. Saturday morning I phoned the Vaal Mall Branch and spoke to the Manager, I was told to come into the store with my bank statement. I handed my statement to him, after about 20 minutes he came out from the back office, telling me that their accounts department at head office is closed on a Saturday, which I am sure he should know. He asked if he could keep my bank statement, he said he would send it to head office on Monday morning and that he would phone me on Monday. After not receiving any feedback by 16h30 on Monday, I eventually phoned the store only to be told that he is off today. I am absoluted shocked by the poor service. I still dont have the money back in my acccount.
