Beware of these scumbags. They are predators and are dangerous. I don't need to go into the same exact details as above, other than to say I am fortunate that I figured out these were dishonest losers. I only wish I had chased them down and called the police in time to prevent them from victimizing any more people. How does this continue to happen - Why hasn't this company been presecuted by the Attorney General - This seems like it would be a slam dunk!

Mofo guy took me for $56 dollars! He had a similar story. He said if i supported our troops i can help them out by sending a subscription to any branch that i would like. The Guy also said it helps him out by getting him closer to his goal that way he can win an award of $2000 dollars in Scholarships. I did not believe him at first, but he started talking to me and had a full on conversation with me so i decided to trust him. Good thing i only gave him cash, i knew better than to give a check. This happened in Rancho Cucamonga California. There have been tons of robberies happening in the area too, so i think it is best if i do not even answer the door anymore. Don't trust door to door sales people!!!

I just stopped payment on a check as well and called the number that he gave me and cancelled, He stated that he it was magazines to send to our boys overseas serving our country, wow what a mess. I can’t believe I fell for this but never again!!!

I had 2 young kids come to my door with the same stories about 3 maybe 4 months ago.I purchused 4 magazines for my husband and have recieved all 4 of them.They may have lied to me but atleast i recieved my magazine.Took a while but i got them.Everythings a sales talk now days but i am proud to say i did not get scamed!

Paid $56.00 cash for Backpacker & Readers Digest large print magazines @ $28.00 each August 1, 2010 to ID #1050. Ticket # b41117 . Contacted magazines & they had no record. I have no magazines. Is there any way to get my money back or the magazines?

Five minutes ago I turned two "students" away from my house after a 15 minute talk. They said they lived in the neighborhood but the address they gave is not from around here. The other one did not say where she was from. Saving money to go to Le Cordon Bleu in Italy. No Le Cordon Bleu schools in Italy. One was born in Germany but stumbled on the name of her hometown. I live in Europe most of the year and speak fluent Spanish and German.

I explained that another "student" had come to the neighborhood just last summer and I bought magazines and sent some to troops. Never received magazines and called number and spoke to lady who's number was soon disconnected. She said it would gake 6 months to receive magazines. Same company, United Circulation LLC. Same phone number. I read all of this forum to these "students" while in my house. If this would have been legitimate, they would have asked me to call their supervisor, contractor or whatever while we were all here. Instead they wanted out immediately.

They are here in our neighborhood as well. Same scenario as you all said. They are here in Houston, TX. I'm just happy that I gave a check and I called my bank immediately after our neighbor called me about it. Be careful everyone.
