Leather chairs from Macys
Bought two leather chairs with ottoman, and the 5 year protection plan from "WORRYNOMORE". They denied our claim stating our chairs "we're not in original factory condition". Today we received a letter in response to our appeal of their decision. This state's that our seating area on the chairs, as reported by their technician is vinyl. So either they are lying, their tech lied to us or Macy's is lying about these chairs being leather. Our claim is not because the seating area is breaking down...but the back! We are totally disgusted. I we will never buy a warranty through these people again.

Claim denied
Filed a claim because the leather was flaking technician came out fixed the two small spots and was covered by the warranty. 1 year later the entire seat of the recliner is peeling and flaking called uniters they sent a technician out and two weeks later they deny the claim saying because we have pets its not covered now. Funny thing is we had pets the first time they came out and fixed the two small spots now that the recliner should be replaced they deny the claim.
Any one on this board and who has been denied a claim should contact Pam Bondi's office and express what a scam this company is.

UNITERS
Worry no more (Uniters) should read (WORRY SOME SOME). What a complete waste of money and time purchasing this rip off extended warranty. It will never happen again.... If I see the name Uniters- Worry no more, I will run the other way. The process is set up to make you not want to file a claim. I purchased a sectional sofa from MACY'S for over $8,000 dollars and the sales person recommended this warranty. Don't Do It.!!!!!!!!!!!
I called today 03/07/17 to file a claim. Got a claim # and now I have to wait 7 days before a technicians calls, then I will need to set up a date for them to show up and that's when the real problems will arise. Not sure if the the technicians are encouraged to find a way to deny the claim but I'm going to be ready for them. Wish me luck. What a shame, its like the insurance company denying your claim after getting you make your payments.
At this point.... I WILL WORRY SOME MORE.
PS. I plan to send Macy's my take on this company.

Warranty
My furniture was purchased from Value City Furniture in Akron, Ohio. I purchased two leather accent chairs, WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, within 6 months one of the chairs started to tear at the seams. They sent a technician to my house with a needle and thread. Then told me that the seams were not covered. Rejected the claim.....So I waited six moths more and the chair was tearing on every surface. Filed another claim. Now they tell me that it is from normal wear and tear and that's not covered either, without anyone actually seeing the chair. So this is only a SCAM company with no intensions of honoring any claim. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PLAN OR WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY, UNITERS NORTH AMERICA. ALL YOU WILL RECEIVE FOR YOUR MONEY IS A HEADACHE AND LESS MONEY IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT !

Warranty not Honored
Completely agree. JCPenney is where I bought it from and they are under new management. They saw what happen and just replaced my furniture at complete value. I am never buying this warranty again because it is not a warranty at all.

Warranty not Honored
I purchased new dining room furniture from JCPenney and purchased their extended warranty which covers every kind of accidental damage immagineable. This includes nail polish, remover, blood, water marks, scratches, dents, gouges, heat marks, etc. I thought "wow" it is saffe to finally order a new table even though we have 4 kids! Well, we had a particularly bad weekend and on Friday, nail polish remover (being used without my knowledge:) was spilled on the table. Then, on Saturday at dinner one of my kids slid a serving platter across the table and it scratched it, and finally, on Sunday, my son dropped a lego model on the table and made a gouge. I reported the incidents all at the same time on Monday, and now because there is a clause stating that if there is an "accumulation of damage" the warranty is void, the table is not being covered! So apparently, if you have more than one thing happen to you table, the claim is denied. I have been going around and around with both JCPenney and Uniters and am getting no where, if a warranty sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

Warranty not Honored
When I filed a claim on my leather couch sectional which had been punctured, I had to fax them the claim information twice. Even though I had confirmation that the first fax had gone through, no one called back. When I called them, of course they had no record or the fax, so I had to resend it a month later. After sending it in on 1/12 of 2010, it took months for them to send out the material to replace the couch and still more months to send a tech out. I had to keep calling them of course to keep the process in motion. They didn't end up sending a tech out until 7/2010. He didn't put the material they had sent on, claiming it would break the couch. He instead soddered over the holes and did a crappy job. Also he told me someone would be calling to see if I was satisfied, but they never did. When I called the company to complain about the job, they told me that the tech had put Mr. ____ on the phone with them to verify their satisfaction with the repair. I informed them that that never happened and there was no Mr.____ here at the time of the repair, just me, a woman. There was 2 techs that came out that day. They never came back to fix the punctures. This company is incompetent in the claim customer service reps, the techs they sent out and their supervisors. I strongly suggest not to buy this warranty as they care nothing about actually fixing problems.
