I leased a vehicle from Dick Scott. They used US BANK for the 3 year lease. After 2 years I was contacted by the dealership to consider an early lease termination & they will take care of all fees associated with it. I returned the car with just 27k miles & NO SCRATCH or DINGS. a couple of weeks later I get a letter stating they have done their assessment & the car was only missing the manual ($25 only) ----I did not agree, but fine I'll pay, but then I get a revised bill & this time its for $7,500 due to "EXCESSIVE WEAR & TEAR" on the engine. I called them up 3 times, had the dealership send all maintenance records to prove the car was properly maintained. a month pass & no feedback, till I get another bill following the same amount. So far, I am the only one providing ALL the PROOF that the engine was taken care off; but there is NO EVIDENCE of their claim for excessive wear & tear on engine!!! I already sent a formal DISPUTE letter (mailed & faxed) with all my supporting documents previously provided. & this month I receive another bill being threatened legal action if I did not pay. This is unbelievable!!! Reading through this thread, seems like many people have been scammed ----unfortunately for my case, there is NO WAY I can pay $7,500. HELP!
