SCAM
I am a mom to a university student who applied for several scholarships and grants. My child received a phone call from a John Martin from US Financial Resources 1-800-347-1191, informing her that she had just been approved for the 5,000.00 grant and would receive it in 24-48 hours. John asked her what account she would like a deposit to be made at the cost of $3.75 processing fee. She gave them the account information. She called me with the refreshing news of having been approved of a scholarship grant. The information began to sound suspect to me so I began doing my quick research to find that I am joining many of you with the same compliant. This caused an alarm and I had to cancel several accounts tied to that bank information. In the meantime, John was aware that he was targeted as a SCAM and another charge was hit to the bank account. Students do not give any information to anyone who states you have to pay in order to receive any grants or scholarships. If they are offering you money why should you have to pay a fee to get it. It is a costly price to pay don't do it. Scholarships and grants are free
