For the past 7 years I have participated in the Wageworks dependent care program where I contributed money from my paycheck which I then claimed by showing that the expenses were for my now 8 year old daughter. In all my years, I have had no issues until I left my previous employer HSBC. As of Aug. 31, 2015 I left the Bank. At the time of my departure, I had $184 left in my dependent care account as I was able to claim close to $3000 in August before I left by showing that we incurred expenses for our daughter's education and summer programs. In the past several months, I have submitted at least 5 claims for the $184 only to be denied because the time of service did not align with the payment date. The last claim submission, I submitted a check (both back and front picture dated 5/31/2015 - service date 6/24 - 7/24) that was rejected because of the check being dated outside of service. I tried explaining that I have to pay in advance and that I cannot simply show up with her the day camp starts. I was told by the wageworks rep that I need to get the provider to sign something or a receipt. Infuriating since I have always submitted checks or Credit Card snapshots. Funny enough, they reimbursed me $3000 in August accepting a snapshot of my credit card. I have never seen anything so unprofessionally managed in my life. not thought to it as the reps stick to the process. I want my money! They are neglecting to understand that it is my money. It's not a lot, but its the principle of the whole thing.
