I have had a Walmart money card for which I had my paychecks being direct deposited, on my way home from work stopped to get gas and was told balance was 3.00 and some odd cents, after getting home, checked acvount , there was 2 sustanstial transactions made without my knowledge or permission to places I have never been, called Wal-Mart Money card, gave dispute information, they cancelled that card and reissued another which took almost 8 days to get to me, meanwhile, i had a paycheck being direct deposited 2 days later, and it was but I had to wait almost a week in a half to have access to my money, and as soon as I tried to activate the new card a recording came on telling me I would no longer be able to use the card for direct deposit, nor would I ever be allowed to open a.other Walmart money card. I originally thought they were referring to the cancelleed card, but when my next paycheck rolled around it was not direct deposited like I thought it would be. And had to wait another u days to track down my check. Then 35 days after initial dispute was submitted they denied the claim saying it was valid, and they said they would send documentation to support their investigation, the card was used at a Casino which I have never been to and an ATM in a town I have never been to and I was in fact at work that day and had made several small transactions at a convenience store near my place of employment for soda and lunch that day. So in essence they are saying that I authorized these charges, and will need to send a police report or letter from a lawyer for them to reopen the case...It is very clear by my transaction history where I use that card and only ever took out money off the card at an actual Walmart near my home or work. I feel they are guilty if siding and abetting a their to get away with. stealing money from me. Also since they cancelled the card upon which the fraudulent purchases were made I no longer have access to those transactions, it was a very rough Christmas this year indeed.
