Reward tier withdrawl/switch
I recieved a letter on 11/05/18 that stated that there were no longer the tiers for 40,000 points=$50, 35,000 points =$40 ect. The change took effect on 11/04/18. They advertised for the new teirs $1-$5 in equivalent points but did not state clearly that they were removing the previous tiers. It seems very hinky to me that they would send out information on the changes after they change. Who's the idiot that dreamed this up. Called customer care and ask who was part of the balance rewards team who implemented the changes. They could give me no answer, so I asked who could and they said they didn't know. Where is the transparency? Sounds like one of the "team" members figured out a way to screw the consumer, and someone decided to follow his ideology to help their bottom line. Sending written changes after the change takes place is a shitty way to do buisness. I'm a little afraid of what their pharmacists would be doing if laws weren't in place to check their actions. Would the pharmacists dole out ibuprofen tablets instead of the prescribed Percocet or other more expensive anti-inflammatory or a more expensive pain reliever just to save money. I feel Walgreens specifically miss lead customers and then made sure to wait until the changes came into effect to tell them about the changes in writing.
