On 1/11/19, I picked up several prescriptions. Some of them were new. I had one in particular that I thought was "odd" because it had a doctor's name on it that I didn't recognize. I looked up the name (Spironolactone), which is for a heart condition. I do not have heart failure. I do, however, have a low heart rate and low blood pressure. This could have been life threatening if I would have blindly trusted the pharmacy!!! When I brought it to the attention of the pharmacy, they only suggested that I bring the medication in and thanked me for bringing it to their attention!!!!!
Also, I was in the process of transferring medications from another pharmacy to Wal-Mart Pharmacy. Each time I have gone online to do the transfer. Twenty-four hours later, I get a call from the pharmacy asking me which pharmacy I am transferring from and the pharmacy phone number. I give them the information (again) and think they are filling the prescription. The next day, I get a call from Walmart Pharmacy and they are asking the same exact questions, (which pharmacy and the phone number). Now, I am into day 3 of waiting for a prescription. This has happened with 3 different prescriptions now and I anticipate it will happen again.
Who is responsible for the medication mishap that could have been lethal and how can these disorganized fools fill a prescription in a timely manner without calling me 2-3 times requesting the same information? I have never seen such incompetence.
