Stupid change!
My phone has a horrible camera and won't scan at codes. I always had to type in the receipt number. Now you've made it impossible to save my receipts and use savings catcher. I am so angry about this stupid change where only rich people with good cameras on their phones can access. Now if I lose my receipts I'm in trouble. I loved that even if I didn't earn anything more I always knew my receipt was on the app. Now nothing.

Savings Catcher changes
My husband purchased $101.20 on 10/27/2018. He left the app for me to scan, but on 10/28 the program changed and the 7-day window was OVER. I have managed to make the receipt appear in my app purchase history. but was just informed by Tristan on the 1-800-WALMART line that there is now no way to transfer it other that at the moment of purchase.
So sad, you wasted your purchase. No supervisor available because they are getting so many calls about it.
And what does that tell you, Walmart?

The new policy makes us older folks without smart phones ineligible to take advantage of savings catcher. I guess that's one way to reduce the number of people that can take advantage of the savings.

Savings Catcher Discrimination
Latest email received from Walmart and my response...URGING anyone who feels this is not right to contact the number below ALOT!
Hi Karen,
Each comment, concern and suggestion is very important to us because it gives us the opportunity to evaluate the various aspects of our business. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate team for review.
We will not be changing it back to where you are able to print off an eGift card. The only two ways to spend your reward dollars are online or through WM Pay. Please see the terms and conditions of our Savings Catcher program posted online for any further questions. You can call our Ethics Hotline at 800-963-8442 with discrimination issues.
My response:
So, being perfectly clear...Walmart will continue it's DISCRIMINATION against all customers who do not
own smart phones. A simple yes or no answer will suffice.
Thank you,
Karen A Gahagan

Savings Catcher
I have written at least 10 times complaining about losing my monies I'd earned. I had over400.00 dollars and suddenly it had disappeared! I finally reached a representative whom seemed sympthatical to what happened and was told they would go back and have a special group look into it and send an email after investigating. She said I can't get all that money back but would give me a one time deal and put 157.00 on my account. Well I wasn't satisfied and never heard anymore from them. They stole my money because they didn't like me saving that much! I'm very unhappy ! Cheat cheat! How many more had this happened to?

Savings Catcher Discrimination
Below is my latest email to the Walmart Board of Directors, Ethics and Savings Catcher...this may be a duplicate, first one not showing up.
Yes, it's me again. You are holding my $36.26 hostage. As you know from my many emails and calls, I do not own, nor want, a smart phone. I do not want the Pay app and do not shop online at Walmart. Apparently there are others out there who feel the same, discriminated against, check out the complaint board. Your website still states " print the email from your eGift Card and present it at the register. That has been impossible for many months...misleading, fraudulent statement.
So, you have big changes coming to the program on Oct 29th. What you are really saying is, you and everyone like me is not a valued customer. Get a smart phone or get out...Our way or the highway.
I have enjoyed the benefits of the Savings Catcher program for many years and I thank you. You have enjoyed the benefits of the thousands of dollars I have spent in your stores and you spit in my (our) face(s). Why not stop the Discrimination and FIX the program to benefit everyone regardless of race, color, creed or smart phone.
Respectfully awaiting your reply,
Karen A. Gahagan

walmart savings catcher
I've always considered Walmart policies and procedures to be fair and impartial. But now I see they are not! They are discriminating against the public that does not have or cannot afford smart phones! Your new policies starting on Oct. 29, 2018 will no longer allow anyone who shops there and doesn't have a smart phone to reap the rewards of the savings catcher. I don't understand that mentality! I guess I'll have to shop at a competitors store now. I may have to spend a few extra pennies but at least I know they stand by their loyal customers. Be careful Walmart you may wind up with a discrimination lawsuit! You can't pick and choose who you are going to reward! Sam Walton would be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Sincerely,
Upset in Dallas

Walmart Savings Catcher Changes Not Fair !
We have been using the Savings Catcher program, since it was introduced, and have been satisfied with it. However, now you are eliminating ALL Non-Smart Phone Users, in a very discriminatory way. This simply is Not Acceptable! This needs to be corrected to where it is usable for all.
Be it known: That we will discontinue our shopping at Walmart, spending approx. $200.00 per week, effective immediately. That is considerable revenue lost! Additionally, we will also be looking into filing a class-action, discrimination law suit, against Walmart regarding this matter...
Sincerely,
UNHAPPY CAMPER! ! ! !

Walmart
This new Savings Catcher is a bunch of BULL!!! You are discriminating against people who don't have IPhones or Smart phones or whatever you call them!!! There are plenty of us older citizens (as well as young) who go to Walmart for the good prices and also for the Savings. Now we can only redeem our savings catcher rewards by going to YOUR website and buying something that we don't want - - - HOW DARE YOU!!! You are supposed to be the company that CARES so much about people ... well, you obviously don't care about us enough to want to rip us off by making us buy things on your website that we don't need or want. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!

Walmart Savings Catched
Dear Board of Directors:
This will be my 8th email to Walmart. I have called three times and back and forth emails to/from Global Ethics & Cust. Svc...none of which are able to grasp the the issue. Hopefully this email will reach someone with some common sense and ability to correct the problem.
I used to be able to send my savings catcher balance to my email...print the ecard...take it to my store to use toward payment.
I never had a problem until your recent changed. This is taken directly from your website today:
Gift cards that you've saved here can still be used in stores. Just keep your plastic gift card or print the email from your eGift Card and present it at the register. That is no longer possible. You must have a smart phone and download your app. I do not own, nor want, a smart phone or your app. It is ridiculous to order milk, bread and a slab of bacon for store pickup via Walmart.com. Or perhaps, buy something I don't need via Walmart.com and immediately return it.
So this is discrimination against me and others...see below:
savings catcher/new policy
Having been a satisfied member of Walmart Savings Catcher for a long time and being completely satisfied with the ease of redeeming rewards, the new changes established in February are terrible.
Apparently, without a "smart phone" I cannot "bring" my savings/earnings to the store to redeem. I either have to have a smart phone to be able to use my savings at the store OR must make online purchase(s).
Both of these options are not viable options for me, and, I am sure not for many others. Why couldn't you have kept the original redeeming option and add the other two choices, if necessary?
Please give this serious consideration.
Thank you.
Amelia L. Koziak [email protected]
As members of the Board of Directors, I hope someone has the ability and authority to resolve this issue and stop the DISCRIMINATION.
I look forward to receiving a prompt response.
Thank you,
Karen A. Gahagan

Savings Catcher Theft
Shopping at Walmart today with a final receipt total of little over $500.00. (our monthly Grocery shopping) So when I got home a little later and tried to enter my receipt into Savings Catcher it told me "Oops! that receipt has already been registered..... So beware if this happens to you call Walmart Savings Catcher at 866-224-1663 and explain your situation. They where very helpful and apparently 20 some other customers have also been victimized by the same employee in the last 30 days. So tomorrow we will talk to the store manager on the advise of my phone conversation with Walmart. I guess this could not happen if I use my smart phone to pay.

Walmart Savings Catcher
When you used Amex to transfer money to the Bluebird card it was good enough to use, but now I can't access my money and the so called gift card it is supposed to be on I have no access to, no card was sent, I have no idea what the numbers are to use it with so now I can't use the so called savings in store since I am not going to purchase a smart phone just for that. It is ridiculous how awful this app is now. Also it started not scanning the right receipt number and I get a denied message after it is too late to re-submit!! What a scam this has become, I have contacted Walmart on this and still as of today no replies. I have noticed a lot of items for less money at my local stores not being matched also, so what good is this app if it doesn't actually do that, it is a limited enough matching in this little rural area.

Savings Catcher
I just went to Walmart's own website on Savings Catcher and it states "Savings Catcher compares the price you paid at WM with ads from competitors such as ALDI, Target, Walgreens". I have scanned 6 receipts and found 3 with errors and had to complain about not comping Aldi. Then I go to the FAQ to see WHAT they do comp and the list of items they will not comp is twice as long as the ones they will comp. Basically, they comp items that you would buy every 6 months if then. This is what we in the business used to call "the old bait and switch"....promise them the moon and give them nothing much. Hook 'em and reel 'em in and then give them nothing but headaches. The FTC frowns on this type of tactic and it certainly is NOT what Sam Walton had in mind for his customers (which they are losing in a steady stream and trying to figure out why their sales are not as expected). This tactic is costing them sales every day. When a customer has a budget but wants her family to eat healthier, how many packs of $2.28/lb. grapes can she buy at WM when she can go to Aldi ($.79/lb.) or Harps ($1.79/lb). They seem to have forgotten that without customers they are just a big building full of merchandise and associates. Thanks for the $.95 savings on Dr. Pepper off of my $235 purchase. I am going to Harps and Aldi tomorrow to get my produce.

Scam
I became a member of Walmart Savings Catcher in January 2015.
Since that time until January 2016 I submitted receipts and either got an email stating that they could not find any lower prices or, upon occasion, one stating that they found a lower price.
As of January 2016 until the present (February 2017) I am getting email notices stating "the receipt could not be found." Once in a blue moon I get one that says "no lower prices were found" but I NEVER get any money back from lower prices being found.
I have attempted to submit feedback regarding this issue several times but am unable to because they "are unable to process" at this time.
I know that I am not the only one with this complaint as my mother, my boyfriend, my son, and my best friend are all experiencing the same issues.
I believe that Walmart should be required to credit a percentage for every receipt entered from January 1, 2016 until present day.
