Unexplanined closing of account
My name is Saeed Jorat, (949)690-9511, [email protected]
My wife, son, and I have been customers of WF Bank for at least 5 years. We never have had any problem with the bank. My wife has had an individual WF account for even longer with no problem what so ever.
In April 2017 we all received letters from WF bank that our accounts are being closed. No reason was given for the closing of the accounts. Then, in May we received checks for the balance of our accounts. When we contacted the phone number provided on the letter, the agent said that they cannot disclose the reason. I do understand that it is Bank's right to close an account but it would be fair to provide a reason why.
So, we tried to open an account in another financial institute (Chase Bank). The response was given that you have been put on a list of troublesome customers and based on that, we were denied opening an account. Still we don't know why WF has put us on troublesome list.
I am requesting: 1) an explanation why our accounts were closed and then 2) why they put us on a list resulting that we cannot open an account with any other bank? So, at the least, I want my name be removed for the list so I can open an account with another bank.

unprofessional business practices
I had a credit account with the above for payment for ruges by EMPIRE RUGS. Since the opening of the account I always
paid more the the minimum payment. Because I wanted to pay it, I made payments via their on-line web site.in the amount of $100. Here are the facts
1) at first their web site was www.wellsfargo.com/retailservices that the payments were received. However when I went
on the site January my ID and password did not work. I decided to wait to receive the statement for December to see if I did something wrong. I noticed they changed the web site to www.wellsfargo.com/cardholders. Also it indicated that I was 6 days
late on my payment, but January's bill due date is 02/02/13 and being charged $39..
2) I contacted their customer service and they stated that I was late on the December statement. Upon veiwing the
past three statements I discovered that I was charged $25 late charge for November even thought I paid $100 on 10/31 and November was not due to12/02. Their answer was I can't make payments ahead and therefor late on December even thought their web ste doesn't preventfrom doing it. When I informed them of that the supervisor Jennie said "If you are going to talk like that I will hang up' When I asked for the Head Quarters address to write them about this, she said "We have no Head Quarters" and hung up.
Bottom line is even thought I pay my bills responsibily, I treated like a deadbeat and charged for it both money and credit wise I never heard of such such unprofessional people. If this is what to expect, I suggest not to do any business with
WELLS FARGO. They are vultures with no "Head Quarters"

False Advertising
Recently, I applied for a personal loan to consolidate credit card debt, through Wells Fargo Bank, based on their advertisement online, to provide relatively low interest personal loans for the exact purpose I was looking for. I have good credit, make a good salary, and have been with the same employer for 24 years. I had also recently payed off my car loan through Wells Fargo early. Despite all these facts, this bank turned me down. They are sending me a letter to explain why, although quite frankly, nothing in that letter can justify not approving this loan. This is further proof, that banks in general, collaborate together, to intentionally keep the consumer in as a high of debt as possible. The whole banking industry is corrupt, and needs to restructured to help, and not hurt the consumer. Needless to say, my debts will be payed off, and I will never use this bank again.

How is denying you access to more potential debt evidence of this claim?

Poor customer service
I am disappointed that your bank has recently terminated the personal banker that I have been using for the last several years. As I understand it, she was let go for a lack of new sales. Well, I am terminating my relationship with you for a lack of understanding that it is better to serve your existing customers than to obtain new sales.
Last summer my daughter's credit card was cancelled while she was in Honduras volunteering at an orphanage for five weeks. Her card was upgraded, automatically canceling her existing card. I contacted wells Fargo before she left the country to notify you that she would be out of the country for five weeks and where she would be. I was reassured that I took the right step contacting the bank beforehand. This debit card was the only way I could get money to my daughter.
When I was notified, in writing, that her card would be cancelled I called the 800 number and spoke to four different representatives and got two different alternating stories. It was an automatic upgrade or the card was compromised. Nobody could provide a through answer. I was switched from representative to representative. I never did get a straight answer. Nobody provided any customer service, except Carol Anderson my personal banker. She went the extra mile to arrange a wire transfer to a bank in Honduras so my daughter could get enough money to complete her stay and return home. She apologized that such a mix up could occur. Why would Wells Fargo upgrade a card when they had already been notified that the card hauler was going to be out of the country for five weeks?
Carol Anderson was the only reason I didn't cancel all my accounts at that time. Now you've gotten rid of the only person who was willing to help me during a crisis. If it is your attitude that customer service is secondary to obtaining new accounts, fine. Go get some new accounts, because I am canceling mine.
If yours is the type of bank that puts your bottom line before mine, then you're not the bank for me. One of the reasons I trusted in Wells Fargo was because Warren Buffet trusted in you. As a stockholder I'm writing Berkshire Hathaway to let them know that they should reconsider their investment in Wells Fargo, since the bank is cutting costs to spite its long term goals. If your only goal is to make money, good for you, but you make it from your customers and this isnt the type of service that pleases customers.

Poor customer service
A good friend of mine worked at Wells Fargo. He was 62 and his wife had cancer. He kept working for the insurance, as he couldn't get medicare for a few more years. WF started the whole get sales, get sales which every business wants to do, but they were aggressive about it. They set limits on their employees called "getting solutions". The solutions were 140 per quarter. That's 140 new business deals, checking, savings, etc. to upgrade customers too. He didn't make it. Only had 110 solutions and was written up. Next quarter had 125 solutions. Didn't make it again and was written up. The next quarter made his quota. The next quarter was 6 short. He had been written up previously, so was terminated for not making goal. This was just plain wrong! No one would hire him due to his age. She was able to get treatment through some social services, but they go without any insurance now. When you go into WF and they hit you for upgrades, take them if you can. That person at the bank that you like depends on those solutions more than you know. I closed my account, and refuse to do business with WF again.
