Patient negligence

I have a complaint against the Banning Western Dental.
I went to them in September 2022, started a implant over denture procedure, well after $3000 , and it is now 2023, I still have not got then completed.
I filed a grievance more than once, and all they said was to go back before a certain date. Which I did and they still had the nerve to want to make another$1000 payment and start another payment plan and they would try and fix them.
All they did was put two implant s in my jaw. The teeth never fit and they were really SLANTED. They told me there was nothing more they could do. They made them too many times. All of which didn't for.
All this time I have no teeth.
They did not care but even a little bit. I'm not able to pay them another dime! For what? I've lost my job, I no longer go out. Can't eat, talk or anything because of them
I am going to sue them

Overcharged

They made a plan for me and I started services. I ended up having a stroke and didn't finish the plan. Long story short their trying to charge me for all the work they didn't do! Not only did I pay them but my insurance did as well. I didn't hear from them for almost a year and then one day here they come saying I owe them almost $4000!! They have so many complaints against them for overcharging people!!!

Overcharged

They wrote up my plan and I started services. I ended up having a stroke so I didn't finish the plan. Long story short their trying to charge me for work they didn't do! Not only did I pay them but my insurance did. I didn't hear from them for almost a year then one day out of the blue they contacted me saying I owe them almost $4000!! They are scammers!! Look at all these complaints against them...

Horrible communication

I have had nothing but a bad experience with Western Dental Sacramento CA, 95833 on Northgate you’re here since I got my braces almost 2 years ago. The appointment schedule is issues in both ortho and general. I could be six weeks over my ortho appointment and then want to push it out a month. I have experienced numerous times when they have rescheduled my appointment and not notified me. my most recent experience on January 18, 2024 is I went in because I was having a toothache they did x-rays discover that I had a cavity they couldn’t do it that day, so they scheduled an appointment two weeks out. Mind you during that two weeks I could not eat I could not drink because of the pain. day of the appointment I was under the impression I was going to finally get this tooth taken care of. I was there for over two hours for them to just do more x-rays and take my wire out for my braces. Once the appointment was over, I was upset because they wanted to push the appointment out two more weeks before I could get my cavity fixed. I explained the situation to the guy. He apologized and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The next day I got a call from them the very first time I’ve ever gotten a call and the girls said they have to reschedule for a week out because the doctor called out. I once again explain the situation and how this is horrible and how I’m in pain so she pushed it up two days from the date she was trying to give me. Day of my appointment I was told that I needed to do a deep cleaning and forced. they fixed my tooth when it was time for me to get my wire on I went to the receptionist she told me oh we cannot put your wire in because you are in collections with ortho, I spoke to another lady and asked her why wouldn’t anybody tell me this a few weeks ago so I could have taken care of it so this is not a situation for today’s appointment. Her response was oh I’m sorry the girl should’ve told you that. I explained to her I lost my job and I am waiting for tax season so I could pay off. To be wrongfully done like this is horrible. Should’ve had a choice on how I wanted to proceed now my teeth are in jeopardy, because I am financially struggling at this moment as everybody is currently in California and around the world are at this time. When I got my braces I had a really good job and could afford them. I felt so miss guided, and everyone’s like oh well not my problem. I also called customer service, it’s been over 72 hrs still waiting on supervisor or manager call back.

Cc billing

Unauthorized charges put on auto pay after I directly said what I was willing to change over to I agreed to get a special deal after already having started a contract with them I said I would be happy to get the mounts snaps if everything from the first contract would go zero when the new contract started both of these procedures required the same work but the new one added snaps to keep my bottom dentures in place while I'm under medicine the manager ask for my card I specifically told her whatever work you have done at the time they had not even began the work. Except to numb me so pulling one tooth putting in two studs and my bottom dentures were already made so when I hande her my card I made sure to say now this is going from 2500.00 to 6200.00 minus the two payment I've already had taken from me yes and she waited me no other charges would be applied that she got Allegra to accept the new loan and all she was doing was setting up auto pay for 250.00 a month no more and that my first loan would be canceled well I received a bill from western dental stating I was being charged money for a loan that I know hac with them and Allegra I now have an auto pay with two different sources I never agreed to take on there is now 5000.00 to credit agency and 2000.00 to western dental I spacificou said I was not paying any more than 6200. For this change of denture work and I had made several payments already so this is just absolutely unacceptable I never ever authorized two separate charges I never ok anyone to put auto pay for two loans and I completely said the only way I would accept this new deal is if everything was done at 6200.00 compete I was lied to and coned into a new bill of 7000.00 I tried to speak to the woman who did this and she said the 6200.00 was only for the snaps period when the doctor. Asked me why I didn't get the snaps I said they were to much money he said that everything I was doing would be covered under this new deal so I'm not going to be adding any more cost than 6200.00 that's the only reason I said ok I'm now waiting three months for the surgery to heal but I'm not happy whatsoever I've been played and put into two lian contracts that I never approved at all far as I'm concerned this is the biggest bunch of theifs I've ever seen 6300.00 to put two tiny snaps and then charged me over 300 to pull one tooth. And charged me another 300 for bone transfer that was never done this company and the entire freeking staff are nothing but common theifs that should be run out of business I'm very upset and very close to closing my acct with all of them they should be ashamed of what they charged because I have not been in the office kire than an hour and being charged over 300 for pulling one tooth when everyone else charges 100 I've never been so total ripped off and had someone straight up lie and take advantage of me like they have fraud and no good people work at this place very deceptive I'm very dissatisfied and very close to contracting bbb this shit is way uncalled for and needs to be stopped

Same day dentures

I went in they talked me into pulling 24teeth cause they had a same day denture program and here I am with no teeth and no dentures over two months later. Humiliating and painful cause it's hard to chew with no teeth and embarracing can't look for job cause I look like a crackhead. I had 24 teeth I would never of had it done if I'd have known this every appt was something new they didn't tell me had to be done

Fraud

My wife and I were charged each 628 dollars for services that are covered by our insurance. Our insurance paid them and we paid them. I have a letter from our insurance company telling western dental to return our money, but they won’t and the office manager giving us the run around. I have been waiting for six months now. Please someone help us.

Malpractice

Went in for teeth whitening, they hurt me so bad, whitening didn’t work, gums bled for two weeks, couldn’t eat, went to get my money back and they told me NO. They wanted to try to do the same procedure again. I told them are you crazy? I don’t want to put myself in that horrible pain situation again. It’s traumatic and they said either I do it again or pretty much get out. I made a stop payment on the procedure and now they harass me everyday to pay them $289. It’s stressful and I lose sleep over this. Is not fair. Why would I put myself in the same situation. It didn’t work just leave me alone. Why would I pay you for that? It does not make sense to me. Stop harassing me. I got braces with you I payed you over $6000 for them with no problem. For this whitening, your dentist didn’t do a good job. Let it go. Leave it alone stop calling me telling me to pay you $289. Is not FAIR. Not only that but the last time I was there to get fitted for plastic retainers the dentist pushed so hard that a piece of plastic pierced the top of my mouth and I couldn’t eat properly for another 2 weeks and my regular metal retainers hurt so bad when I would put them on. Bad work overall and yet you want me to pay you those $200. Shame on Western Dental.

Westen Debtal Billing

My wife when to be treated in their Reno office since Doctor is Sparks cannot perform the job, was getting the end of the year and told my wife she needed to return until following year since used what insurance cover for that year. I go pissed and told her not to go back anymore they should completed the job since was only November, i receive bill and pay in full, now three years later I receive a collection letter that I still owe them money. They're terrible.

Fraud

i went in to the office on fairview st and 1st street in 2701 w 1st st santa ana 92703. Over 6 months ago around January 16th or February 13th on a saturday. I used my medi-cal for the x-ray and cleaning. Thats all medi-cal covers.  And i required more dental work. I also have Humana dental insurance but did not have that insurance information at the time So i agreed to pay cash for the rest.and on Monday call with the Humana insurance information. I paid  Around $2,000 with a credit card. i called western dental immediately on Monday morning with my Humana insurance information.  Silvia said she will bill my insurance and once they pay then she will submit for my reimbursement . Well Humana and medi-cal pain and western dental agreed to reimburse my money . after about 5 to 6 months later Silvia from western dental in santa ana eventually called me to get my credit card info over the phone so they can return it to the same credit card i used. Then after about 4 weeks later i called her. She sounded so upset that corporate decided to go back on their words and the agreement forms they signed and decided not return  me my own money. She didn't call me i had to call her. They are saying that the money i paid will cover the x-ray and cleaning.  Its almost $900.00. Unbelievable.! I called my insurance Humana and they confirmed that western dental got paid by them. I also called medi-cal and they confirmed they paid for cleaning and    x-rays  .So im very upset and aware of this crime.  It is against the law to collect twice for the same service/treatment.   I work for a doctors office and am very aware of the billing prosses. If i do not received my own money back . This is unacceptable. I have had such amazing patience i just cant believe i let this matter go for so long. Its been over 6 months. Silvia had tried to help me with no success. She even said it was so unfair and wrong. She advised me to try to get my reimbursement on my own. So why is there a customer service for.  She hadno problem collecting from me and the insurance companies. I have all 4 if my children going there and My 2 older boys got their braces there and are still going for treatment. I have never been late on any payments. I even paid their braces off in full over $6000. I am very responsible. I am a mother of four children and work full time .i refused to get ripped off like that in silence.  Unacceptable!

Western Dental Dentist

My son:
About 2 years ago my son had a cavity covered with a filling at Western Dental Santa Cruz office. Covered? Yes I meant covered. Last week, that same tooth cracked away. (My kids have already had their dental care transferred from Western Dental to another dentist.) Per the new dentist, Western Dental did not drill out the cavity. Instead they covered it with a filling which allowed the cavity to further decay the tooth leading to the tooth to crack away.

My daughter:
My daughter has had her braces for 4 years now. I do not know how many more years we have to go. During the 4 years, she has had 9 Orthodontics in the Western Dental Santa Cruz office. The care plan and clinical notes must be poorly written because each new Dr. isn't aware of the care plan. The front staff does not allow the parent to go back to the chair to discuss the plan with each new Dr. I have had to demand to go to the chair with my daughter to ensure there isn't a new Dr that doesn't know the plan.

3 years ago we were referred to an oral surgeon for a cast and bond procedure, which is when they open the gum line to attach a chain to the embedded teeth to assist the adult teeth to come down. At the next Ortho appt the Ortho assistant who attaches the wires or/and bands to the braces asked my daughter if they were decorations.

After each visit my daughter complains about the person who puts the bands on her braces. This person has been coughing during every visit and often removes the mask to cough. My daughter said she coughs on her face while her mouth is open.

We have never missed an appt. Just before her appts I receive 4 email reminders, 2 phone call reminders, and a text message to remind me of the upcoming appt. (This is practically harassing.) Yesterday, when we arrived to the appt, we have yet to meet number 10 Orthodontist. I was told we had to reschedule the appt once she got to the chair. My daughter was supposed to have her "casting" arrive. Apparently, it didn't arrive. It would have been considerate if they had called me ahead of time to reschedule.

I insisted to speak with the new Dr to ask why we are rescheduling, why her front teeth and canines are protruding outward, and what are the wires doing, and how will this be corrected. He stated he wasn't comfortable with doing anything with her mouth until the casting arrives. He spoke with the staff to find out why the casting hasn't arrived (it has been a month). Then he kindly escorted us to the front staff to get her rescheduled for as soon as the casting arrives. I asked the Ortho scheduling staff how long will it be and was told about 3 weeks. They will call me when it comes in to get her scheduled. I have no future appt.

I feel I have met my obligations of my signed contract. I would like to cancel the contract. I have been more than patient with Western Dental and their unprofessional staff.

Charges after charges

I'm a patient at San Francisco's 24th and Mission Western Dental. I'm very upset with their service, I missed an appointment today and I called to reschedule, basically they told me they are going to charge me 35$ because I missed my appointment. This is something they should send in the mail to let me know. I don't have money to be giving away just because. This is very unfair. On top of that, they charge me 25$ every month because "I" don't pay my braces on time. I changed my payment to automatic from my bank account so I wouldn't miss a day, but every month I have to keep going to the office and fix their mistakes. I want someone to correct these mistakes I'm tired of going every month to complain and make them fix the 25$ fee. It seems like they are always trying to get my money.

Unauthorized CC charges

Contacted Western dental and spoke with Leo on 1/28/14. I asked Leo to change my CC info to a different CC and cancel the original already set transaction since I could not make the changes myself. Leo offered to make the changes and assured me that the first CC would not be charge. On 2/2/14 my two cards were charged $ 83.00 and in 2/13/14 my two cards were charged $ 101.00. I am paying on two accounts and only one card should reflect payments one for $ 83 and one for $ 101.00.
I called Western dental back and spoke with two different departments who transferred me to a third one, I had to hung up after 13 minutes of waiting. I have disputed the charges with the CC company that I asked to cancelled and have closed that account as well. I figured that as long as the payments are being made as agreed from one of the CC, there should not be any issues. Please advice on how will this be follow up. Thanks

Dentistry

Western Dental, gave me a full mouth of xrays, and a treatment plan. I paid the $490.00 to begin, on my first appointment I was to have a deep cleaning, they finished one half of my mouth, and sent me home. I suffered tremendous pain that day and for two weeks after, I had to go to the emergency room for help. I never went back, I decided the $490.00 was it, and they would never see me again. Now they are trying to chanrge me $1160.00 for 1/2 mouth of deep cleaning and xrays. stating that I have to fulfil my contract. This is crazy and unjust. Western Dental is a joke, I guess I should go back and let them kill me off, because I almost died from 1/2 mouth cleaning and now they continue to call everyday including EASTER SUNDAY constantly telling me to pay up or they will take legal actions. I am warning everyone STAY AWAY from the credit dentist, you go to WD and you could die from their treatment or be harrassed to death for their plan payment if you don't finish letting them kill you.
