Who said the hernia is genetic? I'm wondering why you keep bringing that up? This is the last time I'm responding to you. You have not purchased a dog from Sherri. Have you ever personaly gone to her home? It's strange you are defending Sherri this way. I am simply posting my complaint to this website to make consumers aware of my experience with Wilson's Sandhills Kennel. That is the entire point of Complaintsboard.com It is not debate.com. I'm affraid for the pups she breeds. A lot of people get puppies and dont care to or cant afford to have surgery done. Those are the pups that end up in shelters. I know of many dogs Sherri has given away b/c they are deaf or blind or she just cant find a purchaser. If my one complaint can save one person the financial and emotional heartache or save one puppy from ending up in a local shelter I am happy and you will not make me regret posting my complaint. Clyde had a severe hernia that required surgery. I made many calls and had consultations with 4 different vets to find the most affordable vet with the most modern and safe surgical methods. When you say your vet charges less than $100 I can only assume it's a vet such as the one that signed a clean bill of health on my puppy.

I did buy a puppy from Sherri and i will say this she was not the most professional breeder that I have deal with in the past. She cuss me out and hang up on me more then once. she would sent me emails saying one thing then email me back saying something different. One minute she would be nice the next she would just go off on me. Now I just got my puppy and we go to the vet in the morning. the puppy is a very nice color but he looks to be not taking care of the way he should have been. He seems to walk a lil funny but I will have that looked at when I get to the vet in the morning. In her defence all puppies do have worms and wealth problems happen but i know first hand that Sherri can talk way out of line to you when she feels like you have have her in a corner. I will say this the only reason I did get the dog from her is because she had my money and would not give it back. i will find out in the morning if the dog is health or not. I will say this much if I had to buy a another puppy again i would not buy it from this kennel.

Slick move, lacysmommy, or terri odom johnson, deleting your comment asking me for proof. I guess you didnt want sherri to blame you for getting me to post my proof for everyone to see?
Truth0807, Im sorry you had to endure Sherri's bipolar behavior as I did. It is excrutiating. I hope to hear of a good health report tomorrow. My puppy waddled (walked funny) also because he was so thin and his belly was so bloated with worms. It got better after a few weeks of treatment and good healthy natural food. Hopefully that is all thats causing your pup to walk that way. Good luck tomorrow!

This is a picture of the hernia the day I picked up my puppy. Sherri said nothing of it and the vet did not mention it on the health certificate. The worms were not mentioned either. THAT IS NOT ETHICAL. I'm socked that someone would defend this.
Second is a picture of LIVE worms in his fecies
Third picture is of a different type of LIVE worms in his fecies
I also have videos showing the worms were live for weeks after I picked him up from Sherri. I guess I can upload them to Youtube for you since you are wanting proof.

That is in NO WAY a bad hernia, and I read the emails YOU said the pup had a hernia before you ever picked him up! Puppies get worms. ALL puppies get worms! It's a part of owning a puppy! Worm him and the worms will go away! Hernias are not genetic, and even YOU said in the emails now you know to cut the umbilical chords yourself. You ADMITTED the hernia was caused by the dam! You are on a witch hunt to 'get' Sherri because you're spoiled and she wouldn't cut you an even bigger deal on a puppy because you were a 'repeat buyer' I got news for you, when I was breeding, I RARELY cut deals even with repeat buyers. Not only that, you went behind Sherri's back and bashed her to another of her puppy buyers instead of coming to her. Everything about you screams 'shady.' You are dishonest, spoiled, and don't know crap about dogs. You've made that painfully honest!

You're telling me a hernia is not bad when the intestines come through the hole and get twisted? I guess you are an unethical breeder too which is why you are defending sherri. Go figure. And I had NO idea of a hernia before I picked him up. Wrong again.

Sherri Wilson runs nothing short of a puppy mill. She lives in a filthy little house where she locks up litters with their moms to do all the work. They dont get much human interaction (even though she claims to use the biosensor program). She has 2-6 litters at a time. Look her up on youtube. The last video of catahoula bulldogs looked terrible. You could count every bone in their bodies and their bellies are bloated with worms. She claims her dogs work and hunt. Go visit her house. They live in kennels and on chains. She lets only 2 out of 20 adults inside her gross, stinky home. She keeps trying breed hybrids like the bandog, cat bull, and italian daniff (which should be mastiff x great dane but she uses a catahoula instead of a mastiff) She takes deposits on dogs before they are born. She had two entire litters die a couple months ago claiming they were eaten by wolves and dies up upper respiratory infections. She charges $500-$1200 for these dogs. When you get their pedigrees they dont go further than 3 generations and definitely dont have any titles. If you do get a puppy from her you have to really train it work or hunt. She also claims to give contracts and health certificates. You would be lucky to get that. She uses a terrible vet that sign a health certificate on a puppy full of worms. she has sd many dogs with umbilical hernias, eye anomolies, and bone and joint problems that require surgery. When you tell her about it (since she promises to reace the dog) she will cuss you out.
Please Beware!! She seems extremely nice over the phone to get you to send her a deposit

Thank you, Sherri Wilson, for posting our messages. It really shows how nice I was about the entire situation and how poorly you treated me. It also shows how that the first puppy I picked died AND how you offered to give me a dog and after I drove 2 hours to pick him up you told me you sold him so I went home empty handed AND it shows how you treated me when I asked you about the umbilibal hernia and worms the puppy I FINALLY got from you had. I actually paid you $750 for all this drama and for a dog that had to have surgery (another $300). I love the dog I got from Wilson's Sandhills Kennel with all my heart. All of his medical issues just made us closer. It's just a shame I had to lose all of that money and had to deal with Sherri Wilson to get him.
I was so excited about the puppy we chose when he was just a week old. My children and I looked at his pictures and video multiple times a day for weeks then were so heartbroken the day Sherri told me he and all his littermates died. THEN we had to pick a different puppy from a different litter (b/c I had allready mailed her $750) and wait another 2 months to pick him up. I was heartbroken again when I got him full of worms and a huge hernia that needed surgery to be repaired.
I have tons of messages I can post from other people that purchased dogs from Sherri Wilson but I think that is uneccessary. Reading the messages between her and I should be enough to stear you away from purchasing a dog from Wilson's Sandhills. You can purchase healthier and more affordable Catahoula Bulldogs from more responsible and respectful breeders out there. If you go to the link Sherri Wilson posted above of our messages you will find my phone number (which I believe is very unprofessional to post someones personal information to your kennel website). Feel free to give me a call and I will be more than happy to give you a review and give you numbers to other people that have purchased dogs from her. I know she has some happy customers on her facebook profile. I spoke to happy customers of hers and that is why I decided to spend so much money and purchase a dog from her. BUT all of this happened so I did lots of research and found there are many unhappy customers out there. It's just hard to find them because she blocks them from her Facebook so they can't leave the BAD reviews they would like... Here is one review posted by a different customer that was posted to her Facebook that she quickly deleted and blocked:
"PLEASE ANYBODY CONSIDERING BUYING A PUPPY FROM THIS LADY PLEASE RETHINK YOUR DECISION. SHE IS NOTHING BUT A PUPPY MILL AND PUPPY KILLER! SHE MAY SELL YOU A PUPPY WITH A DEFECT AND CLAIMS IT'S 100% HEALTHY AND EVEN HAVE A "VET" SIGN OFF ON A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH! THERE ARE SO MANY BREEDERS OUT THERE THAT DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY, SHE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DANIFFS? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LITTER OF CATBULLS PRIOR TO DELTA AND FRANKIE? THESE PUPPIES JUST SEEMED TO DISAPPEAR...HMMMM. BUYER BEWARE!! OF COURSE YOU WILL NEVER HEAR ALL THE BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES SHE IS INVOLVED IN BECAUSE SHE WILL JUST DEFRIEND ANYBODY WHO SHE'S EVER DONE WRONG. ALL I CAN SAY IS PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM HER WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER BREEDERS WHO DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY. IF YOU BUY A PUPPY FROM HER YOU MAY GET A NICE DOG BUT THE POSSIBILITY EXISTS THAT SHE WILL SELL YOU A PUPPY WITH A MEDICAL CONDITION. WHAT KIND OF BREEDER SELLS ANY DOG WITH A KNOWN INJURY? A BAD ONE! SHE WILL OFFER TO GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND AND TAKE THE PUPPY BACK OFF YOUR HANDS AS A RESOLUTION. WHO WANTS TO GIVE BACK A PUPPY THEY'VE BROUGHT INTO THEIR HOME AND NOW LOVE. ESPECIALLY WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO GIVE THIS INNOCENT PUPPY BACK TO SOMEBODY WHO HAS A HISTORY OF HAVING PUPPIES DIE IN THEIR CARE? PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE IF YOU WANT A PUPPY, I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING OUT OF THIS MESSAGE OTHER THAN TO POSSIBLY STOP ANOTHER UNSUSPECTING BUYER FROM DEALING WITH THIS LADY AND HER PUPPY MILL"
Do your research. Contact The Florida Department of Agriculture and find any complaints. Go to her kennel before you mail her money. You will not get your deposit back and you will have to fight to get any other money back from her after she tells you your pick puppy has died. Go visit other kennels that breed Catahoula Bulldogs and compare so that you can make a good decision that you will be happy with in the end.

Ok, first of all, I have known Sherri for YEARS. Her dogs are healthy, happy, and loved. Just because you are angry over a pup with a hernia (that you ASSUMED was genetic) you shouldn't be slandering Sherri like this! She paid you back for the puppy that you kept! Now does that sound like a dishonest breeder?! Sherri's breeding program is FAR from a puppy mill, and your comments about Daniffs and training hunting dogs prove just how uneducated you really are. Of course you have to TRAIN a dog to hunt. Dogs aren't born magically knowing how to hunt! Even Coonhounds and Foxhounds have to be trained to hunt! The amazing thing is when you called the Department of Agriculture, they came, inspected her kennel and found NO issues! What you have written here is slander. If I were you I'd be worried, because all Sherri needs is a good lawyer and you are SCREWED! These are blatant lies. I would buy ANY of Sherri's dogs in a heartbeat, and anyone who has any questions about Sherri's program is WELCOME to contact me! Sites like this that allow unfounded complaints are what's wrong with the internet. Anyone who wants to can post any unfounded 'complaint' with offering NO proof. Where is the proof that those puppies are sick? I know Sherri's vet, and I know that office would NEVER allow sick puppies to have a health certificate!

I guess Sherri lied to you. She absolutely did not refund my money. I have $1050.00 invested in him and all she did was send me $100 in hopes I would not take her to court. This is by far slandering. This is stating true facts. Unlike what you just posted. I hate that Sherri has brainwashed people like you into believing that she actually refunded my money. She didn't give me registration papers or a contract or lifetime breeder support I was promised so I did the only thing I could. Post a complaint on a complaint board to warn other potential customers. I'm assuming you purchased a dog from her and have been to her kennel and seen it in person since you wrote this? I'm glad you had a good experience dealing with Sherri. I just wish my experience had been the same way. Do you feel its right for a breeder to sell dogs knowing they will need surgery? Do you feel it's rigt to take $750 from someone b/c you told them they would get a healthy puppy with papers and a contract and give them a puppy with worms, a hernia, no papers, no contract, & treat them horribly? I would hope that your answer is NO. You are defending someone that has done just that to many people.

I have proof. I have the health certificate her vet signed the exact same day I picked my puppy up. I also have videos with the date attached of my puppy with a hernia and full of worms. He had 4 different types of worms for weeks. I have proof. I am happy to forward it to you. That proof is the only reason Sherri mailed me $100 to pay for 1/3 of the hernia repair.
