I went to Mi service center to get my phone repaired but they charged for the service when the the device was still in the warranty period. Also they said the phone is completely dead and can't be repaired. Also they said in case, if I want to get it done it will cost Rs.5000/-. It was literally out of my budget so I came back but I gave my phone to a local mobile mechanic and he repaired it just for Rs.400/- and it's been 15 days I am using it. No complaints and it is running smoothly.

My point is they are charging money for nothing and also misguiding the customers and swindling them.

I went to Mi service center on 3rd of Sept. as my phone went completely dead because some water went inside the mother board of the device. My phone was/is (still) in the warranty period but at the center they charged money just to check what is the problem i the device. Firstly, how can they charge money only for opening the back cover of the device and that too when it was/is still in the warranty period. After their (so called) inspection they gave the phone back to me and said it completely dead, it cannot be repaired, suggesting me to get new phone. And also they said, in case I want to get it repaired it will cost Rs.5000/-.

I came back home as I thought it is out of budget to get it repaired but at nearby local mobile center I gave my phone to a mechanic and asked if he could do something about it. That mechanic repaired my phone like it is a new one. It is been almost 15 days and the phone is running smoothly.

My only point here is the amount which the service center charged me without actually doing nothing.

So I want to complain against the company as they are charging service costs even the device is still in the warranty or guaranty period.
