Because of an email response received from Xoom, I called the telephone number 800-935-7154 to find out the reason for two cancelled transaction last evening and contacted a representative named Rafael. After verifying transaction, my identity, email, and address, Rafael proceeded to ask more questions that, according to him, were to find out the reason for the cancellation. The questions were how the recipient was related to me, and why I was sending money to him. At that point I found the questions very invasive and decided not to continue, so I stopped the conversation. In fact, I'm still wondering why Xoom needs to know how I use my money for and who I share it with, and I considered this a violation of privacy. The representative refused to help if I wasn't able to provide the information required so I still don't have a clue about the cancellations.

I've been a customer of Xoom for years (even more of PayPal) and I've sent money to this recipient and other from my family circle many times in the past. Then, I decided not to use Xoom anymore. I will also share my thoughts with family, friends, and co-workers.
