Re: No smell from candles - The description of the candles drew me to buy. On lighting candles was expecting delicious smell as advertised but noting just a mild wax burning smell.I am really disappointed and will not be buying any Yankee Candles again.I have also previously bought a Lemon Votive set and there was no smell from these either. However at Christmas I did purchase a Christmas selection which did smell as advertised..Is there a production fault. I have read reviews that say No Smell from Yankee Candle. The Yankees I ave purchased last year did smell - Vanilla Lime Baby Powder Lavender - The candles I recently purchased seemed very pale in colour also and no smell

bought candles as christmas presents and also some for myself, the candles had no smell and they were giving off black smoke and the glass of the jaw was black, left a black mark on the wall, the flame from the wick was far to big, i have use these candles for years and i loved them never had a problem up until these ones at christmas, i bought a new one just last week and this one is exactly the same, i am not happy with thee at all lately and for the price this should not be happening.

You are supposed to clip the wick, and not set the candle next to a wall. You got the black from the wick being too long. Someone who used this for years would know this.

wtlf is right. Keep the wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch.
