Airline Reservations

We booked the Greece and Her Islands tour – departing June 19, 2019. Lily Gomez was our sales rep. I wasn’t sure about paying $1240 for the airfare, but she assured me that I would be notified ahead of time what YMT air reservations would be so I could decide to accept or make my own reservations.

I never received any information – instead YMT booked our air without advising us. We are now stuck with a change of planes on the way there. Yet our trip back is nonstop. Why weren’t we booked nonstop going there? And why weren’t we notified beforehand so I could make my own air reservations. I would never have accepted a change of planes. And I could have gotten a cheaper fare with Emirates airlines.

This is totally unacceptable. I want an accounting of what YMT paid for our airfare and a refund for the difference. I am certain YMT didn’t have to pay $1240 for a flight with a stopover and changing planes.
We have booked 4 tours with YMT and expected better.

I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and USTOA unless this is resolved ASAP.

SEVERAL

Have travelled with YMT Vacations several times and have been very pleased. Recently we went on the Danube River Cruise on A Rosa Donna, very pleased with ship , tour director and cities visited. May 5 to May 16, 2019

Our complaints are: The welcome dinner in Munich, we were very surprised that we had to pay for all drinks, even coffee. Feringapark Hotel. We got to hotel from airport at 8am after a long flight. Reception told us to get breakfast , we served ourselves and then told us that day was not included, we left and had breakfast across the street. Also we had bought a City Tour and found out that morning that YMT had a tour to the city twice that day INCLUDED. Too late we had paid for a tour.
The hotel in Rothenburg May 14 was the worst hotel we have stayed in our lives, a 0 star hotel. I heard there was a new building and the people that stayed there were pleased..

Hope next time the hotels etc are better; the tour director was very good and all places visited also. Will use YMT again. These are just constructive complains.

not beingable to get ahold of company

I waited on hold for two hours today all that I received was our operators are busy . YMT need to get more operators I needed to get ahold of them to confirm my reservation . I am going to Italy next month I need to now what the weather is like what to bring, what not to being confirmation of my payments and lientery . My travel consultant I tammy my reservation is 141355 my e mail is [email protected] . please get a hold of me by e-mail this getting to be joke if the is how you treat you guests I will never travel with company again .

Tour Cancelled no Refund

We had an optional tour in Whistler for a gondola Ride that was cancelled due to a lightning strike disabling the gondola. YMT tour leader promised a refund but YMT wouldn't refund. I had to put a dispute on my charge card. They use some of the worst hotels with no restaurants near by. They stop at places with one bathroom for 50 people on a bus, ridiculous.

Autum Leaves Tour

My sister -in -law and I went on tour and we had more than one bad experience. We had white people taking our picture while we ate. Qnce we went to a hotel and we didnt have a room because someone had smoked in it and we spent most of our night in the lobby sitting on the sofa. When we got to Marthas vineyard the guide told us we could not go because they were booked. I felt left out or discriminated against. I have traveled with YMT before but this trip was the worst. The guide was the worst and I was not pleased with her at all
