childish music - 70's

Good God, STINGRAY SUCKS. I'm looking for good solid 70's music and they keep playing CRAP. Leo Sayer, Chuck Barrie - Ding A Ling, Convoy. Candy music and offbeat garbage that just has no connection what so ever.

The music picker on this channel must be 12 or 112...not sure which.

Who ever own this music service before was awesome. Now that it is STINGRAY, I wanna puke.

TO THE TIES TO RUN THIS SERVICE.....I'M OUT. AND I PLAN ON TELLING ABOUT 10,000 OTHERS THE SAME THING ON MY SOCIAL MEDIA SITES.


STINGRAY SUCKS......SUCKS.

"Holiday Hits" on Stingray

The "Holiday Hits" music station on Stingray does not play the traditional patriotic music during the 4th of July season. The "Sounds of the Season" music station on Music Choice is much better. Stingray should add a music station that is similar to "Sounds of the Season"

Bring Back Music Choice and Ditch Stingray!

I like to listen to music while I’m previewing the upcoming shows. Unfortunately, after you go into the channel guide and begin previewing, at the end of whatever music is currently playing, the channel goes completely mute and will not come back on unless you jump through the ridiculously long hoops waiting for the channel to re-load. And it is irritatingly slow! It used to be so easy to just click on a music channel and it would start like any other channel - instantly. Those days are gone! Also, I deliberately leave music on during the day, but when I come home (even after only a couple of hours), the connection has been lost and I have a blank screen and dead silence. I also like to listen to music during commercials or when I’m on the phone. Stingray is so slow that this really isn’t an option. There is very little positive to say about it.

BTW, since I’m griping, I’d sure like to see the Hallmark channel back on Uverse! But I guess that option is also gone forever! :(

Stingray Music is bad music

Stingray is terrible. Terrible selection, slow to load, loses connection often. Old channels were fabulous! The Stingray Spa channel is no more spa music than fly to the moon. Please go back.

Stingray.

Even though I have been a U300 subscriber for years, Music Choice is what I used to tune in to the most. I was unpleasantly surprised a few months ago when MC was no longer available. I decided to give Stingray a try, and I hate it. Horrible selection of performers and songs! I will wait for a couple of months and, if MC is not back, you will be losing me as a subscriber.

This MUSIC STINGRAY THAT AT AND T HAS SWITCHED OVER TO COMPLETELY SUCKS!!!! I USED TO LISTEN TO MUSIC ALL THE TIME ITS A HUGE PART OF ME HAVING CABLE. THE SONGS THAT STINGRAY PLAYS ARE SONGS THAT HAVE NEVER EVER EVER BEEN HERD OF BEFORE NOT POPULAR SONGS AT ALL!!! THE 80S IS WHAT I USED TO LISTEN TO MAINLY AND THE MUSIC THEY HAVE ON THERE IS HORRIBLE SONGS THAT ARE HORRIBLE AND HAVE NEVER BEEN HEARD BEFORE.
I AM SWITCHING AWAY FROM AT &T IF THEY DO NOT SWITCH BACK OR AWAY FROM STINGRAY

Stingray music

Stingray music is absolute trash. My family and I really enjoyed using Music Choice on our TVs since it launched in 2011. Stingray music has less music genres, as well as the songs that they play are old or unknown. Stingray music is slow, weird to navigate around, and the layout of it is simply UGLY. Also not all videos are on Stingray music, like with Music Choice. RIDICULOUS! BRING MUSIC CHOICE BACK ATT! ANGRY UVERSE SUBSCRIBER.

horrible music on Stingray music

I am so outraged about ATT changing our great Music Choice to Stingray!!! There is not very much good to say about a variety of the channels! the Easy Listening is so far off from Easy listening that I get very exasperated.....mostly Plinkety Plink piano sounds that are anything but easy to listen to!!!! Music Choice had such nice music! And we have to pay an exorbitant price for ATT, then they take away the things we got ATT for to begin with! Not only is the music horrible, it takes several clicks to get it to play or change channels!!! The Spa music is just more Piano plinkety plink and anything but soft Spa relaxing music!!! WHO DID THIS TO US, YOUR LOYAL SUBSCRIBERS???? CHANGE OUR MUSIC CHANNEL BACK TO WHAT WE HAD AND LOVED!!!! yOU ARE GOING TO LOSE MANY SUBSCRIBERS BECAUSE OF THIS!!! VERY ANGRY IN PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS

ATT u verse

The reception for my TV is WORSE than Dish or DirectTv. I started it last June because I would lose reception from satellite TV whenever there was any bad weather. I wanted reception especially if tornadoes were possible. I was assured from ATT that since it was digital my reception would be perfect. No matter what the weather was. I had them over 9 times the first 3 weeks. I was continually getting digitizing, pixels and freezes. Even when thenweather was good. When the weather wasn't (even with a light rain or just clouds) the reception was almost non-existent. Right now, a storm just passes and every 3-5 seconds, the screen would digitize, pixelize and freeze for a few second to just completely freezing. I would call the help line and they would say, everything looks good from this end. Maybe they should come,to my end...oh wait, they have...and couldn't figure out why. My contract ends this coming month. So will be being a customer . Anyone who asks me about ATT u verse I tell them to stay away. They don't know what they're doing and quite frankly could care less.

Misrepresenting

I was offered an upgrade to computer speed because my signal would drop out. I discussed this with family employees and was assured that could not happen as I am a thousand feet past equipment limits and ATT has no plans for upgrades to equipment. I was offered a good deal on dish signal for TV. I explained a tech had been to my home twice, old neighborhood, tall trees, no signals. The agent explained newer equipment and is possible. Again, it cannot. After all this, a "disconnect " notice was inserted on my home phone and took an hour on a phone at another location for a resolution. This has been poorly handled, indicates a complete lack of training. My experience with this has been terrible. I am completely dissatisfied with this experience and ATT.

Stingray

I guess I'll weigh in along with others on this blog. I am not liking the Stingray music at all. I am a jazz lover and I am hard-put to find anything that resembles decent jazz on any of the jazz channels. I've switched among all of them and found nothing that satisfies. I notice, for instance, that there are only a limited number of vocalists and obviously they are repeated often. There are some wonderful big band groups from the jazz standards era but I hear none of them. My husband and I resort to Pandora, New York Jazz - internet radio, WBGO radio from NY and a few others that we found for authentic jazz and a wide variety of really good jazz artists. MC was better, although not of the caliber of the sources I mention here. But I was able to use the station for cocktail parties with friends at our home. It was convenient and enjoyable to everyone. I am back to pulling out my collection of cd's to get jazz music that satisfies.

StingRay

I'm so disappointed with StingRay having to hit OK three times to get it to play. Not only that it periodically stops playing. The other day I had to reset the receiver to get it to play.
I would like to just switch channels from a remote and have music to play. What an inconvenience when siting on my patio or in the swimming pool.

Hate Stingray

Prior to Stingray you could just turn on the channel and listen to music, nice since I am already paying huge money to AT&T and it should be that way. Now Stingray imbeds commercials and keeps stopping so I am switching to my phone for music using a Bluetooth speaker. Another monopoly gets even greedier. If I ran my business that way I would be ashamed.

Stingray

In the last two days Stingray starts to play a song and after about 5 seconds it switches to another song.
What's wrong and how can it be corrected?

Stingray Music Channel

I love to listen to music when I'm not watching TV. It used to be so easy to just click on a music channel and it would pop up instantly. Now I have to go through maneuvers that would make a tech professor scratch his head! Then when I finally get to the station that I think I want, the songs are just horrible. So now I want to find another music channel which, again, takes me the longest time to connect. Now I'm tired of trying to find a music station I can enjoy, like the 40's or big band, etc. and can't, so I have to press this little button on my remote to get back to the t.v. channels. What a mess. Don't try to fix something that isn't broken! Put MC back. Obviously, you have very many unhappy customers ! ! !

Stingray stinks, wont use it

Hate Stingray, want MC back. Won't listen to Stingray. Need old songs like on MC, not vocals, and with peaceful nature pictures, NOT WOMEN IN BIKINIS, OR GOWNS WITH BREASTS HANGING OUT...Have to listen with husband gawking at your pornography. Please get MC back with beautiful nature instead of album covers, and recognizable songs. Will you listen to all of us, and those who won't bother to write...probably not because some big-wig wants Stingray. It's a lower class system.

STINGRAY MUSIC CHANNELS

I would first just like to start off saying YOUR SERVICE IS PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND VERY EFFICIENT IN MY AREA. My complaint is about your StingRay music channels. Beyond horrible...totally totally totally horrible. Please bring back Music Choice!!!!! StingRay is so horrible that I cannot even bear to listen to it...and I used to switch between about four or five music channels and was extremely happy with Music Choice.

I HATE the stingray music! Is there a way to switch back to MC?!
The weekly tests... I understand doing them once a week but that's not the case.
There are many times I'm watching tv and the test will come one 2-3 back to back
Or it will just come on many times a day almost everyday.

Stingray Music

The Uverse switch to Stingray music is TERRIBLE!!!!! Switch back to MC or I will leave ATT.

I know ALL of the 80's songs and listen to 80's every day. I listened to Stingray Remember the 80's channel for 1 hour and knew 1 songs. I guess its called REMEMBER the 80's because the songs they play NOBODY does. Stingray sucks! really, really bad. I hope everyone else posts the same, so ATT switch backl to the industry leader Music Choice.

Do not sign up for Uverse if you want to listen to ANY genre of music because the internet is exploding with the same comments for the other channels.

Weekly Emergency Tests

I understand that it's a requirement to broadcast the Emergency Weekly Tests of networks. My complaint is that we have had multiple tests every day for the past week on U-verse! I live in Mississippi and I am getting the interruptions and loud beeping for Arkansas alerts as well as for my own area. One a day is sufficient for any tests, but multiple times daily for a week?

My other complaint about the system is that I get weather alerts for areas hundreds of miles from the area I live. I would like to have my weather alerts for my area, not somewhere that does not affect me in the least! Can't U-verse do something to correct these things?

ATT U-verse

Recently I was a customer of Buckeye Cablesystem, subscribing to their "bundle" which included wi-fi, phone, and television cable. I did not have a DVR box, and only one TV box. This year Buckeye raised their rates for existing customers and the bill was approaching $200 a month. As I don't watch TV much, but mostly stream movies and television, I was getting angry and annoyed, especially when the wireless speed started slowing down.

So I bought the ATT U-verse claims and switched. I waited almost 3 weeks for installation, but when the technician came a week ago his work was exemplary. However, there were some discrepancies between what the sales people told me and what the technician told me. One glaring problem is the transporting of our phone number from Buckeye to Uverse. The technician told me that Buckeye was very reluctant to release numbers and it could be a week or 10 days before switching. After the installation was complete I gathered the Buckeye equipment and went to the Cablesystem office near me. I turned in the equipment, closed our account, and asked that our phone number be released. The clerk there told me the number was released, the day the ATT equipment was installed. I called ATT customer service and told them the number was released, but whomever I talked to said that the number wouldn't show up in the system yet and I should call later.

I have enjoyed getting to know the television service, although I notice there are a large number of channels that are only infomercials. I have used the free on-demand service to watch TV shows I've missed, but not really used the DVR much. I also like the more reliable speed on the wi-fi, and greater signal strength from one end of the house to another.

However, I am very disappointed in the phone. Not the service, but that our old phone number has not been connected to the system. We were assigned a number by ATT upon installation, and I notified several of our friends and family by email about the temporary change. However, after one week, we still do not have our phone number back.

Yesterday afternoon I spent 2 hours on the phone and internet trying to get this situation changed. The first person I talked to said that a work order had to be written by sales to have the number switched. He tried to connect me to someone who could do this, but the call was dropped. After my frustration level reached the boiling point, I finally worked through the insane telephone tree and talked to a real person I could understand. I registered my anger with her, as well as my problem. She calmly responded to my problems and attempted to make the switch then. However, the best she could do was to say the change would take place in another 8 days!

I want to know the following:

1. Is it really so hard to get Buckeye to release phone numbers? It doesn't seem so.
2. Why can't ATT take care of this without my having to intervene? Why wasn't the number changed after my call last week? Why did I have to call back to initiate the process again?
3. Why does it take so long to have this seemingly simple switch made?

And two others:
4. Why does a communication company have so much trouble communicating and getting their story straight? It seems that every person I spoke to was making it up as they went along.
5. Why does a communication company put a caller on hold and then play some awful distorted screeching music that blasts the ear drums?

small business/phones

If anyone on this board wants to do themselves a favor stay AWAY from anything that has ATT in it's name. This companies customer service is awful the representatives talk like they just leaned to speak English, and I'm refering to the ones based in the U.S. Small business personal are the joke of jokes-stupid, incompetent you can explain something to them in the most basic language and at the end of the call they are still clueless. I was lied to numerous times I think less out of malice and more out of sheer stupidity. If anyone considering using them for business service wants to save hours of frustration I would suggest going with one of the smaller companies like ring central or a cable company like compast for phone service.
