Christmas mivies
I can not understand how you can start showing Christmas movies November 1st! I have seen most of them and will be sick of it long before Christmas. I love Murder, She wrote, Matlock, Perry Mason, etc. I found a few on the other Halmark channel but have moved to other channels. I may watch a few if there are new ones but not until at least December 1st.

24/7 Holiday Movies
Every year it amazes me that YOU "THE HALLMARK" channel refuse to listen to your viewers: WE DO NOT WANT TO WATCH 24/7 Holiday movies. Too much already. My mother has Alzheimer's and she loves I Love Lucy, Golden Girls, Murder She wrote, Diagnosis Murder, PERRY MASON.... All the good old shows of the past you know the stuff that made the Hallmark Channel desirable. Please Stop this ridiculous practice. From reading the post here we all hate the endless horrible acting movies that play over and over and over. That gay channel shows the Golden Girls but then you gotta deal with their over the top commercials. sometimes TV Land will show Golden Girls but that is why I pay all this $$$ for the package that has Hallmark. READ THE POST WE DO NOT WISH TO WATCH 24/7 Hallmark movies. YUCK

Wondering bout you
I just wanted to know why some older Christmas movies aren't shown but after reading the complaints above I am not complaining. And I love the early Christmas shows, I'm alone now and they are so comforting, and there is plenty of diversity. I don't want to watch Christmas movies all gay people. They have a channel let them put them on there also all black ,they too have their own channels. I am only one person but I appreciate hallmark just like you are thank you for helping people like myself to get thru holidays!!!

ehnic diversity
Dear Hallmark I enjoy watching Christmas movies, but it saddened me to notice that that there is still no diversity in your Christmas movies. It appears to viewers that the only people that celebrate Christmas are white. Hallmark its time to move towards more inclusive images of people in this country.

Reiterate: No Diversity
To reiterate what others have posted, I too agree that the endless holiday movies are void of ethnicity diversity. To be honest, there is very little diversity in any of the movies, which is not limited to the plethora of holiday movies bestowed upon the viewers much to soon and definitely too long.
Hallmark used to have some depth and creativity, however, the recent trend has been to loose the depth and creativity only to add the ongoing bout of predictability. I can predict the ending just by the tile. How interesting is that?
You actually have a good lineup of sitcoms. There are some I could without, however, not so much to where they are unwatchable. It's the movies that are bringing down the station, then throw in the mind numbing, endless and too soon, all to predictable holiday movies that have me viewing Hallmark less and less, and not at all during the holidays.
It would be nice if you would consider the viewpoints of your viewers. I guess only time will tell.

hallmark chritmas movies
Too early for Christmas movies, showing the same ones over & over. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas movies but not so' many, for this length of time. Another thing, why are there no black Christmas movies, Latino movies or any other ethnic group? We all love Christmas and would love to see more ethnicity. And as someone said in another complaint, stop showing so many lonely women looking for marriage.

Xmas movies
Way too early for these seasonal movies. Too much too soon. Deleted Halmark channel from my line up. Give us a break! Do you ever listen to your viewers?

Too much, Too soon!!
I really love the Hallmark channel. I watch it everyday. I also enjoy the Christmas movies but I feel it is way too early and too much. I will truly miss Little House and The Waltons. Couldn't Hallmark still show the regular shows and show some movies in the evening? What about all the holiday episodes of the Waltons and Little House?? Couldn't you incorporate them into the program? There are so many wonderful episodes. It is just way too much Xmas movies 24/7 for two months!! I've been a faithful watcher, but will not be tuning in nearly as much. Many of my friends feel the same. It is too long to go without our regular programming. Please think about changing this. So many of us are so disappointed!!! Thank you, Stephanie

Christmas too early and too much
Christmas movies in October?? Really??? No wonder we live in such an anxious society--we are unable to enjoy the moment, let alone the month. We cannot simply enjoy a cute little Halloween, and then the gradual turning of November with perhaps some harvest themes, and then enjoy Thanksgiving before we are jumping ahead to Christmas? Honestly, it is the worst example of a commercialized Christmas EVER. Some kind of message for a "traditional values" channel to send!! Well, I'm off to find something else to substitute for the shows we love, especially I Love Lucy and The Middle. And perhaps if I find something good enough, I won't bother to re-visit Hallmark in January.

closed captioning
The closed captioning on the Hallmark Movie/Mystery channel is quite lousy. The captioning on the newer movies/mysteries is quite late--many seconds after it has been spoken. The captioning should coincide with the spoken word and not 'livestreamed' like news programs. Thanks.

What has happened to quality at Hallmark?
First if all, showing back-to-back Christmas movies 24/7, beginning on October 30th is really a bit much.
However, if you continue to run the inane movies presently being made, by Hallmark, I will pass on them, even when aired at Christmas.
My family and I watched the Hallmark Hall of Fame for years, and there was a time when Hallmark hired real writers, and produced excellent, quality movies; Holiday programming and continuing sagas.
However, when Hallmark was taken over by the present Media company, lo, how the mighty have fallen.
Every movie now made by Hallmark has the same, tedious formula of 20 or 30 something women trying to get married, and have babies in EVERY situation possible, in every era, possible. The "plot", if I should be so generous, is ALWAYS the same, with marriage, in one way or another, as the result. Since when did Christmas become conflated with women just wanting to get married?
As the Holidays approach, I suggest that Hallmark attempt to think outside the envelope, and realize that good films are not turned out as simply, and as quickly as Hallmark seems to think they are.
So, forget about repeating the few dozen, really awful drivel which you continue to mass produce, over and over, day in and day out, and start showing more than just one evening a week of classic Christmas movies such as The Gathering; The House without a Christmas Tree; The Christmas Wife; I'll Be Home For Christmas; the Homecoming; Silent Night, Lonely Night; A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott; Christmas Eve w/ Loretta Young, and on and on.
At least if you give your audience a chance to see the Hallmark of old, you might not have to work so hard to turn out drivel, and perhaps you could consider hiring talented writers to create quality, beloved Holiday fare.

Christmas Movies
NO ONE wants to see two whole months of corny holiday movies! Why is this even necessary? No Golden Girls or I Love Lucy or Little House or Waltons for two months??? That sux! And I also concur with others...where's the diversity?!?!?

Christmas Movies TOO Early
For the life of me, I can't understand why you continue to start Christmas movies in October. It's too early. Tonight, Friday, October 30, will start my boycott of Hallmark channel. I'm seriously considering not returning in January.
Obviously you have little regard for your viewers or you would at least consider a compromise. Movies on the weekends; start the movies after Thanksgivings. Didn't we just suffer through Christmas in July?
What is the reason for such nonsense?
Sure to be a lost viewer!

Christmas movie season too long
I think Christmas movies should start after Thanksgiving. One month is enough.....maybe too much if they will be on 24 hours a day.
Please do not discontinue "I Love Lucy" during the 2 months of Christmas. It is on early and too early for watching movies anyway.
During your 2 months of Christmas, I wish you would have some regular movies mixed in so I could record them and watch them
the following week.
Thank you for your consideration.

Scroll up captioning
I enjoy watching movies on HMM. As a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the captioning went to scroll up for most of the movies, including Columbo.
I taped the premier of Beverly Lewis "The Reckoning", which was in pop-up lower case style. Then, later that week, I noticed that it went to scroll-up. I then noticed that Columbo is now in scroll-up.
Why is this the case? We do NOT like the scroll-up. This is only for LIVE programming. With the scroll-up, the timing is off and the name of the speaker is not determined.
Please, I beg of you, bring it back to scroll-up.

Christmas movies
Every morning I watch I Love Lucy, The Middle and Golden Girls. I'm not a movie person, so I never watch any of your movies. I hate you showing two months of Christmas movies. You could still show I Love Lucy and then go to your movies. We can watch The Middle and the Golden Girls on other networks. Hallmark is the only station we can watch Lucy on.
Please don't take Lucy off for 2 months!!!

Hallmark Starting Christmas Movies Too Early
The Hallmark Channel has been starting Christmas movies at an extremely early date. They are starting them right before November as of recent, or at the start of it. I am fed up with them starting Christmas so early. In my family, and quite a lot of others, we started preparing for Christmas after Thanksgiving. With Hallmark, they're starting it after Halloween. Is this the way to start Christmas? I honestly think not. If they could start their line of Christmas movies after Thanksgiving is over, I would be a lot happier.
Thanks to anyone who shares my concern.
Yours Truly,
Michael C. Hart

We receive hallmark on dish. We were watching harvest fire and right at the climax it just shuts off. Now can't find it again in the guide or hallmark online.

realiam if IA, farming in Autum Dreams
I recently watched Autumn Dreams--cute movie, but farm facts all wrong. We do not farm to make a quota. That is merchandising. We deal in yiels and are income deals with marketing over time. The corn was green. Not ready for harvest. We combine. That so called corn coming out of that harvester didn't look like corn at all. Most farmers combine corn. This shells it. Even seed corn is dried and should be a golden yellow. We Ia farmers are not a bunch of hicks. Most have years of experience and keep abreast of technology. Many have college degrees. We not only feed the nation but the world. Please do your research when portraying different forms of lifestyles. Thank you

Sound quality
Why does the sound on the Hallmark channels (131 & 508) sound like its coming through a barrel?
No other channels have this problem.
