Tax fraud

I am in the same scam. These people should be stopped from ever getting their hands on anymore tax refund checks. My refund was sent to these people without my permission. They lie, and they are thieves. You never get the same answer. They wanted me to void my check. But I got three different answers on how to do it. They need to just tell people there is no way to void a check and they never did send the check they are scammers and thieves. Everyone should get a class action lawsuit against these crooks

Santa Barbara tax product group

I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Santa Barbara tax product group. They are holding my tax refund check. I filed my refund through fee tax USA I never gave them permission to send my refund check to vista bank and vista bank sent my tax refund check to tax product group. They are liers thieves and I want them held accountable. I lost everything my home could not pay my bills all because they said they sent my refund check in the mail liers it does not take months to get anything in the mail I overdraft my bank
All of these companies should be held accountable for their actions. They should never get their hands on anymore tax refund checks. My refund check is almost thirteen thousand dollars. They are lying thieving crooks that should be stopped

Fraudulent withholding of my refund

On February 27th, the IRS deposited my money with the SBTPG in the amount of $32,838. As per all the other complaints, I've learned that they haven't paid it because of the bogus "unusually activity" and need to verify my identity. Nobody should EVER provide their SSN# and a copy of their drivers license over the web to an unkown third party!

I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and will be filing a lawsuit against them and Intuit, who is equally responsible for the actions of their chosen vendor (SBTPG) if others want, I can make this a class action suit. Happy to receive contact information for interested parties.

Same story as the rest of you they were holding over $65K for two months. I had to contact the Attorney General and BBB for some help but finally the email addresses were the best because they could not hide.

Tax Refund

So....My mother passed away during the process of filing her taxes. I contacted the IRS and they informed me that I needed to send in a copy of her death certificate and fill out the Form 1310 and everything will be processed and handled. July 6 rolls around and I received an email stating that the deposit is on its way. The DD was rejected for unknown reasons and sent back to whom I thought was the IRS but no..its the dreaded "Santa Barbara Tax Products Group"..Didn't think it would be this complicated since I've dealt with TaxTurbo with no complications for the last 4 years. They told me that the refund was on hold for verification..Sent in my DL and a copy of the death certificate.. First rep I talked to said that my DL and the certificate was ineligible (COMPLETE CRAP)..Second rep I talked to told me that they couldn't discuss anything with me until I verified..I sent them the information AGAIN and the same thing happened. Now I'm explaining to them that that money is needed to pay off all of her final debts that insurance didn't pay and that if the IRS processed and accepted everything that I had to send to them, why is there such a circus going on on TaxTurbo's end? After talking to several crappy reps, i requested them to send the money back to the IRS so they could issue a paper check..The rep told me that they'll email me a form to fill out to expedite the process of sending it back to the IRS...Days later, still NO form.. and on top of that, they've already taken out close to $200 worth of BS fees...Maybe even more now.. There's no fraud and no suspicious activity going on with this particular account but they're treating me like I'm some thief...This money is needed to pay off final debts but it shouldn't matter...Not only myself but others shouldn't even have to go through this crap of just wanting their hard earned money for whatever reasons. They're charging fees that are bogus and holding your money so they can keep collecting "interest fees" to fill their pockets..No buddy.. Not here!! NEVER will I deal with TaxTurbo any more..Their reps are crap..The banks they deal with are shady and the entire process is straight up wack!

my tax refund

my tax refund was put on hold by Santa Barbara Bank Group for verification. why when I have verified with turbo tax and the IRS with our drivers license information on our tax return. The IRS sent Santa Barbara my refund on the 21 st of june 2016. I sent Santa Barbara a picture of my husband drivers license front and back and still I have not received my refund. Now i am calling them back again tomorrow and turbo tax. Then i am reporting them to BBB and to the AG office and my lawyer. Who the hell do Santa Barbara think they are.

REFUND

To this day Santa Barbara Tax Products Group has not released my tax return!!!! They are a sham business and I am surprised that Turbo Tax would have business dealings with this company! My tax return was released by the IRS on Feb. 10th and for some unknown reason they refuse to release it to me or back to the IRS. I have used Turbo Tax for years but this year was my last since you have chosen to conduct business with this fraudulent company!!!! I have called, emailed, faxed and written letters and still no tax return!! Turbo Tax has really let me down!!!!!!
Anyone going through similar problems I would encourage you to contact the Attoney General's office for California or contact the news media

They've been holding my refund for MONTHS

Biggest bunch of crooks I've ever had to deal with. Refund sent out by IRS end of March, SBTPG gets it, says my bank rejected the DD, sent them first a fax of my driver's license, three weeks go by and nothing from them, call them back, they claim they never got the fax, took a smartphone pic of both front and back of driver's license in early May, and now here it is almost Memorial Day still nothing. How can these guys get away with this? I'm a blatant criminal act what they're doing to me and what they've done to many others based on this site and others. It's clear they're taking these refunds and putting them into interest-bearing accounts for themselves, making it next to impossible to get what rightfully yours, treating you like dirt. They should all be in jail. They need to be investigated, tried and sentenced. And all the interest they've collect needs to go back to the taxpayers. Will never use TurboTax again, and I've been a customer of theirs for a good decade-plus. Will be trying to reach them again tomorrow, wish me luck.

Horrible Service

First off I must say this is the more unprofessional and stupidest way to refund anyone's money. I was told to go to several different walmarts to try and obtain my refund which didn't work . Then I called to have them send me the paper check and was had to go through filling out a form and emailing which the claim they never received to update my address which was only missing an apt number after several calls and having to be irate I finally was able to speak to a lead that advised she was able to enter my apt number on the system now why couldn't they do this at first still to this day I'm waiting on my check which has been there since 3/22. Horrible experience and move by the IRS!!!

Cashiers check sbtpg

Check mailed out allegedly on March 17th because of "wrong account" number....had to verify ID. It is now March 30th still no check. BTW IRS sent refund Feb 23rd... Took me weeks just to find out where my money was... My Tax preparers had never used TT before...what a mess, and yea they took out $134 in fees

Santa Barbara Tax Group/ Turbotax

My complaint with SBTG or Turbotax is this: Last year I filed with turbotax and imputed my banking info without a glitch. My funds were deposited all was great. This year while filing I didn't change my banking information from the last year and suddenly a number from my account number mysteriously vanished. I called turbotax and they said "computers make mistakes" sounds like a human error to me (backspace) I call foul play and want to report both companies to the BBB.

I was told my account was so my account was put on hold due to verification I send them my ID and they told me will be 7 days for the new verify and then 7 more days for them to mail it out I'm not understanding why they holding people money hostage and for them to make address off of it which is not fair I think that IRS and the Better Business Bureau and etc should be able to shut these people down for this is an ongoing process that they're doing with people money and it doesn't make sense so I'm going to contact an attorney as well what if I can't get in contact with anyone at the corporate office I will be calling in the morning and see you can I get my money ASAP

red flagged

Filed my taxes through Taxslayer. The IRS approved & sent My refund to Santa Barbara Tax Products Group on February 9th. Today is March 3rd. Called the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group to find out why my refund hasn't been forwarded on to my bank account. They red flagged my account and demanded a fax copy of my W2, Driver License & SSN card to verify who I am. I'm 63, work for the Federal Government & have used Taxslayer for years with no problems. This is a scam to hold onto tax refunds to pad their bank assets in my opinion. If you want your rightful tax refund DO NOT pay with fee deductions taken by another bank. Use your credit card.

Turbo Tax/Santa Barbara Bank

I filed my taxes with Turbo Tax on January 21,2016. I received a response from the site and from the IRS almost immediately, that my info had been received and that I'd receive my taxes in 21 business days. The IRS website then notified me that my refund was transmitted to my bank with a window of February 10-15th for receipt. On the 16th I contacted the IRS who informed me that my refund was transmitted to a US Bank bank account, NOT my account, and told me to check with Turbo Tax. I was then given the runaround by Turbo Tax for over a week before someone gave me the info for The Santa Barbara Tax Product Group. On February 16th, I was instructed to upload my ID for their verification process, and that a check would be mailed to me after the 3 day processing period. I called back on the 22nd and was told the period had been extended to 7 days. At that point I asked to speak to a supervisor. After holding for 25 minutes more, a seemingly helpful person informed me that I should have been in the 3 day group and that I was being expedited. Today, 4 days later I called again as I have yet to receive a check, only to learn that NOTHING has been done. The best part; when I sternly informed them that I was reporting them to the BBB, the FCC and every social media outlet I am affiliated with, they informed me that they could no longer speak to me!!!! Lol!!!! This is a fraudulent scam!!! I checked with my bank and learned that Turbo Tax NEVER made an attempt to deposit my check. Like everyone else, I need my money. I'm filing a lawsuit today

Refund

I filed my taxes on the 29th of Jan. After filing I realized I put the wrong account #. After talking to TurboTax for days, someone finally gave me the # to Santa Barbara tax products. When I called them they told me I can put my account on hold and upload my and my husband's IDs for the validation/authentication process. They said it would take three business days. I uploaded mine on the 7th and uploaded my husband's on the 10th. Today is the 22nd, the 7th day and my account is still on hold. I've been calling everyday on hold for at least 30 min, and they keep telling me they sent an email to this person, or they're working on it. I'm starting to get real pissed because I need my money!!!!! They suck!!!!

Turbo tax

I did my return on 31st of January and its accepted my return the next day. The Santa barba tax place told me they got my refund on the 9th and it is now the 21st of February and I still don't have my return back. So I called the irs and told them my money wasn't deposited in my account by the 15th of February so I called on the 16th saying I never received my return so the irs put a trace on my taxes. So I then called Santa Barbra tax place and told them what the irs has did. They still went on saying they needed me to send my picture id of both myself and husband so they can release my money. So I did that. Now when I get on there website. It says they issued me a check just yesterday the 20th. This is a major scam. My bank never receive my refund like they said they sent it on the 10th and was rejected by my bank and I know for a fact they didn't even send the money. I talked with my bank on several occasions to see if it was in there. My bank said there was never even a attempt to put our money in there. This is a way they make more money and charge me more money for return process and then resubmit my money. This is bs. I will never use turbo tax again. We need to get a class action lawsuit against them

TurboTax

Im dealing with the same issues with this SBTGP these people have my tax return and state that are sending my refund back to the IRS due to them not being able to process it my routing number is correct these people have taken out the fees for TurboTax but didnt send me my return and talking to their CS people is like talking to a brick wall they dont understand and after talking to them you dont understand either I filed my taxes on the 1st of Feb it was approver on the 2nd of Feb and sent to these people on the 9th today is the 19th of Feb and I still dont have my money thaes people are talking about holding my refund for 15 business days before releasing it back to the IRS and thats even if they will do it then please someone help me have this happend to anyone and did you ever get your money Im look for a time frame.

Santa Barbara Tax Group

I am dealing with all of these issues now it has only been 3 days for me and after reading all of your stories I am totally horrified that I could have been so stupid to use Turbo Tax. I thought I was saving money this year boy was I totally wrong these scam artist have personally talked with my bank on a 3 way and my bank has clearly explained to them that they have not received any sort of error or rejected any checks that were sent to there system. I called several times to speak with the managers over Turbo Tax and the only thing that they have explained to me to do is comply with what they are asking me to do I spoke with a lawyer today and she explained to me that I needed to call the IRS it has been 3 days and I feel like I am in for a real ride after reading so many of your stories. Can someone let me know how long did it take to receive your check or should I just be calling the IRS?

i filed my taxes jan 2014 irs approved my return in feb 2014 I had some identity theft problems in a prior year which were all taken care of in the following months and was finally issue a check sept 2014 it was sent to santa Barbara tax products group whom somehow felt that I was not entitled to my return however they did not delay in taking their fees and the fees for turbo tax which would be theft if that was not my money to be paying them with???? they claim that 8 weeks later they returned my refund to irs I have called every office possible through irs and they have no record of it being returned. I have attempted o contact sbtpg several times and get the same response apparently there is only one single person I need to talk to that can help solve this matter and she however is never available and never returns calls why she has a voice mail is beyond me this company is a total disgrace I don't see how they are still in business.. michelle real [email protected]

Never received my refund

IRS issued me my refund sbtp claims they returned it to IRS however they never did but for some reason they kept their fees and turno taxes fees and they claim I shouldn't have gotten it for some reason then why did they keep the fees and why did I receive this year's refund when it is exactly the same as last years nothing has changed???

Santa Barbara Tax Product Group.

I was sent a letter from Calif.State Controller, Betty Yee's Office, regarding Unclaimed Property, a cashiers check, valued at over $100.00, that was being held by a business since 2011 and was going to be transferred to their Office 5-31-2015 if I didn't claim it. According to the State Controller, The SBTPG has been unable to locate me since 2011, thats funny, considering I have been in the same house for 17 years So I don't understand their difficulty. I made the Contact as advised and was sent a claim form and then I asked how much I was owed and they said $3,249.10, which made it necessary to have the form notarized then send it back to them. It could take anywhere from 30 to 90 days to process. I did what they asked and in 3 weeks a check came in the mail. I was impressed until I tried to cash it. I looked to see what bank it was drawn on as I do not have a bank account, I soon realized it didn't have a bank listed but it said for check verification to either call or look at their web page. So I looked up the web address under check cashing solutions. They gave the option to take the Check to Any Wells Fargo if you do not have an account they will charge a $10.00 fee for checks up to $9,500.00 (for the 2015 tax season) OR you can take the check in to any Walmart and get it cashed for $6.00. BOTH METHODS PROVED TO BE UNTRUE !!! The Manager at Wells Fargo says that they have never done what the website claimed, and not only did Walmart say they could not cash the check, but their check verification system couldn't even verify that the check was valid according to the numbers on the bottom. Then when I called the contact number listed on the check for verification, I got the automated system, that wouldn't verify its own check saying that the check amount is invalid. So here is what I am wondering.... How did they get my check from the IRS? Why couldn't they mail the original check, I still live at the address they had on file? Why is Our Government handing our money out to shady companies with bad business practices in the first place? I ended up paying 10% to a little Mom & Pop store, because it was the only place I found that would touch it

Received fraudulent check

I receiveed a cashier's check for $7,256.02 from Sunrise Bank saying they were unable to put the "tax refund" in my account becauseI had not sent them proper information. Any question should be taken up with Santa Barbara Tax Products Grouop.
This is nuts crazy!
!. I had no business with Sunrise Bank, Santa Barbara Tax Products, nor Turbo tax. EVER!
2. I had no refund coming. I paid.
3. The Sunrise check is not cashable.
4 BIG QUESTION: Why are they sending me a bad check for over $7,000? What can these phonies possibly be trying tto pull off?

IRS tax refund by turbo tax intuit/tax product group

Do not use turbo tax.This is a scam to hold your money to their advantage taking fees and making money off of your refund holding onto it as long as possible and not communicating the next process after they give you dates they will release it..When you call and want to know when your refund will be released they give you different dates and continue these holding process's .Warning to all tax payers never allow turbo tax product group to do your refund or allow them to deduct fees out of it.I have lost money from this as well as not being able to to put it in my bank to collect interest.This is a form of legalized theft and it is so wrong to stiel money from hard working tax payers.They are keeping it in there bank and make us beg them to release our own money.How sad and corrupt :(
