Hi There, In my area of Queensway/Stephen Drive in Etobicoke M8Y 1T7 there is a Shopppers Drug mart located at 125 The Queensway. I have been shopping here for about 5 years. The management and team of Customer service representatives back then in 2013/2014 were great. Amazing service was provided. The management team as well as every CSR has changed since 2017. The customer service reps they have representing Shoppers are very rude, huffing and puffing when you ask them any type of question. Telling me to go check the price on something( i wear glasses and cannot see prices). There is always a line-up of at least 10 people and only one cashier open at any given time. This is a very busy area condos, apartments, food terminal, businesses and they know this I know this and don't even work there. They are forcing customers ( old people especially) to use self check out machines. Which these seniors do not want to do. I do not want to use them either. They even have a sign saying to use it and one CSR imparticular will not serve someone. This CSR is miserable every time I go in there. No matter what day or time. The Manager was approached by my Boyfriend last weekend Saturday and asked why they always run out of Pepsi. The Manager replied we have it in the back but did not say he would go get some. The Manager does nothing there, walks around talks to young girl;s and ignores customers. The Pharmacy is even worse. One day they tell me I can pick up my daughter's prescription, the next they say I cannot. I have left messages for the Pharmacy Manager and never have received a call back. We are getting to the point where we have to tell CSR's how to do there jobs there. They do not like doing lottery. If no scratch cards are at their cash they will not get them from another cashier or even get them out when requested, says sorry we dont have any. I know better I know there in their drawers. What if I tell OLG this? will they pull the machine from this store. It is so badly run up there that I'm visting a shoppers out of my way just to avoid going there. I know other customers are frustrated by the sighs and talk I hear while in line-ups there. They rush people, they grunt. One CSR told me the price is on the shelf. I dont care if its on the shelf, I cannot see without glasses and if dont have them I want her to tell me the price, As well I want to make sure I get my points.... which is a whole other issue there. TI want to make sure its going through for the right price as well. I have worked in the Customer service field and this store does not do their job properly, everyone in it, so I assume it stems from management although the one CSr that has been there for a while as said before is miserable, I know at least 10 people that would do a better job. Pharmacist and Pharmacy Assistant Ethics

Dear Customer Service Department and Shopper Drug Mart Manager

I would like to put a serious complaint about the Pharmacist and her assistant in Shopper Drug Mart at 2345 Yonge St, Toronto, On

- Today at 10:35 am, I went to the store for help about my nose was bleeding that was wetting all tissue. I asked "please pharmacist, help" many times but she did not answer even not ask me to wait for a minute.
- I had gone back to the drop off section, to ask the pharmacy assistant to help or let me know what I should do to stop bleeding because the bleeding was wetted all tissue and keep going non-stop.
- She response I can't do anything, I just can give you a tissue. I asked again could you help me to see pharmacist or I should use any spray or Vaseline to stop the bleeding now, please?
- She looked at me and did not answer anything. I requested to see Pharmacist immediately again for helping. The assistant said yes but I saw her did not tell Pharmacist at all.
- I was waiting so long but no one came out to help while my nose bleeding a lot and so many customers saw that too. One old lady asked me to sit down because the blood came out a lot.
- I was still waiting again but no one came to see or help at all. I had to leave to look for another Pharmacy and Clinic for help.

I wished Pharmacist came to help or even suggested me to go to Hospital or anything I should do. But no one came even to look at it.
I am concerning about the professional ethics and human care for this career. Shopper Drug Mart is a good brand name and a good place to work however the pharmacy was not ethics and care patient like what they must obtain it in their license.

I would like the manager and customer service department help me to work on this complaint seriously.

poor service

i moved from Mississauga to Kitchenetr . in Kitchener shoper drugmart in sun rise plaza at Activa Rd kitchener very bad service .staff donot care any amergenacy .today my blood pressure high ,suger high specialist give me prescription .i am senior citizen .Pharmacy Assistant take my prescription and told we can fill your prescription till 4 clock .when i reached 4 pm to pick up .Other Assistant informed your medicine not ready that time pharmasist came he say to me wait out side for 15 mints your medicine will ready .after 15 mints again i demand my medicine pharmacy Assistant informed pharmasist job over .wait further one hour .what is this i am going to die and pharamcy staff making stories being i am muslim and my last name muhammad.
2 my son is diabetic type 1 when we take insuline from this shoper drugmart buble in it not working proprely because they pit insuline in room tempertre insted of fridge my name Nasira bano Muhammad .Address 363 mountain laurel crest kitchener

misbehave

I was standing in a line and the guy was serving a woman. as soon she finish he walk a way I kept waiting for while and no response
and my inquiry how long I have to wait he said have to ask me, he said that I don't know why you are standing there.
complete unprofessional behaviour.

when ask for manager they he is the owner. I am changing my pharmacy, is those are the people owing shoppers drug mart than I will rather go some where else.

Trolling their own FB page and rude .

I was told by the people who work in this store not to come in and use the testers . I was shocked they actually came up to me and said this. So I called the manager who never bothered calling back. Then I called head office who said this wasn't how we do business and everyone should be able to go into the store and use the products without having to purchase. NO, NO,NO that is not how this store works. After the girls in this store acting like spoiled high school children I called the owner and now I know why they act like spoiled children. The owner said they have been watching me go in and use their stuff and not pay. He actually said I go every single day which is just another lie they like to tell themselves so they can justify being assholes. Although he has NO IDEA of what I have purchased from his store his employees said I bought nothing ever. Gee my bills say I have.. But I wouldn't now ever buy anything from such a crappy bunch of people. This is a first for me ... So I put my complaint on FB and low and behold the complaint got trolled by 6 men.. Yup I said that right 6 men got on a women's beauty post and had to comment. I can't help but think now that this was actually the people from the store. So I replied to SHoppers on this and guess what? YES THEY WERE THE TROLLS ON THEIR OWN FB SITE! I guess they think if they act like assholes you will go away.. It worked well in that store why not FB.. Sadly Shoppers Drug Mart has gone to the dogs in all ways here.. They might not be able to fix stupid but I am glad no one ever goes into these stores anymore.. They really deserve that from the bottom of my heart.

SDM STORE#1464

We moved to Barrie, ON on October 15, 2016 & had all our Family Prescriptions/Family of 4 transferred from the SDM Angus, ON store. We had never experienced any problems/delays from the SDM Angus Store. In fact we experienced excellent customer service as we trust their judgement on all prescriptions. They think outside the box. The following is a list of problems we have had with this Store #1464 since transferring our files to them:

We went in person & gave all family info regarding our prescriptions. When we placed new repeats we were told they did not have them on files. We had to call SDM Angus several times to help them enter correct info & even correct Insurance policy numbers. We were told a number of times no prescription or no insurance coverage.

We have placed our repeats via telephone only to go for pic-up & they have no record of them or seems to have MISPLACED the completed order. This is for Metformin or Janumet as my husband is a DIABETIC.

On Tuesday Sept. 12/2017 my husband was given his FIRST prescription for High Blood Messure as he was hospitalised on Sunday Sept. 10th due to High/Dangerous Zone readings & complications associated with stroke like systems in Fort Erie, ON.
My husband is a US Truck Driver & was rushed to the Fort Erie Hospital by ambulance.
We went to our Family Dr.L. Manacki & he prescibed his first prescription of High Blood pressue meds + plus off work for 2 weeks.
We dropped my prescriptions for a pinched nerve & STEVE'S prescription for High Blood Pressure meds.@ 12:00 Noon. He told the pharmacy he would be back @ supper time to pick them up & to give time to fill them.
They did not tell us that they had no stock of the blood pressure meds etc.!!!!
Steve went back @ 6pm+ to pick up & the prescription was not filled & the Pharmacist said they ordered it & it would be in sometime tomorrow..All in a very calm not caring attitude VOICE!!
Steve was very upset as his blood pressure was still very high this AM & knew this was not acceptable..They did not call us to let us know they had no STOCK!!!
When Steve came back home w/no prescription only tomorrow for his meds I called the Pharmacist & discussed the serious of the situation and why they did not call us...She casually said the computer showed stock BUT WHEN
THEY WENT TO FILL IT THERE WAS NO STOCK SO THEY HAD TO ORDER!!!!!
I worked in a pharmacy for 3 years & know that when the store is out of stock they are able to call @ other stories to get some stock in especially in emergencies. I had to tell her what to do Plus she calmly said the Doctor had not written any remarks as it was a emergency!!!!He didn't as Steve told then about the ambulance & hospital trip & how high is blood pressure @ Doctor's appointment @ 11:30 am...He left the SDM with no meds or any calls to other stories for this medication!!!
After I told HER she could request the pills from another store..she called & called us back & Steve had to drive to another SDM in Barrie, ON to pick them up & wait anther 1/2 hour.
On Wednesday due to the stress/anxiety Steve was suffering with I called Dr. L. Manack's office & reordered some lorazepam from over a year ago & he forwarded the ok to SDM#1464 in the morning. I called SDM#1464 @ supper time & he said they were ready for pick-up!
Steve went to pickup the meds & the Pharmacist couldn't find the order & in fact Steve had to point to a tray that seems to always be by their computers & yes it was there!!!
The pharmacist then proceeded to go over the details of the medication with him BUT Steve could not understand one word he said as he spoke too fast /mumbled etc.
As to the above situation especially when dealing with Diabetes & HighBlood pressure medications which are life saving...Don't you think/agree that someone/Pharmacist/Owner take responsibility for this unprofessional behaviour?
If it has happened to us I'm very sure it has happened to others customers & will continue as they don't seem to care or do their job in a professional matter!
Give us one reason why in the next few days we do not need to transfer our Prescriptions to the Pharma Save @ Mapleview & Essa!

Incompetent compounding pharmacy employee

The pharmacist called me and left a message about the price of the medication asking if I still want to fill the prescription despite the 81$ price tag, another phone call from an employee leaving the same message two days after, I eventually called them back. The employee had a prescription with 2 medications to refill - first one was Retin A and second one a compound.. she spent 30 mins with me over the phone discussing the size of the compound and its price while all the time referring to the price of Retina A.

I was wondering about what could be the reasons Shoppers is recruiting unprofessional and incompetent staff especially in the Pharmacy dept-

Pharmacy Fairview Drive

I am so indescribably sick of the staff at this pharmacy. I have a prescription for painkillers, and apparently that makes me a drug seeking dirtbag. Occasionally my doctor releases my rx early or adds extra doses. This pharmacy gives me a hard time every damn time. I will talk to my doctors office, confirm that the rx is being sent, then go to the shoppers only to be rudely informed that I'm "early" and can't have them. They make no sense. My doctor has to fax them sometimes 3x in one day to get it through their fat heads that I'm entitled to it. They argue endlessly every time. They have a massive God complex. I hate this pharmacy and am switching to Rexall.

Useless return Policy

Bought Jamieson Vit B pills from SDM because it was on sale. Was planning on using it when old bottle ran out. The bottle i bought was opened about a month after the 30 day return policy expired. It had an expiry of 1 year left. When bottle was opened the pills were off color and had specks all over the pills. I wanted a replacement for them, not a refund.
Spoke to the manager about the tainted product and he said it was past the return date and could not be exchanged. i told him the expiry was still withing the time allotted. After having an argument about SDM selling a tainted product, the manager suggested i return it to the manufacturer. I said i bought it here and that they should return it to the manufacturer. He finally gave into my demands and told me he would never give us a refund again. SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager lost and battle and the war.
They would have lost nothing by returning it to the Manufacturer themselves, but instead chose to alienate and loose a customer.
PS the cashier thru her two cents in also and said I should shop at another store.

My Question Is: 1/ Why buy anything at SDM on sale, unless you plan on using it right away.
2/Why buy anything at SDM if they don't stand behind the product.

Way to go SDM. And you wonder why people love COSTCO.

Rude post office clerk

Lily, you are in the business of helping business or any customer mail their letters, parcels and to pick them up. Your job isn't to not do your job. Talk on the phone, hide your name tag when told a customer is filing a complaint against you, basically everything the owner of the wildwood shoppers drug mart in saskatoon pays you not to do. The store loses customers due to poor attitudes like yours. Why turn your back. Why be rude, why be a nasty thing? You are paid to do a good job, are you not? Stolen Optimum Points

Shoppers Drug Mart stole my Optimum points without notifying me.
I asked to retrieve my points and they want old receipts, new receipts, urine test, blood test, date of birth, ancestor's maiden names and their dates of birth, their blood type, and 2000 security questions to retrieve my points.
I am SO ANGRY that they will not simply put the points back on my card without all this BS. Is this how Shoppers Drug Mart rips you off? Bad enough I always have to deal with some rude pharmacist from India that never smiles or knows what the words PLEASE or THANK YOU means.

Picked up my sons prescription on Monday left it in the car so I went into grab a coffee came out and both my prescriptions were gone! I don't even know what to do about it, everything I have read and so negative where do I start? Pick-up medication - Lost

Around 5:30pm-6pm today, I spoke with a staff from the branch regarding my intention to pick-up the refills for my medications. The medications are for my High Blood Pressure. (RX9625900/RX25901/RX9625902. The girl on the phone confirmed to me that it will be ready for pick-up at 11:30pm. 6 hrs after, 11:20pm I was at there to collect my medication, only to find out from the pharmacist on duty, no medications was prepared, and was suggesting that i come back the following day. Whats the point of having a 24 hrs clinic when you cannot even commit to your services at the later end of the day?....

Poor Services

Denied a refund

I purchased some cosmetics that were defective, I couldn't even get the eyeliner on my eyes it was barely showing up on my eyes. Who knows how long the eyeliners were in the package, they seemed to have dried up( liquid eye pen) I brought them back the very next day package intact with my receipt. I was refused a refund due to them being on clearance. I was never told these items where a final sale, I am now stuck with 2 eyeliners I spent over 14 bucks on...that I can't even use. I think it's ridiculous that I work hard for my money and can't get a refund. I've been a customer of Shoppers for years and I have never returned an item. It's not my fault that the eyeliner doesn't work. I worked in retail for 16 years and to me this is not fair.

Claiming Of Optimum Points

I don't think it's fair that each Shoppers Drug Mart can have different rules for claiming Optimum Points for purchases that were made. The Optimum card is a part of all Shoppers businesses & therefore should have universal rules & regulations. As a long time customer of Shoppers Drug Mart this makes me feel that this is a loophole that is put into place to make it harder not easier for your customers to accumulate their points.

Essentially, this statement means that Shoppers Drug Mart "can" and "will" decide to return whatever they want with respect to any piece of merchandise they sell regardless of what is stated anywhere else in the Refund and Exchange Information page. They are not by any means obligated to follow any firm business practice related to Refunds and Exchanges. Also, they will choose to exercise this policy when it is convenient to do so without a logical and practical reason, proudly relinquishing their ethical responsibility as a retailer.

Horrible rude customer service

I've went here for awhile. NOT ANYMORE. I started to deal with an extremely misleading customer service representative. I didn't know ur sales tactic was to tell me your parents are dieing so I should buy more products. Really... ? Any store where woman hit on men even when there girlfriends with them is absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend was so bothered by this, when he said, "this is my girlfriend", she responded saying something rude. Then started to hit on me, when I got offended!!! The representatives name was Lacey and I can promise you none of my girlfriends will be attending this location.

Customer service

Last night went there to buy a tv but costumer service was terrible. When I asked the cashier her name is Riyanan ( may be I spell wrong) for price she said she doesn't know the price when if costumer comes to you and you don't know the price so you don't sell the thing at that point her answer is yes she will let the costumer go. So I will ask her to call the manager she refused to do that and then I ask who may I speak to then she said if you really serious then I will call supervisor for you. When I said yes call the supervisor she ask me again are you really SERIOUS. After 2 minutes one person shows up and he did check the price for me and while I was talking to him that I am unhappy with your costumer service behaviour one girl right beside her smiling and apparently she was a supervisor of the store but don't know how to handle these kind of situation or how to deal with costumers she still taking her employees side. They don't know even how to feel sorry.

management mistreating employee

my complaint is about a manager at a store in ottawa (orleans) ontario 3940 innes road" As I was waiting in line a the cash a manager by the name of STEPHANIE was yelling at the cashier and the staff .. she even call one of the girl STUPID in front of about 5 or 6 customers. This is harassment. This kind of behaviour from a manager should not be tolerated.

Racism at it highest

I went on shoppers at Stonebridge mall recently and was browsing for an item. I was closely watched and followed. when I stepped out of the store . A man called to me and said, if I paid for the tampons I took up. I told him I didn't take up tampons but I had put back the item I took up. He then showed me an empty Children's Tylenol box and said he found it close to where I was standing. he asked me to remove my coat in the cold and search me while many bystanders and passers-by watched and even took pictures. When he didn't find anything on me, he didn't even apologise, he just walked off. I was so embarrassed. What if that picture or video gets on social media? I am surely not a thief. Shoppers drug mart you can't treat your customers like that. Now I am sick from a cold and is very depressed from the incident.
