Selling used, damaged and expired products

Regarding the shop at Bur Oak Avenue and Markham road:

Watch out for this shop, I bought cosmetics and skin care from this shop few times and I found the products are used or expired. However, the people who worked there refused to exchange and accusing me of damaging the products. The attitude of those people who work there are mostly rude. I don't recommend anyone to shop in this location!

Racist

I went to a store on highway 7 and Martingrove Shoppers drug mart to purchase a product since I went to another and they didnt have it in stock and referred me to this one. A woman named Rosie assisted me but she made some rude remarks and gestures that seemed very unprofessional and rude. I wasn't expecting this kind of experience especially since it was a boutique type of store. I literally felt uncomfortable and ended up leaving the store not buying what I wanted. I am never shopping at Shoppers drug mart again, they are very racist and unprofessional.

Poor Customer Service

991 King Street West shoppers: This black old lady manager is very rude. One time I purchased a lotto ticket and she asked for my id, so I showed her. Few days later, I go there to buy lotto ticker again but forgot my id. Then I saw that the lady was working, so I talked to her but she didn't allow. This was fine accept that she could've said it kindly. What really made me angry was when my mom purchased tylenol recently, and I saw that the expire date was after a week, but my mom threw out the receipt. I still went to at least ask for an exchange, and the cashier even asked the pharmacist and he agreed that I should be able to exchange, but the manager refused with a rude attitude again. She didn't even try anything. It's sad that the cashier lady was very kind but the manager was not.

Pharmacy

I recently called my pharmacy to refill a prescription, when I entered the RX number it said "no remaining prescription" I was unaware of what this meant so i hung up and called back, tried it once again and then requested to speak to the pharmacist. After waiting for over 5 minutes(I don't really mind the wait) I finally got on the line with a male, I told him about my problem and he said the exact same thing that the machine told me, "there are no refills remaining". I asked him what it meant and he told me ion a very rude tone that i was no longer allowed these because i had went over the 3 box limit. Well,the prescription is for the test strips for my glucose meter, I am a type 1 diabetic and without these I can not survive. I told him that I needed these and he said,"well, without the prescription you cant have any or you will have to go and get some from the doctor, i explained my doctor is located in Peterborough so that was out of thew question. He then told me "you will have to pay $80 a box then and i don't think its worth it" He was obviously not aware of what he was talking about because these prescriptions are needed in order for me to survive. I was very disappointed with the service and this is not the first time. I will be switching pharmacies as soon as possible!

Staff treatment

I have never seen such low moral....The lady owner treats her staff like garbage! The store looks dirty too.&.very unfriendly.

staff respect

Not sure if it happens elsewhere but in the Shoppers I visit in Scarborough the staff are always loudly chatting in languages other than English, this is very rude and an established store like Shoppers should not allow it, if they are talking in front of customers in another language while they are obviously doing it for a reason. Looks suspicios to me when i see this. Especially as they are usully looking around as they do so.

Rude, rude, rude!

This Shopper's Drug Mart is located at 661 Upper James Street, Hamilton Ontario. It's right at the corner of Upper James/Fennell Avenue (dividing line between East and West).

The lady, named Lorraine, was assisting me at the Post Office. I needed to put tracking numbers on both pieces of mail that I wanted to send out, as they are really important documents and it's imperative that it gets to where it needs to go PROPERLY. The last time I used this postal service, they lost one piece of my mail and I had to wait a few months in order for me to mail out these documents again.

I had brought in an envelope (this envelope was sent to me, it was required for me to use it), but I needed to purchase another envelope at the counter for another piece of mail. I wanted tracking numbers on both pieces of mail. I had asked her several times to tell me where I can find the tracking numbers. One tracking number was on my receipt, but not the other one. She told me the tracking numbers would be on my receipt, when only ONE of them was on there. I explained that I still didn't understand where I can find the numbers, and she said "you are not listening to me." I told her "I am listening to you, I am just having a difficult time understanding what you trying to tell me."

Of course, she hid away at her cash register, saying "okay, okay, that's fine." Not even a sorry. I'm still trying to contact the manager of the postal office and left a message. I will keep contacting them until they listen to me.

That Shoppers Drug Mart treats people like garbage; if you hate your job so much, then leave it. It's not our problem.

Ignorant uninformed pharmacists

The pharmacists here are among the least caring and illegitimate phamacists I have worked with. They are completely unwilling to do ANYTHING to help out the people, us innocent patients who have been prescribed these fake manufactured drugs to temporarily ease our symptoms, drugs which have terrible side effects and many that make us addicted to them and which DO NOT CURE us. I have gone through hours and hours of phone conversations with these people(pharmacists) and the doctor's offices trying to get them to give me a higher dosage of my medication so that I am not stuck seeing my pharmacist every week to continuously renew my dozens of prescriptions. I am only in my 20's and I cannot imagine how much worse it will be in the future. I also went to the trouble of doing all of this, to be informed that the pharmacy had never recieved a fax from my doctors office to increase my dosage and that I would have to make everyone repeat the process... just because some idiots aren't doing their jobs at recording incoming faxes and updating our files as necessary.

I have also gone in there several times to pick up prescriptions that are not done when they are supposed to be done. How lazy is that?? I hate pharmacists.

Ignorant uninformed pharmacists

The Ontario Ministry of Health changed the guidelines recently on prescriptions - doctors need to submit more documentation with prescriptions (to combat fraud and abuse). They also need to submit your Health Card number with prescriptions now. It sucks for people on medication, but a pharmacist isn't a doctor - they are only dispensing your medication. Pharmacists (in Ontario) are not authorized to change your dosage - only your doctor can do that. If the pharmacy didn't get your renewal, it could be their mistake - or it could be your doctor.

My wife purchased eye lash product that eretated her eyes, she went back to return it with out receipt even with a store credit but they refused and they were very rood and asked her for receipt. My wife looked every where until we found it in the car. I went my self to return it. The cashier said we can not take it back because it was $59 plus tax even with the receipt now. I asked for the manager. He came. His name was Frank. with the security because there was also another problem before me. The security officers are form the mall (Tecumseh Mall). He refused taking it back because it was open. I told him of course it has to be open. how can she try it and like it or doesn't with out opening it. I tried to convince him that when you purchase any thing and doesn't suit you or affect your health, you should be able to return it specially when you have proof of purchase and less than 30 days. He answer was ( I don't know what country you are coming from but we don't do this in Canada) I don't understand what this has to do with the this issue. but that reflect his racism. I told him I am Canadian and I have been living in Canada for 17 years and I told him I don't believe you if you want to tell me you never purchased something that you didn't like and return it, . That was in front of the mall security and did not do any thing.

Horrible cusromer service

I went to Shoppers Drug Mart to buy an eye liner I selected one and was looking to other part, one of the staff came and said are you ready to pay. It was like they wanted me to leave. I paid and I never buy anything from them again as by default they look at everyone as a thief or whatever.
