I have just tried some new Clarks in icy condition and went flying. They have absolutely no grip on ice or concrete with mildew. Model UK 55 265/25 0613 15856

Shoe Makes Me Stop Short
I wear Clarks and bought some new ones at the end of January last year. This one pair kept making me stop short and when I walked into the building where I use to work I stopped short and fell and injured my lower back and right shoulder. I was let go from that job and I am on Disability because of the injury and I am in constant pain. The shoe kept making me stop short and I will not wear them. I am in a financial debt problem because of them.
it will not let me attach the copy

Disintegrating shoe
I couldn't figure out what all the black tar like stuff was all over my floors then realized it was coming from my shoe! The sole of my Clark sandal was cracked all the way across in two places and small pieces had fallen out. I had to use Glue Gone to get much of it off my tile. These were expensive shoes that I just wore at certain times to make them last. Guess that was a mistake.

Clark Shoes
I have bought 2 pair of Clark shoes in the past year. One pair I purchases at JC Penney's & one pair at Macys. Both pairs of shoes are very uncomfortable. I can wear them for about 1 hour & have to take them off because they hurt my feet. I have bought Clark shoes for years & have always been satisfied. It seems now that they are manufactured in Viet Nam or China they are awful. I will never buy another pair of Clark Shoes.
Sincerely yours,
Marilyn Hartman

Clarks shoes -Unloop black
I've bought Clark's shoes for years and have bought 3 of the in loop brand. The measurement along my heal to my ankle seems to have changed on the shoe, at first I thought oh maybe the narrow shoe was the problem so I returned and bought the wide but the same problem then I found this site.
It seems strange to me that most of the shoes being complained about are ladies shoes, hardly any kids and could only see that one pair of kids trainers was an issue, in the complaints I looked through. Why aren't any parents complaining about kids school shoes?
Whilst I see what one complainer wrote about hydrolysis and us needing to wear our shoes to avoid the moisture staying and shoes breaking down surely this is due to a new type of sole only used on some styles as we'd all know about this and be complaining. Whilst kids grow out of shoes could also explain it not sure it does - maybe it's only certain styles.
Maybe they should provide us with some of the moisture sachets if this would assure the shoes lasting or they should change what they are doing.
I still however would like to know if anyone else has a problem with the unloop brand this year. So disappointed loved these shoes.

Clarks shoes poorly made, fall apart
No more Clarks shoes for me! Got a pair of slides, very comfortable for the short period of time I wore them. Then the top separated from the bottoms. There was stitching that was visible. The shoes had appeared to be well-made... but just were not. Too bad... seemed like Clarks had built a good reputation but now produced shoddy shoes, it seems, from all negative comments/experiences I have now seen.... Nor do they stand behind their product, it appears. No doubt because most of their shoes are no longer well made.

Shoes just fell apart
I got my Clarks closed toe flat dress shoes to wear in lui of the higher boots I normally wear and that I usually regret. Anyway I put them away for the Summer and today when I pulled them out they were literally just the tops and broken pieces of the soles. It freaked me out thinking I might have mice or something until I realized they were the only shoes affected and there was no sign of furry critters anywhere. So I Googled Clark shoes falling apart and whalla! It seems to be an ongoing issue with this brand. Bummer! They were so comfy, but now they be creepy!

Heels get 'squishy' and then collapse from inside
I have had two pairs of my Clarks get "squishy" in the heel and then just collapse in the heel shortly after, all while the outside of the shoe look as if they are brand new. I always buy Clarks so when this happened the first time I just thought it was a lemon pair of shoes but when it happened with the next pair I bought as well, I knew that Clarks were going down in quality. It's too bad, I love the look of Clarks and they have always been the most comfortable pair of shoes. Guess I will be looking for a new brand that is a better quality than Clarks.

clarks shoes
I have had 3 pairs of Clarks shoes that have been stored well disintegrate on me after walking in them for a few minutes. I always kept them for best but should not have bothered. I am so angry that I'm taking this 3rd pair back and throwing them over the counter and demanding my money back even if it was several years ago I bought them. Why pay an extra premium for what you believe is quality shoes when in fact they are cheap rubbish !!!!!!

Childs socks wet after 2 weeks of wear
Hi, I have purchased a pair of Clarks runners for my 6yr old for school. He is back a week and 2 days and came home today with wet feet. I paid 50 euro and I am looking for a refund. I understand the runners are not water proof however I dont expect wet socks after 2 weeks. There seems to be dampness coming from the sole.
Can someone please come to my aid. I cannot send my child to school in these runners next week. Back to school is a very expensive time for everyone.
Regards
Lorraine

Clarks shoes
I buy Clarks shoes and have found that on the last three pairs the soles have disintegrated badly well before they where worn out. The tops are still in good condition. I would like someone to look into this matter as I have heard there are many complaints.
My shoes were not old or stored badly.

Born and Clarks soles disintegrate
I have had several Born and Clarks brand shoes disintegrate, along with a pair of Bass sandals years ago.
I have read on their websites that it is storage, heat/cold, and age.
My shoes are stored on shoe shelves in a bedroom closet, away from temperature extremes, I live in a mild climate, both winter and summer, and the shoes have not been more than 3 to 5 years old. Most were also lightly worn.
I have other synthetic soled shoes that are literally decades old, some over 30 years old...(yes, I still wear them occasionally) that have soles that are still durable and in good condition. Some have black soles, like my DocMartens and some have the lighter colored soles.
My point here is that not all synthetic soled shoes deteriorate. Some do, and some don't. It may be the type of material used, or the process used to manufacture them. It has been my experience several times that both Born and Clarks tend to break down... more than others.

clarks sandals
Second pair of Clarks that have disintegrating soles. It doesn't happen with other makes. Why doesn't everyone, there MUST be thousands, form a joint complaint to get some better compensation?
They are not fit for purpose.
Shop assistant said they have not been worn enough! Fiddlesticks! Who would wear sandals when the snow is on the ground!!!

Hydrolysis Information
Let me help you!!!. I have been interested in this problem called "Hydrolysis". Certain comfort shoes with Polyurethane soles crumble, and fall apart with a sticky mess. This occurs when moisture in the air (humidity perhaps), which cannot be avoided, joins with the chemical makeup of certain synthetic soles on shoes. There are numerous synthetics ( go to munroshoes.com. they explain hydrolysis) , and I have not found out if it happens to all synthetics. From the research I have done, I have found out that a synthetic soled shoe needs to be worn to get the moisture out of the sole. Munro would not give me much information, but what I am doing is; even if I don't wear certain shoes on a regular basis, I try to at least wear each one for an hour or so when I am home in the evening, so as to get the moisture out. Walking takes the moisture out-I read all the Clarks complaints, and Clarks might have more problems than just Hydolysis. I have over 100 pairs of all types of shoes, boots, sandals, and I am annoyed that I might have a potential major melt down of my footwear. I guess I do not have to worry about my Italian leather shoes with leather soles and heels. Also, I would suggest not to keep shoes in plastic bins, because plastic will keep moisture in. My shoe collecting is going to be put on hold, until I wear out a few dozen, because it seems like there might be an expiration date on certain shoes now. Hopefully wearing and walking on them in the evening will work for me. I did have a pair of soles on aerosole shoes melt down many years ago. They were probably 8 years old and I never wore them.

sole falling apart on my Clarks sandal
I have bought Clarks shoes for years as they have been the most comfortable and I can get them in my size 51/2. Over the years I have recommended them to friends. Today I put on a pair of my Clark sandals and looked at the sole, it was falling apart. This is a shame as I thought your company was a good and upstanding company. I have been on your web site and can't believe the complaints there were for the same problem.
I hope the Clark company will do something to correct this problem or their reputation will be ruined and you will be losing a lot of dedicated customors.

Clarks Shoes
Have had 2 pair of Clark's sandals totally disintegrate as though it was shredded cardboard. Didn't know at first what was on my floor mat in my car. Couldn't contact Clark's because I could not read the number inside the sandals. Had 1 pair where the shoes totally separate between the soles and the upper leathers while I was walking into a funeral. Could barely keep my balance. Contacted Clark and they allowed me to get another pair. They asked me if I kept them in the shoebox or another container and I told them yes and they told me this was the problem. I've been wearing shoes for 70 years and not another brand ever did that. Another 2 pair separated between the soles and upper leathers. Fortunately I have been wearing them as slippers so I just throw them out because Clark's will say it was my fault for keeping them in containers. I don't have a closet where I can have shoes lined up and not stacked so I didn't bother contacting them again. I have at least 10 more pair to go. Cannot believe they can get away with this. They are pure junk!!!

Clarks Shoes Falling Apart
I have lost about 8 pairs of Clarks shoes to the soles separating from the uppers. Some of them had been worn only a few times and looked brand new with the exception of being split in half. One pair fell apart as I was walking into church for a funeral; how embarrassing! Another pair fell apart while on vacation. They just crumbled off my feet while we were walking.
The first time I contacted the company, the gentleman offered to replace my shoes pair for pair. I did get two pair replaced. When I contacted Clarks this week, the best they can do is 25% off new shoes. This is how they treat their loyal customers? I have loved my Clarks shoes, but not if they won't stand behind their product.

Clark shoe refined policy
I am living in Ireland and two years ago I got a Clark shoe and was happy with it. Yesterday(Friday 17/6/16) I got the same shoe with different colour.( I got my shoe at Clark city central shoes in Limerick Ireland ). I wore them and walked for less than 10 minutes but they were not comfortable. I had really sore feet so the next day(18/6/16) the first thing I did was to returning them to shop. but shop keeper didn't refined me and told me that he can not find any problem with the shoe. while the returning policy is 14 day policy.
I will never ever ever would get any of Clark shoes again and will write the Cheating story of the store on my Facebook page at least let the other know. very disappointed with the Clark Brand and the customer service:(((((( it stinks

Disintergrating Clark Shoes soles
I too have purchased many Clark shoes in the past...NEVER AGAIN. Thought this was a trusted company that produced a great product. Apparently they come with an expiration date...LOL. I had a pair separate from their sole one evening out with friends much to my embarrassment, soles that disintegrated at work all over the carpet, crumbed heels off of a pair of boots, and the list goes on for about 5 pairs of Clarks. I took photos and contacted Clark Bostonian to report the problem and they recommended that I return them to the place of purchase. After owning them for 9 months to a year or so they did not even suggest that they would make good on them and offer any type of replacement. The shoes looked incredibly like new without wear on them ...very very disheartening to have spent good hard earned money on something you would think would be a durable product from a company like Clarks, thinking they would stand behind their product only to find they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMER .
