Lost count...

Thinking the count is 4 or 5 pair of Clark's clogs - RUINOUS ! ! !
To be fair, I guess only one shoe of 2 pairs "lost it's top," so really, only 8 shoe were defective.
* Too bad the surviving shoes were the same foot, I would have worn them, style/color disparity and all.
I know I'm crazy to have purchased more Clarks, after that first pair split at the seams...
BUT, I loved these clogs.
The first pair, I wore the sh¡t out of, I mean, pretty much daily for a couple of years, so -
The second and third pairs' demise, I contributed to the online vendor, possibly selling seconds or defects ~
AND I'd already purchased them before pair one's bottom separated from it's top.
Neither of those lasted too long, after the first, the tops still looked brand new - (* only one of each torn apart.)
The next pair I purchased from a very reputable vender, and are still both in one piece, (knock wood.)
Had to replace the dark red pair I had and it may or may not exist in whole, somewhere, but as of this writing, I'm unsure of where it might be > I know!?!
Last purchase, (honest, I mean it,) just fell apart in the last month. I had them for a few year, but only worn them with nicer outfits.
[{(Croc'd w/all casual wear, the past few years, #so sad and all but rubber shod )}]
Looking for Clark's clogs replacements. I know this is a complaint board, but anybody have any solutions or alternatives?

Soles separating and heels crumbling

Hi too have had the exact same problems that everyone else is claiming. They don't seem to handle water well, so I guess shouldn't be worn on rainy days.

I've had two pairs separate from the sole, and 2 other pairs disintegrated at the heal. It was embarrassing! I left little pieces of shoe behind me as I walked and a big mess under my desk.

I love the comfort of their shoes, but now that I see so many other people having the same issue, I guess I will have to find a new favorite brand. So sad!

Top of the shoe comes off of the sloe

This is the second pair of Clarke shoes that the top has come off of the sole. The most recent pair was purchased about a year ago, worn 3 times. No sympathy from a local store. Way too expensive to take a chance on the shoe falling apart on you.
DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$$
They aren't worth it especially if they don't stand behind the product

Sole coming seperated

Top of shoe has come unstitched or unglued from the sole. No. 79498, black drew size 8, med.
I purchased at Belk Dept. Store. $70.00. Will you replace or offer some discount on new pair?

Clark soles seperated from shoe

As noted in many other complaints, I have had 3 pairs of clark shoes that have seperated at the stitching between the sole and shoe. My guess is that they are not really stitched just put together with some type of cheap glue that disintegrated over time. It is a shame to charge consumers such a high price for shoes and then make them so cheaply.

My guess is the company is fully aware of the issue since their employees have had to experience the same issue, however, they do not want to stand behind their product. Short term, no more CLARKS!

Since these type of issues generally end in a class action suit, that may be our only recourse.

Clark and Born shoes

I have had several pair of lightly worn Clark and Born shoes fall apart. They do not last. The soles detach from the uppers and the soles split.

rubber soles of clark shoes

I have now had 2 pairs of Clark Brim shoes because they are the only shoes I have been able to wear that don't hurt my heals. The first pair had multiple holes on the bottom and I wore them this way because the Brim shoes are hard to find and because I couldn't afford to buy a new pair. Finally in October 2015 I was able to find another pair online and purchased those. It is now January and already the rubber soles are wearing out - I wear these at work - these are supposed to be walking shoes -- I work retail but walk only on carpet, stand a lot, etc. I also own a pair of Clark dress shoes that I wear only a few times a year - these aren't worn enough to wear out.

I don't know what to do because having worn so many other shoes causing me problems that without the Brim shoes I don't know what I'd wear - but why don't they wear better? We are talking 3 months on the latest pair - no holes yet but the rubber souls are wearing down. Last time I called customer service they said the wait was over an hour - I've never heard of such a thing.

I have no idea what to do. I can't afford to keep buying these shoes yet they are the only ones I can wear without my plantar fasciitis causing me problems. I have been so grateful for these shoes - but why do the bottoms wear out so fast? This makes no sense.

Born Shoes Fell Apart

I have a pair of born shoes that are about 8 years old. Don't wear them a lot, but they look very new. Stitching is coming apart and they will eventually fall apart. This is the third pair that this has happened to.

Soles of Clark shoes separated from top of shoe!!

I had just put on a pair of my Clark shoes. Went down town. In one store one shoe completely separated top from bottom!! I was barely ably to get home and get a different pair of shoes. I have bought several pairs of Clark shoes thinking they were a good quality of shoe. That is just not true. Very cheaply made. At a high dollar price. I will never buy another pair of your shoes. Actually afraid to go out in the other pairs I own. I am so disappointed in the quality of your shoes. Terrible product!! Emily Meeks

Clarks and Born Shoe Soles Disintegrated

I have been a lover of Clark and Born shoes for years due to their comfort. Don't know what has happened to the quality as I have had an almost brand new pair from both brands have soles that just disintegrated within the past month. The Born pair happened on a day that it was pouring rain and by the time I got from my car to the office building the souls had cracked and were falling apart. By the end of the day I had embarrasingly left pieces of the soles all over the office and had soaken wet feet by the time I made it to my car at the end of the day. Similar situation with a pair of Clark's last week and this past summer 2 pair of Clark Sandals and a pair of Born sandals I had just purchased the previous summer did the same thing. Don't know what has happened to the quality but I will never purchase either brand again...and I will be telling everyone to stay away from this brand. Sad to read that the companies obviously don't care.

Have attached a pic of the Born soles so you can see what a disaster the soles are.

Clarks

This is the second pair of flat work shoes I purchased from clarks that the sole has split. I work in a pharmacy walking on a dry floor with just a short walk to my car. I never wear the shoes any other time yet both pair the soles have split along the ridge underneath letting in water. The first pair I put down to bad luck seeing I had only had them about 2 months. Now the second pair have split on the sole again along the ridge as part of the pattern. After reading what everyone else has to say I probably won't even bother getting in touch with clarks, not that would purchase another pair of their shoes again. Shame because I always thought clarks shoes were quality!

Defective rubber soles

i have had a number of Clarks throughout the years. Over the last 10 years, the quality has deteriorated immensely. Within the last couple of months I have discarded three pair of Clarks because the soles disintegrated. Prior to this, I have had to discard several other pairs that were in like new condition for various sole related reasons such as the sole separating from the shoe, sole cracking or chipping. I contacted the company and was told it is normal for rubber to disintegrate through a chemical process and the shoes did not fall under its guarantee although I was never asked about the age of the shoes. It was a very poor response given that I had noted my Mephisto, Finn Comfort and Birkenstock shoes all were much older and in great condition. My advice to shoe shoppers is NEVER PURCHASE CLARKS SHOES. There is a big problem that the company does not want to address and my guess is that production costs mean more to the company than having satisfied customers. This leads me to believe that Clarks sells a large volume of shoes and a few complaining customers is irrelevant. Perhaps Clarks should also think about those customers who didn't complain but won't purchase the Clarks brand in the future.

Bad Clark's shoes

I had bought 2 pairs of clogs either at Dillard's or Macy's. Had them a month or so and decided to wear to Church. They fell apart and I did not even make it to the car with shoes on my feet - were in pieces. The leather just tore apart at the stitching. I was very embarrassed and angry. Could not find the receipt for them so of course I could not get my money back.

I didn't think the second pair would have the same problem but it did. Luckily I had not made it out of the house yet. I can only think that they are making them in some 3rd world country for 50 cents a piece - but they were even worth that. Shame on you Clark shoe makers.

I have not tried on another pair of Clarks. I had many pairs before for years that were great shoes and I just wore them out but the last 2 pairs fell apart the first time I wore them.

I don't have money to just throw away like that and I am very wary of buying them again. To bad it seems like a good shoe company is circling the drain.

Clark Clogs

Just took a relatively new pair of Clark clogs out of my closet to walk to my mailbox. On the way back up the driveway, both shoes fell apart...the uppers came almost completely off the soles!!! I nearly splattered onto the driveway. When I got inside, I also noticed a big chunk missing from one of the heels...it's just disintegrating and crumbling in my hand. Both my husband and I have owned a number of Clark shoes for years and never encountered such an issue. In point of fact, I've never had any brand of shoe fall apart in this manner. What is going on here? Any response from Clark?!!? November 20, 2015

Clarks Shoes

Pair of winter shoes I took out of wardrobe 1 week ago and the soles have completely fell apart. Sticky mess. Shoes are approx 22 months old and only worn for a few months out of this as were winter shoes.
No reason given about these from Clarks just offered £10 voucher towards new shoes. THEY THING I WILL BUY CLARKS again NO WAY.

Did Clarks know there was a problem? If so did they still sell shoes with this problem?

Clarks shoes have gone so far down hill not sure they will ever get to the top again.

2 pairs of shoes melted

I bought two pairs of your shoes and they fell apart one pair while I was wearing them. I can't believe this. The only thing cheap about them was the lack of quality.

Clark's Shoes

I've had two pair of Clark's shoes in which the soles just crumbled. I'm a teacher and had to call my son to drive to my school to bring me another pair, as it was so embarrassing. I will never buy Clark's shoes again. Too bad, because they used to be made of such high quality. I've read that since they moved their factory to China, the quality has really gone downhill.

The Soles Disintegrate

Over the years I have purchased 5 pairs of Clarks shoes, as I loved the styles and liked to keep them for special times. As a shoe lover I have several pairs of shoes so none of them are worn on a very regular basis. On one pair the soles ripped away from the uppers, and on the other 3 pairs the soles disintegrated. I still have one 'winter' pair which I am hoping have survived summer storage. Clarks were the top name in shoes when I attended school during the 50's, best you could buy, but no longer. I will not be buying any more.

Clarks shoes

The Childrens shoes have got so poor quality over the last 7 years. They used to last. In the last year I have returned 3 pair. 1 sole came unglued after 1 month of wear, 1 pair split across the middle and the last pair came unstitched within the first week of wearing - I was then advised his feet width had been wrongly measured!!!. Hate buying poor quality especially at high prices but other shops do not cater proper for children's fit.

Soles of Clark's shoes crumbling

I have now discovered another pair of my Clark's shoes have breaking/crumbling soles! This is about the 5th pair that have done this. I will NEVER buy Clark's shoes again, and I am telling everyone I know about this. I have a favorite pair, several years old but worn very little, and now the soles are beginning to break and split.

Melting soles

Same as everyone elses complaint BEWARE OF CLARKS SHOES. Unless there is a leather sole your shoes are likely to have the soles crack and become sticky after a variable time apparently if you do not wear them regularly. I have had two pairs do this: accepted the offer of a £10 voucher on the first occasion wbt didn't the second time as would be pouring my money into the "Hydrolysis hole". Shame on you Clarks, shoes should be capeable of being stored and worn only occasionally without falling apart.

Slippers Kite Storm (Mens)

Purchased Jan 2015, started wearing Late Feb/Early March 2015
The red "plastic" sole plate which gives the impression these will wear well has come through the leather on both feet, and"tears 2 to 3 inches long in leather.
I have never paid so much (£35) for slippers before and wont be again.
I see the model is no longer available and if I look hard I can see in the slipper that they are Chinese.

I have just returned using the postage paid label today, so will be interesting to see the response

Color Disappeared

I purchase my Clarks at an outlet store, so the prices are more affordable. But, my Navy shoes turned a Tan color!! Now what do I do?? These were kept in a closet, so don't blame it on sunlight. I'm baffled.
