I paid for what i thought was anti virus through Dri avast who have taken £14.99 from the credit card I used and have never received anything . My free avast has just been updated . Was this a scam coming through the avast " anti virus expiring " message .

I renewed my AVAST on 11/16/14 and paid $39.99 This was done on-line and went through Chase Bank. It says there is no coverage currently in a pop-up. What's up with that? Answer please!

I was charged $84.95 and still no protection

I thought this was an anti-virus protection I added on my computer. I was wrong. I was charged $21.24 twice. That is $42.48 July 1,2014. I was getting e-mails saying my computer was critical and had 492 errors. I had no protection, so I added DRI*AVAST again. This time it cost $42.47, and still no protection. This caused a virus. I am trying to get my money back.

Tried download of AVAST upgrade of $29.99. Download failed. I was told I needed a $119 "tuneup.:
6 engineering sessions later and numerous phone calls. still have computer problems. According to AT&T tool box 11 Network and Security issues + remote acess and open to hackers.
During one of their engineering sessions they deleted my Grimefighters program I paid for in Feb. 2014.
Callled today, 10/06/2014 told no refund and no live person to resolve issues. Just more fix it tickets, tickets, and tickets.
Fed up.

I had been using the free anti virus for a couple of years, when it came time to expire Avast offered me better protection for only $9. and something. I agreed and installed the download. I ended up with the Avast logo covering 3/4 of my screen. I shut my laptop down and rebooted and again the logo was there, I tried other things but nothing worked. I called avast and was directed to a tech who took control of my laptop, he thought my laptop was very slow and that he could make it like new. He said I had a very good pc and it would be worth it. I told him it didn't seem that bad to me cuz I was a little slow myself. Anyway he talked me into it because he gave me the impression my pc wouldn.t last much longer if I didn't. It was $179.99, a new laptop would be alot more.
Since the installation my laptop is slower than ever, back key doesn't work, all kinds of things going wrong. I called avast and they refused to return my money because 5 days had passed and I used the product. I was not aware that I used it but I guess the tech removing their logo was concidered using it. I was not aware of the 5 day rule either, what kind of gaurantee is that?
I feel that I was taken advantage of, I feel very foolish and afraid to tell my adult children that I fell for this scam. I am disabled and live on less than $800. a month. Because of this I now have only $20.00 in my savings.
Shame on them.

This time last year, I ordered and registered Avast. 12 months later, they "Ratted" my account again. I complained bitterly via Email and was advised that my account had been cancelled. Refund?? Not in your life.

Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer be very aware of this company.

The amount of $39.99 was charged to my credit card on February 10, 2014, and yet it continues to pop up on my screen my protection expires in a few days. Please explain.

I bought Avast Software online with $19.99. When I communicated to the technician to install that on my computer it did not support.
