faulty tablet and no money back

On August 2012 I purchased an Acer Tablet at the PC Richards in Union Square. At first they were sold out but the worker went o the back and got me one that was used and returned. Me not knowing I purchased it. A year later the tablet started giving me problems. It wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge. I went back to the store a few weeks before my birthday and I explained to them the problem.The store manager was very nasty with me saying that they couldn't give me my money back because of their policy. I told him very politely that I needed a new tablet because i was a college student and all my work was there. he didn't care. My friend who is a lawyer contact the corporate office and placed a complaint about that store. They let me know that I was gonna ship my tablet to them and depending on the damage they could give me a store credit. A few weeks later I was informed that I was given a defective tablet without my knowledge and to go back the next day and to get my store credit. I went back and spoke with someone else, but the problem is that nothing in that store works. I asked them for my money back and they refused and I old them that I was gonna purchase my tablet somewhere else. They refused so i purchased a Samsung tablet from them. Unfortunately this tablet also has problems and my warranty is expired. I hate this store and I hope they burn to the ground.

Maytag 5000 series Washer

I was having issues with my Maytag 5000 series washer. I called for an appointment and needed to wait a week for an appointment. When the PC Richard repairman arrived he said he needed to order the part and would take a week for the part to come in. When the repairman came the SECOND time we found out that he ordered the wrong part and we needed to wait another week for the new part. The THIRD time the repairman came and we thought the problem was fixed until I went to use the washing machine and it did not work. Called and tried to speak with a supervisor but was told that a supervisor would call me back. I'm still waiting. I asked if they would be able to come that same day to fix the issue since I have been waiting over a month and the woman laughed and said that's impossible I would have to wait another week. I will never purchase a major appliance from PC Richard again because of the service department. I will bring my business to another department store that knows how to treat customers and have competent service technicians that don't need to come 4 or 5 times to repair an appliance.

Faulty air conditioner

i am filing this complaint on behalf of my 89 year old uncle. Last year he bought a Fredricks air conditioner from the Toms River store. After one week he had problems with the unit. They replaced it. The second unit was doing the same thing and when he called he got a run a round. He wanted his money back so he could buy something else. They finally sent a service man down, he said nothing was wrong. It was loud and rattling and would not blow cold air all the time. After four service calls he was still told nothing was wrong and there was nothing PC Richards could do. By the it was end of summer so he didn't need the air. This week he put the unit on, it worked 1 day then started with the loud rattling noice. In the middle did the night he hears a rumbling sound and a loud bang. So of course nothing is working now. Called for service again! They were rude and not very helpful and he has to wait 5 days for a service call even after he told them he was not a well man and needs the air.
For a company like PC Richards this is so unprofessional. Look at all the consumer complaints they have. What are they selling garbage products!?! He needs to get his money back so he can buy a quality product!

The customer service at the Paramus store P C Richard & Son is a joke.

I am probably among the easiest customers P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ have seen. I wanted a TV, knew the exact model and size I wanted, had the money in hand, and just wanted a competitive rate from Best Buy. The customer service at the Paramus store P C Richard & Son is a joke. They don't know their products. They don't know what the cost of items are. And when I asked what the final cost would be tv+tax+delivery, our ineffecient salesman said it would be too much trouble to look that up unless it was for the actual sale. But because their price was a few hunderd dollars less than Best Buy I bought the TV. Since then I have had nothing but trouble from each and every person I have talked to at P C Richard & Son. It took me 1 hour on the phone to change my delivery date. I was also told at the store that I could call up 24 hours before hand to get a time of when the tv would be delivered. I have now called 24 hours before hand, and they say I have to wait until the morning of to find out what my 4 hour window will be. I will NEVER buy another items from this store again. I would have much rather paid the extra $200 at Best Buy to avoid all this hassel. After this experience I will make sure no one I know gives a penny to this poorly run company.

P C RICHARD & SON IN PARAMUS IS A JOKE OF A COMPANY THAT SHOULD CLOSE THEIR DOORS FOR GOOD AND i'll tell you why!!! DO NOT SHOP THERE! They sell LEMONS! IF YOU WANT A LEMON, GO TO YOUR LOCAL GROCERY STORE! i was an ex-employee of that Nazi-operated company! i was a victim of their mass layoffs within the past few months! They laid me off blaming the economy and slow sales and whatnot! Then if THEY'RE blaming the economy, THEN WHY DID THEY OPEN 9 NEW SHOWROOMS IN THE PAST 2 YEARS IN THE HEIGHT OF THIS COUNTRY'S WORST RECESSIONS IN HISTORY?!!! I am barely making ends meet and looking for work in this crappy economy is difficult, while those Nazis line their pockets with cash and laughing at the victims they victimized!

PLEASE, do yourselves a favor and don't buy from PC RICHARD & SONI PARAMUS NJ. you'll be doing yourselves a favor in the long run, believe me. They sell LEMONS and treat their employees like CRAP! you're better off buying somewhere else.

.PC Richard & Son in Paramus will never get my business again

I purchased a niko camera in may of 2014, January the usb part on the camera got broken. I took it back to p c Richard & son in Paramus they sent it out, they sent me an e-mail stating that it has to be sent to the manufacture, I said fine and theyalso said i have to pay 100.00 to get it fixed when i only had the camera for 2 months i said fine because i need to get it fixed. I have called customer service and they are given me the no answers for my camera, they keep on sayin its at nikon and the parts did not come in yet. Now it is January 1 and i still have not gotten my camera back yet. They did not even try and give another camera until mines got fixed.PC Richard & Son in Paramus will never get my business again

I will never ever buy from P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ again. Nor will I buy Frigidare

I too have had a problem with P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ. I bought an expensive Frigidare range less than a year ago and have had 3 service calls with another one in the works. The only think on the stove that works properly is the clock! I asked a customer service woman in the store if I could return the range & she laughed! Said, "We don't do things like that."
I will never ever buy from P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ again. Nor will I buy Frigidare.

The new PC Richard & Son are just part of the reason why the economy has downturned.Such a shame!

I bought a HP Computer for my daughter at P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ. The computer turned out to be a refurbished computer sold as new.The employees are rude and think they are above the law. They will not listen to us or our computer repair person. They have basically called us liars. The truth will eventually be discovered . When I called HP they told me that P C Richard & Son is not an authorized retailer of HP computers. They also keep telling me that the consumer should only buy directly from HP or an authorized seller of HP- such as WALMART. I believe that PC Richard & Son buys their HP products from a 3rd party and not directly from HP.They need to be investigated -honesty and integrity-that was in the past. The new PC Richard & Son are just part of the reason why the economy has downturned.Such a shame!

They are obviously overpriced and over-rated! unless its on sale spend your hard-earned money

I too have been taken advantage by p c richards and son and thier sub contracting companies. I have been employed for a # of years with them and to this day they pay some of their workers 40.00(forty dollars) a day salary cash or sometimes it even gets taxed.that includes deliveries and sometimes installations anywhere from 6 to 15 jobs daily.They are obviously overpriced and over-rated! unless its on sale spend your hard-earned money somewhere else where its appreciated even after you have given them your $$$ and they won't leave you holding on the phone all day.avg.waiting time on hold is 15-30 min. sometimes more! They also never tell you that if you have something delivered and installed that it may take one day to disconnect another for pick up another seperate company does the installation besides the delivery. if you call the automated machine to find out times they may say anytime from 9am to 6pm its a joke! SERIOUSLY!!

First ill tell u... dont let ur bad experience with a mediocere sales man b the reason u dont shop there anymore...
ILL GIVE U GOOD REASONS...

1.the sales man ur dealing with gets paid $600/week b4 taxes, which they owe back to the company if they do not cover that.
...that being said he/she probably owes p.c. money...crz u say..indeed..

2.no concern over their sales staff what so ever...unless ur writting 100K a month, therefore becoming an elite pc soldier, (eps-aka "the untouchables", for future ref)

3. most of them want to get fired..

4.in the effort of staying competative in pricing, the price is changed numerous time through the week..(most of the time the salesman dosnt know)if its lower than the tag price someone didnt change it. sucks for their com based salesman...if its higher ull get the lower price...

CLARIFYING the whole comm salesman thing:
there is no longer commision at pc only the idea still exist...u c. it works as such, to earn the commision u must sell it at retail price.. not too hard, except that they post it at a lower price on-line, newspapers, in-store sales...so anybody with internet access or a cellphone (thank god there isnt a lot of those)can find the SALE price.So everything u sell is just 1%, unless ur part of the EPS which means he has the managers code, and is at least getting 2%..


5. THEY DONT HIRE WOMEN, unless its for the front office...I BELIVE IN U SALESWOMAN, they dont!(if u go through their 60+ stores, ull find maybe 10 at thbest..there are about 2000+ men..equal opportunity employer????

6.The unfairness with the EPS and the rest of the sales is crazy, while everyone else is cleaning, taggin storing merchandise an eps will always be just selling...

7.The managers Craig Ruppert (most) are just puppets for "the untouchables", who are just there to make sure the rest of the crew is working hard...to top it off they(managers) love to hand out their duties such as, merchandising, inventories, even truck unloading...but not to the esp no no no

8.It has gotten to the point that to make money u have to b untruthful, a liar and a cheat...carefull of the untouchables...

9. but its not all bad...IF U SAYING U GOT A PRICE FROM 6ave, no matter how retared, they will do it...

Before the old man died i was proud to say i worked at pc.richard and son, it truly was a great place where u could make an honest living..

P.C. RICHARD & Son is NOT the same company from 105 years ago, not even 50, 30, 20 years ago..it changed 2015.

I am sure doesn't bode well that you have to keep comin here to defend PCR--they're no good whatsoever. I have had terrible experiences with them and and will tell everyone I know in Northern NJ to NEVER waste their money/time with their high-pressure salesmen, who give all decent salesmen a bad name. I bought a DSLR camera there a few days ago. I quickly decided I wanted to return it, but the lady said "no way" when I called. Apparently they don't accept returns on cameras. Or much else for that matter. The receipt says returns are fine, but when you got the web site it lists all sorts of items that can't be returned. And that list includes almost everything the store sells. Cameras, most appliances, you got it. So, I say, go to Best Buy, and they give you 14 days to return any item, even a camera, with just a small restocking fee. I wish I bought at Best Buy, as I'm stuck with this thing now...stupid me. Stupid policy

Your company is Nationwide, don't you care how you are being viewed??

Purchased a refrigerator about four years ago. Now I need to have it serviced by their service department and they are completely clueless. A service technician comes out on 2015 and orders the part. I received three missed calls. I contact the number and all I get is a recording. After a week of trying to get through to them I call my local store, speak with a manager. I was told that someone would call on Friday to let me know the time they would arrive on Saturday. No call on Friday. I received a call from the technician on Saturday @ 8:10 am. Was given a time between 11-2. At around 10:30 the technician calls back to inform me that he doesn't have all of the parts and will have to wait. On 1/5/15, I receive a message that I need to contact the service department to schedule the appointment. I call on 1/6/15. The part is not in yet, why would you be contacting me?? It now is a month, the problem has not been fixed. I have a service contract, that I purchased at the time of the sale. Your company is Nationwide, don't you care how you are being viewed??

Delivery man jammed it in my doorway scraped fridge and door frame

After a year and half of service visits to fix my 2 year old Samsung refrigerator - I had to argue with them to replace the unit. They did - with a Whirlpool on Jamuary 4th. Delivery man jammed it in my doorway scraped fridge and door frame, busted the hose for the ice. 2 visits later - finally have ice but dispenser won't dispense now.

Sounds like false advertising to me!!!

One week ago, I set up an appointment for a repair on my new ice maker in my new refrigerator I purchased with P C Richard & Son. They called me one day before my appointment which was on a Friday, to say one technician called in sick on Thursday and he would also not be in on Friday for my appointment. I had to reschedule my repair for the following week. What happen to their commercial where they say you also get all those service people standing behind the customer! There must be at least 50 technicians standing behind them! Obviously, if one technician calls out they have to cancel appointments, so where are the other 49? Sounds like false advertising to me!!!

I cannot recommend purchasing anything through P C Richard & son in Paramus NJ after this horrible experience.

I have been TRYING to have my LG Washer Dryer serviced for over a month now. After evaluating the machine, they told us they need the parts ordered. Since then, the excuses for not coming range from "I don't have the parts today" to "We need two men to do this job so we won't be coming." I have taken time off from work to wait for them, and wasted countless hours of my weekends to no avail. I am STILL waiting for someone just to call to reschedule the appointment for a 4th time and I am still without a washer/dryer. The communication and professionalism of this department is severely lacking. I cannot recommend purchasing anything through P C Richard & son in Paramus NJ after this horrible experience. If you do, you better hope you don't experience any technical problems...

Super unhappy with the customer service of P C. Richard and Son in Paramus store.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2014 and paid for a very expensive 5-yr extended warranty. In October the dishwasher needed to be repaired and I had to wait over a week for a repairman to come to my house, then several more days for the appropriate parts to be ordered. Last week the appliance malfunctioned again and again I had to wait over a week for a repairman to come to my house. The malfunctioning appliance displays an error code which tells the repair service the appropriate parts to order. On the first call, they just didn't order the parts and dispatched a man to my home with no parts at all. On this second call, the same error message was displayed and the parts were allegedly ordered, but the repairman who came to my house said they weren't stocked on his truck. I had to wait all day today, the second day in a row, for a service man who has just arrived at my house, more than an hour after the time frame I was allotted. Super unhappy with the customer service of P C. Richard and Son in Paramus store.

.when they charged me $400 for installation and delivery** sales man tricked us .

I purchased a 65 inches samsung tv and Bose speakers .the delivery guys did not want to take down the old tv and mount the new one .they said they are not supposed to do it they have lot of attitude.They did not want to do the wiring of course which was already done , they don't have any knowledge about installing they tried to attach the bracket on the tv which they suceeded after quiet a few tries, which I think is not proffessionlism .

If you ask any questions the only answer I got was "I am not supposed to do this "" I told you so many times you are not listening . I don.t understan what the *** are you supposed to do .the *.when they charged me $400 for installation and delivery** sales man tricked us .

He just wanted to get commission .never ever believe these *** guys think these delivery people are jealous when they see you buying expensive stuff .Guess we are also not supposed to tip them .dont even tip these bastards

.I am completely dissatisfied with my experience and will never buy anything from this P C Richard & Son in Paramus again

My samsung washer broke and caused water damage to my first floor and basement, waited for tech to evaluate the machine and part to be ordered.It took 2 wks to get thr part and a wk longer for an appt.

The techs came to install, ruined my hardwood floors, were nasty the entire time, and while trying to replace the broken part they broke the door to the machine.

The attempted to leave without even telling me and when i asked a question they ignored me.I am completely dissatisfied with my experience and will never buy anything from this P C Richard & Son in Paramus again- what animals you have as employees!

The fridge was damaged and it has been over FIVE MONTHS of calls and useless services visits without any resolution.

I have never experienced such incompetent service. I made the horrible mistake buying a full kitchen worth of appliance from P C Richard & Son because they beat the prices of others.

As in never, ever deal with them, it's not worth the hassle

I ought large, expensive refrigerator, P C Richard & Son in Paramus sent a surveyor to measure building elevator, our apartment access, etc.On delivery day, one-half our before delivery arrival, we were told the old refrigerator had to be uninstalled before the new one could be installed, and that was our job, which our building staff managed.

(These refrigerator weigh 700+ pounds!). When the very rude, crude delivery team arrived, they demanded that we remove doors, which the surveyor had said was not necessary, but we complied. Then, the team leader refused to deliver the new equipment, deeming this too difficult a task because of the tight fit in the elevator. Meanwhile, we learned that the delivery team did not install, we would have to coordinate with the installer, who would take 2 hours to reach our address.

In the meanwhile, the delivery team had reloaded the new equipment and left the site, whereupon we had to reinstall our old refrigerator. This inefficient, rude and unprofessional behavior disrupted our entire building for at least a half-day and created considerable stress in our household. Caveat emptor!

As in never, ever deal with them, it's not worth the hassle for the little money saved.

P C Richard and Son in Paramus admit that I am not too happy.

I just had my samsung 5.0cuft washer delivered.Im purchased the 5 yr extended warranty.

In total I spent over $1200. When the 2 guys delivered the washer to my garage...they asked me if i wanted them to take the old washer. I said no. They left the new one in the garage, and when i asked them if they were going to hook it up...they said that its only 2 hoses and that I can do it myself.

I then asked them if they were suppose to take my old washer and they said yes. I told them to at least disconnect the washer and move it so that I would be able to p[ut the new washer in place. They did. I am very upset that they didnt upset the washer and told me that there are only 2 hoses to hook up.

Wasn't this part of my installation?I have purchased many things from P C Richard and Son in Paramus admit that I am not too happy.

I purchased a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, friedrich kool series Ac , and Eletrolux washer and dryer at the same month,the dishwasher is not working and the gasket is falling off , I contact the sellers man Armando several times he is always busy and pro messing calling me back later, and never calling me back I went to store six times and they told me that was my fault that I purchase kitchen Aid ( The sellers person made fun of me and told me that he " was sorry for me not affording to buy something better " and I even called the manager but he also don't return phone calls told me that is between me and the seller now, I even didn't mention that the washer and dryer not have been delivered yet . I am very disappointed I lost my appliances on fire five month ago and after dealing with the insurance company a got all the money that I need to replace my Thermador oven and induction cooktop but after this experience I will spend my money somewhere else . Did I mention that I purchase 5 years warranty ??????
