I opened a PayPal account about six months ago to accept online payments for a rental property I own.
Used it two times and stopped as the merchant fees were not worth the convenience charges.

Six months later I get credit card I the mail that I did not order.
No able to revisit the terms and privacy conditions from when I first setup this account.
I can't tell if PayPal considers this an offer from a valid third party partner.

What is opalling to me is to how they can pull credit report when I have a credit freeze on all the major reporting
services. We do not need, nor did we ask for this card. Not to mention it pulls down my excellent fico credit score of 824.

This has to be stopped. ASAP and action against PayPal taken in excess of what they made selling off our credit.

Add yourself to this chain as I smell a class action suit in the works.

A hard inquiry from CCB/PPC was reported to my credit report for a PayPal credit card. I never authorized PayPal to pull my credit for a PayPal credit card! This hard pull resulted in an 8 (eight) point reduction in my credit score. This is sneaky deceitful fraudulent business practices on PayPal’s part. I had my old card for 10 years. I as about to get a loan, then I noticed my approval for my loan ws like 23%, I went to see my credit report to find not only did you do a hard hit, you erased my entire history from my old card. I am asking for my history to be put back up. I am asking for the Hard Pull to be erased. You did not ask me first, you just did it without my authorization.

PayPal strikes again when I called to inform them I wanted my account closed not only because I didn't even use it but because they are partners with other companies skrill is one of them and they got a hold of my debit card info and started charging all kinds of things trips and whatever else over 40 changes tried thank goodness for my bank they caught all but two of them when I informed PayPal they were like what do you think we are going to do about it I was like really close the account now now they screw with my credit score not right

I did not give paypal permissionto go through my credit so i like to have this off my credit i did not have a credit card from them so i like to have this removed from credit or i will find a way to take this to court...because i did not give them permission to go through my credit so it needs to come off my credit today or i will find a way to take thos to court i will take to my lawyer...about it.....

My credit was stolen by pay pal and actually a credit card was successfully opened. I contacted paypal and cancelled the card. I called them and advised I wanted all the hard inquires removed and they said they would research and see if they were actually fraud related. About 2 months later I received a letter stating they had contacted all three credit reporting agencies to remove all hard inquires under my name, but there letter was addressed to my first name and a wrong last name.

I am thinking that all this fraudulent activity is done by them.

I also had a fraud alert on my paypal account but looking at my report this morning, guess what? ANOTHER HARD INQUIRY. I am going to see if there is a class action lawsuit suit going on.

June 29, 2015...I never gave them my permission nor have I ever used PAY PAL.....It caused my score to be lowered....How do I get this removed off my Equifax Report? That seems to me tgat it's illegal to check people's credit without their knowledge. Can anyone tell me how to have it removed?

PayPal did an UNAUTHORIZED HARD CREDIT INQUIRY!!!!! They DID NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO do a credit check on me!!! I will never allow them to credit check me!!! I want them blocked from my credit information! I want them to delete the PayPal account I have with them!!! I will never do business with them again!!!! I want it removed from my credit score!!!!

I have a hard credit inquiry from CCB/PPC and I did not authorize this. I want this removed how do I get this removed?

On Jan 23, 2016 PayPal did a unauthorized Hard Credit Inquiry on my Credit Report which is reflecting on my Equifax Report. I would like to dispute this inquiry an have it removed, or I will be seek legal advice in how to precede in court.

PAYPAL has long been known for unscrupulous banking practices. This "PAYPAL Credit" is just another in that grey, questionable banking methods they employ. I bought some concert tickets and was going to pay for them with my PAYPAL account. I had a choice of entering a credit card or PAYPAL. I checked PAYPAL and they asked the last 4 of my SS# and my address. I entered that and it said APPROVED. I checked CONTINUE and the screen closed and I got an email that I had been approved for $2000 in PAYPAL CREDIT. I did not want a credit account with PAYPAL. It was never offered or explained. Then, the email did not have a link to Paypal or for questions. It only had an I ACCEPT link. I went into my PAYPAL account and found a customer service number. I called and explained and they said I had an account and the first payment had gone out. I recalled the ticket purchase and then PAYPAL said I owed them $.48 in interest. I closed my PAYPAL account. Unfair and underhanded banking practices. Should be shut down.

CCB/PPC aka PayPal made an unauthorized hard inquiry into my credit score resulting in my Good score of 715 down to Fair score of 675. They did not have my permission to do a credit check on me and I request my credit score be restored back to 715.

I had a hard inquiry on my Equifax credit report on June 13 which lowered my Good score of 715 down to 675. I never received credit from PayPal and I am disputing this inquiry. Please help me to remove this PayPal inquiry and restore my score back to 715. I am very upset.

I also have an inquiry showing on my credit report from CCB/Ppc dated 5/10/16. I have never applied for a credit card with them and I don't show that an account has actually been opened (yet), but these inquiries do not help my credit score! I am very upset about this and assume with all the complaints you've received this will be resolved. If not, I think you are looking at a Class Action Lawsuit! As far as I can tell, this is not legal! I am pursuing this matter myself as far as I can before legal action happens.....

ANOTHER unauthorized inquiry on my credit report. This is criminal!

I do not understand how PayPal can run a credit inquiry and open a line of credit - without my authorization. Apparently this happened as I signed up for Skype Business (because I was asked to join a work conference call using Skype for Business and was sent a sign up link). Skype kept telling me I did not have any credit - so I agreed to a $20 credit and used PayPal to pay. I've used PayPal before , but it always charges to one of my credit cards. Apparently this opened the door for PayPal to run a credit check (hard hit) and open a $2,000 line of credit!!!! I'm just about to close on a home - and this is really messing things up. This should be illegal.

I'm actively working on increasing my credit scores, I have a law firm removing old negative accounts, I've paid off numerous credit cards and left the accounts open with a zero balance, and I have credit monitoring. We're going to try to buy a house in the next few years. However, looking at ONLY my Equifax credit report I have 5, count them, 5 hard inquiries showing up on my credit report since the beginning of 2016. I applied for PayPal credit in 2015 and was denied, and now it seems that they are continuing to put hard pulls on my Equifax report almost every month. I've made purchases using PayPal, but have used other credit or debit cards, NOT PayPal credit, and I'm getting hard pulls every month. They're ruining all the work I've been doing to improve both my and my husband's credit scores. WTH??? I found a form that I can send to dispute the pulls, but I have to fill one out for each pull, and the latest one was for this month. I'm more than seriously considering closing my PayPal account, which I've had for years. Until recently I haven't watched really closely, but there's no telling how long this has been going on.

PayPal, without cause, also ran a credit check on me via Equifax. I have not been able to get this removed either.

Use pay pal as a convenience to pay online purchases. At no time did I request a pay pal credit card nor did I authorize a credit search.
I'm requesting that this credit check be removed from my credit report immediately and I will no longer use pay pal.
