Disintegrating sole
Like many others, my Eccos are a couple years old...worn a few times each fall/winter. I took them out for the New Year's holiday and noticed chunks of crumbly black muck on my car mats. At first, I thought we had tracked mud into the car. We each looked at our shoes to see who was the culprit. I was shocked to see that the heels of both soles were craters of disintegrating rubber...where heels used to be. I brought them to shoe repair but was told nothing could be done to save them. The uppers of my shoes still look wonderful but are unsalvageable. This is reprehensible. Even if management plans for failure after a certain number of years, you should still be able to replace cheaply made soles if you so choose. I can't speak for the current shoes...whether they've corrected the rubber heel issue...but I'm not inclined to spend my own money to see if the manufacturer has corrected the obvious error in material choice. To imply that we purchased our shoes from disreputable vendors is insulting. My Eccos were purchased from a highly respected US retailer. I'm very disappointed in Ecco for not handling this problem in a responsible manner.

Ecco sole
Bought two pair of Ecco shoes from Melbourne, Australia. One pair for me, UK man size 8 and the other pair for my wife, UK lady size 7. The top leather portion of the shoes is very comfortable and nice to wear. However, the sole of both our shoes give way and pieces of the loose material start dropping of from the shoes. It was very embarrassing as this happened to us in our New Zealand trip some time in April 2016. We had no choice but to get two pair of Keen shoes, made from USA. We just want to give Ecco manufacturer or even the Board of Directors know the bad quality of the sole and the after sale and service effect from so many customers, who love and like the Ecco shoes.
Can anyone from the customer service advise as to what should I do with these two pair of Ecco shoes. We love the comfort of the upper leather that fit our legs, but not the botttom sole. We still keep the two shoes with us and refuse to throw them away, as we feel it is a waste.
You can contact me at my mobile +65 94874677 (Singapore) or email me at [email protected] or should I bring these two pair of Ecco shoes to a Service Centre in Singapore. Please advise.
Awaiting for your favourable reply.

Disintegration
I wore my Mary Janes out to Christmas shop. These were probably my 4th pair of Eccos, but the only Mary Janes. While walking, I had the sense that my shoes felt different on the soles. I turned around and looked down at my feet and had black clumps and crumbles behind me. I looked at the bottom of my shoes and there were holes in the soles! When I returned to the car, there it all was again all over the floor mat. I was amazed! These shoes are among my more expensive. I thought, "Oh well, I bought a lemon." But it still puzzled me and several days have passed. Just now I thought, I'm going to google this and see what rolls up and OMG...here you all are!! Something is seriously wrong...and this could be most embarrassing and makes quite a mess. ??????

Soles disingrate without warning
I only wear Ecco shoes and up until now I have been very impressed with the fit and quality. That is, up until now.- In the past three months I have experienced the failure of soles on three pairs of Ecco shoes. This is noticed quite quickly as the black soles fail and come apart leaveing an embarrassing trail across the floor. What is wrong with the quality that is expected from your costly product? I have experienced this failure with black soled sandals, black soled boat shoes and lastly lace up black soled brogans.
I look forward to your response and logic for me to consider buying Ecco shoes.

Ecco shoes heels crumbling
I have a pair of Ecco Dress Shoes. This is the fourth pair of Ecco shoes owned. I love my Ecco Golf shoes, but I was at a very important meeting large Corporate Pharmaceutical Company meeting, and I looked down and there were pieces of Black Rubber all over the floor where I was sitting. After the meeting I stood up and started walking and my Heels on my shoes were falling apart. Both Heels. I only wear these shoes for special Formal events. I felt like an idiot. Could not get out of the meeting fast enough. Fairly embarrassing. I could understand this with cheap shoes, but these were NOT inexpensive shoes. Ridiculous!

Shoes sole desintegrating
My house is full of this small chunk, I thought that it was mud following me wherever in the house and finally I looked to the sole of my sandals and found out that I was losing then a small piece at time. I love how soft and comfortable they are but I think I might end up with no shoes on. What to do?

Ecco Class Action Suit?
Sign me up as one who has been a long time user of Ecco boots and shoes. I have had the low boots, high top boots and Cross shoes. I have gone through 5 of the low boots and 2 of the high boots and 2 pair of Cross that went away.
Perhaps there is an attorney that would like to take on a class action against Ecco for the faulty performance of their shoes. They have made these correctly in the past but the shoes currently being made are clearly not up to the standards of the past that provided the reputation of being such a wonderful experience.

Eccos shoes disintegrate
This is the third pair of Eccos I have had that have disintegrated while I wore them. This is a pair of Mary Janes, the other two were different models of sandals. NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything from this manufacturer. There is no excuse for this. the first time it happened, the company only offered to resole them for a price if I paid to ship them pack. They have absolutely no customer service, nor do they seem to care at all.

Falling apart terrible shoes
I wore my Ecco shoes yesterday for my first day on a new job. Got out of the car and thought I stepped in gum. A few more steps and my sock was wet. What? As I continue to walk my other shoe starts to disintegrate. With 8 minutes before reporting for orientation I run into my new manager and have to explain that I have to call my husband to bring another pair of shoes. My Eccos have left a nasty trail of rubber and I am standing there looking like a homeless person with no soles left to my expensive shoes. So embarrassing! Not the impression I wanted to make on my first day! Never buying Ecco shoes again.

Disintigrating Soles
I have expensive Ecco shoes that I wore probably six times over three years. The last time I wore them blobs of the soles began falling off. They look pretty much like the pictures posted here. This wasn't from wear and tear, but a chemical breakdown of the material used to make the soles. Over 50+ years, I've never had shoes do this, cheap or expensive. Absolutely ridiculous. This company cannot be trusted, and I'll never buy Ecco shoes again.

Sole deterioration
High top Ecco Track gore tex, cost $179. All at once, st exactly the same time, the soles at the heel totally deteriorated. See photos. I was at my dentist's office and after treatment I had to ask for some packing tape to hold these together to get home on subway. These are little used and otherwise show minor wear-I wear them only when it rains! Called Ecco customer service and I will send them back at their cost for "evaluation". I will repost once Ecco either makes me whole or screws me.

Soles
At one point I got hooked on Ecco shoes - they were great looking and very comfortable. In fact the only thing I didn't like about them was the high price. Now some years later, almost every pair of Eccos I've owned has experienced a failure of the sole material. Generally the soles just seem to disintegrate, and I just discovered that Ecco no longer offers repairs - one just has to throw away $180 shoes that have failed not due to lots of use, but due to the sole materials not holding up to time - basically the atmosphere. I've had cheap tennis shoes that lasted longer than expensive Eccos. I've gone from a fan to a critic.

ecco shoes
Approximately 3 years ago, I bought 2 pairs of Ecco Mary-Jane style shoes. They were quite expensive - about $130. I wore them each a few times and they were very comfortable. About a year ago, the soles of the clack pair disintegrated and I had to throw them away. This morning, I was going to wear the brown pair, but they had also started to disintegrate. Unwearable. I am going to pay the postage to return the brown pair to Ecco headquarters and demand a refund.

SMELLY BIOM TRAINERS
I have a pair of BIOM Trainers - great £110 at the time, hardly worn, came in from shopping and thought I had a room full of cats in the hall, the trainers were stinking of cats pee for some reason, over the week I scrubbed them, left them in the sun, still stinking, washed again in the washing machine, again still no luck, polished them, still smelly, I dare not wear them.
I have bought ECCO for years and years but WILL NOT be buying them again, I shall also pass the message on so no one else will be caught out and ripped off, or should I say 'peed' off...
NOT A VERY HAPPY ECCO CUSTOMER.........

ECCO
I have had a number of ECCO shoes but this May had three terrible experiences with them. On mothers day my shoes disintegrated as I walked into a hotel that my children were taking me to lunch -embarrassing. The a couple of weeks later expensive sandals disintegrated on my first walk of an international holiday - I had to walk back bare foot which was dangerous. When I took them back to the store I purchased them from the assistant just laughed - I was so angry I left them there. No complaint has ever been answered.

Non Water Proof BIOM Golf Shoe
I am starting on a complaints procedure regarding my supposedly waterproof Biom H Golf Shoes(8 months old). I ask for two requirements from golf shoes, comfort and keeping the feet dry. I know when my feet get wet on the golf course, however, I am having a major problem convincing ECCO. Their test would seem to be to put the shoes in 'a bucket of water'. ECCO say they are dry, I say this does not represent how the foot moves ie back and forward, up & down etc.
The shoes leak up and around the toes. This is Gore Tex mind usually fantastic stuff. The shoes cost £215. Well maybe I was naive to believe Gore Tex guarantee etc but I fell for it. I have numerous ECCO shoes but that will diminish from here on in.
I'll keep chipping away but not hopeful. Similar experience with Merrell, they were much easier to deal with. They put the customer FIRST, I like that.

ECCO shoes literally disenergrate at wedding
My wife and I just attended a wedding tonight for a really great friend of mine. As we arrive to the wedding and we were walking through the rock parking lot, my ECCO shoes began falling apart. The souls became really soft and sticky and rocks began penetrating the bottoms of the shoes. As the wedding began my shoes were still slowly falling apart leaving little black crumbles of shoe sole everywhere. We had to leave the wedding early as my shoes continued to fall apart and completely embarrassed didn't want to continue the evening with shoes that were falling apart. Pretty shitty if you ask me. Stay away from ECCO shoes. Not reliable, poor product.

Ecco shoes
I am an expat living abroad, and I have always purchased Ecco shoes, but in the last few years the quality has really sunk. I have had to pair of shoes now, simply come apart at the sole area. One I have superglued back on, but to pay these type of prices for sub-quality shoes is crazy. Never more, I am going back to more reliable brands.

Ecco soles
This has happened now to two pairs of Ecco's, the sole just comes apart, one of my pairs was simply ruined, the other I have super glued the sole back on, but it's only a matter time.
What has happened to Ecco, quality has really gone down hill. I won't be buying anymore of their products going forward
